  1. ap2 is forged.
  2. I should also mention that when I'm shooting for dead on accuracy, I will club up and do that same tempo'd swing... unless the lower loft won't work on that shot for whatever reason.
  3. Those are not full swings. Slowed the tempo down to show the form in the video. ... but yes, that's my swing .. just a bit more uhhmmphh with my full swing.
  4. Yeah .. I'm thinking a 3 and 4 AP1, 5-PW AP2. It's not that I don't like the 58's ... i'm just not perfect with them. It may be the shaft, it may be the head. I can improve my game with a different set of irons I hit better.
  5. If so ... how are your loft/distance gaps? I'm considering moving over to this setup and would love to hear your comments. Thanks.
  6. 48, 52, 56 and 60 ... i'd love to add another one.
  7. 1+ on adidas shoes. I've got a couple pair and love them.
  8. As many as the tour allows me to. 14. Not a club less. Some courses I'll carry a 5 iron and a 5 hybrid instead of the 4 iron. I can hit my 5 hybrid the same length as my 4 iron but with a different trajectory and that plays better on some courses than others.
  9. Hey Shanka, I'm 6'2" and had my irons custom made with .5" more on the shaft. Can I play without the extra length? Yes. I think the extra length is more for comfort than playability. You can always alter your swing, stance and knee bend to make your current clubs work however in the long run, you'll probably feel more comfortable with a longer shaft which in turn will probably give you better play. Before you spend money on clubs, work on your swing and get it down. I've spent a lot of money in the past trying to get my clubs to fit my swing ... then ultimately spent money fixing my swing ... then buying more clubs to fit my new swing. On another note, if you want a great set of irons that are built for your height, I'm selling my new Mizuno MP-58's that are custom made for you. I have a post in the marketplace for them if you want to see photos or the info. These are NOT a beginners iron however if you started learning and practicing with these, you'd be learning on set of players irons and some say that's doing it right.
  10. "BTW I just 200-300 Balls per day + 9 or 18 holes everyday, So I will use them alot." jesus man.
  11. Adams seems to be a favorite. Try Cobra Bafflers ... they are known to be a very good hybrid as well and I think they're fairly easy to hit and control.
  12. If you are more concerned about control off your driver, I think cutting your shaft is a great idea.... once you're comfortable and confident with that driver, you can then widen your stance and give er hell on those wide open fairways when you need to gain back some of that distance. Make sure you don't cut it too much though .. cutting your shaft starts altering your kick point and eventually will just mess up the entire club if you cut too much off. IMO don't cut more than an inch ... inch and a half at most.
  13. I suggested that she go see the PGA Pro that helped me gain 20 yards off the tee and keep the ball on the fairway. She wants to "get better" first because she has a problem with being nervous in front of strangers. She's very competitive and if she isn't good at it, she doesn't like it and feels dumb. Women. Can't live with em, Can't live without em.
  14. waste of money unless you're a horrible golfer and will never get better. my great grand father uses one.
  15. no clue man. go hit a bunch at your local golf shop. dont go with game improvement irons and dont go with blades. get a players iron.
  16. Maxfli Powermax 2008 Wilson Staff Ci7 2009 Mizuno MP58 2010
  17. One of my girls decided she wanted to start playing some golf to spend more time with me. We started at the range yesterday. She's using my second set of clubs. Here are two videos of her swing. Give me some help on what we need to work on. I've never taught someone from Day 1 before .. She's doing OK however gets frustrated quickly because she isn't consistent. She doesnt understand how tough the game really is. Thoughts? This is her FIRST time every swinging a golf club. These videos were taken after I showed her the basics of the swing and what she should concentrate on. She's hit about 30 balls prior to this video.
  18. widen your stance, keep your chin down at your left shoulder, keep your eyes down at the ball through the swing and swing like hell.
  19. Yup. e6 is a sexy ball. I have a 2 dozen balls in each of my bags ... no other ball but the e6. I shot my first -6 round once I switched to this ball. My game has improved Dramatically thanks to Bridgestone. Yum.
  20. Store them indoors at all times! I live in wisconsin and wouldn't DARE leave them outside on a cold winter night ... i'd let it slide on a summer night or two but that's about it
  21. lol well my tolerance is a bit high from the start .. i've also been taking them for breakthrough pain for about 2 years now .. they basically have the same effect like taking a bunch of ibuprofen. i like your sig.
  22. I always had problems hitting the fairway off the tee. Got the Cobra S2 and I now have problems Not hitting the fairway. Being able to hit my second shot from the fairway every hole has improved my game a TON. Try the Cobra.
  23. Be careful here .. switching to new drivers, wedge and putter is different than switching from a game improvement iron to a players iron. Players irons are no joke and you'll most likely lose quite a few strokes by switching to a players iron. You need to be an amazing ball striker to hit players irons consistently well and we all know to be a good golfer, you need consistency. I would suggest making the transition by going slow. first, find the players set you want to ultimately switch to ... then purchase them by the club .. maybe add your PW-8 or 7 first .. once you get those down, add some longer clubs. Hitting long players club irons is tough. You gotta be good. Real good. ... however with hard work, switching to a players iron will ultimately make you a better player IF you work hard with them. if you dont practice and just go out and play and expect to shoot better with a players iron, you'll be disappointed and go right back to your old irons.
  24. you definitely gotta go get fitted and try a bunch of clubs. i'm hitting the new cobra s2 this year and it's by far the best club i have ever hit. it took me weeks to find this driver. i would go to golf galaxy on lunch breaks every other day or so and keep hitting drivers until i narrowed it down to 3, then 2 then 1. take your time and make sure it's right for you. by finding my right driver, i went from averaging 250 off the tee and rarely hitting the fairway to 270 off the tee and rarely missing the fairway. when i hit the ball on the screws i'm hitting 285 and i caught one at 300 two weeks ago. find what's best for you and you'll be the happiest golfer in the world. try the new cobra s2 .. it worked for me. it's the longest club in the bag which makes it the hardest to hit .. and i'm most confident with it.
  25. I'm 27 with back problems. Motorcycle accident in 04'. Mild arthritis from it. I'm also in great shape. I'm in the gym 4 or 5 days week. 6'2", 195 tone. I keep some Vicodin in my golf bag and days when the back gets bad, i pop one or two. helps my golf game quite a bit actually. I work on golf stretches while i'm in the gym. My favorite are taking heavy medicine balls or pull weights and mocking a golf swing with it. Since I've been doing that, I've gained 10 yards on my drive and feel less pain as well feel like my foundation is much stronger. Give it a go. Don't just do any ol' normal gym stretches .. some will actually be worse for your back and swing than you would think ... do some research online. There are some good resources. If you are doing cardio work in the gym, DON'T run. Walk up steep inclines or use the elliptical or bikes. Also, try and stay away from any heavy lifting that uses your back. Focus on working muscles that tone up your core and upper legs ... that's where your swing power comes from anyway.
