I picked up a Swing Caddie sc200 a couple of weeks ago, and was wondering if anyone has used one with a practice net. The manual has an illustration that looks like it is being used with a net. But when I contacted support I was told it is designed to be used on the range only.

I could never hit my 4i & 5i with any consistency, so I tried a 4h, which I ended up hitting worse. Until I got a lesson from my pro on how to correctly hit a hybrid. Now I carry a 3h, 4h & 5h which I hit with much more consistent, and with much much more confidence..

Is there a Rules of Golf for Dummies book? I would like to carry a rules book with me when I play, but frankly I think we would spend more time trying to find and interpret a rule than actually playing. I just play for the fun of it with the same group of friends, but we do have rules questions from time to time.

This is what I was thinking about concerning pace of play. If playing from a tee that makes the hole a "long" par 3 or 4 for a player. The player might, and probably will, swing harder than normal to try and get the ball either on the green (par 3) or far enough (par 4) to have the second shot within range make the green. Sending the drive into the woods, heavy rough or out of bounds..

I agree, but am also thinking about pace of play. When the course is fairly crowded we find ourselves letting groups behind us play through.

This could be a very easy question, or could open a can of worms. How does one choose what is the correct tee to play from? My buddies and I always play from the white tees (usually around 70/123 rating) and shoot between 97-115.

I found a reasonably priced G400 5H. Took it to the range for the first time a couple of days ago and was somewhat perplexed as to how well I hit it. Long and straight. I will hit the range again tomorrow morning and see if I really hit it better, or if the first time was a fluke. I did notice that my best results were when I took a very relaxed swing at around 80%. But I guess this is what I should be doing all the time, with every club.

I hit my 4i & 5i 50% good 50% bad. Hybrids probably between 60/40 - 75/25.

I have had a Ping G 4H for quite some time, but didn't keep it in my bag because I couldn't hit it. About a month ago I had my pro do our whole lesson on hitting a hybrid. Since then I have been hitting a majority of my shots with it long and straight. (And with much more confidence) So well that I bought a Ping G400 3H, with which I have had similar results. My question is, should I purchase a 5H and take the 4i & 5i out of my bag?

Next time I make the cut at a major I will be able to buy a few.😎

Definitely going to try out some UV sleeves. Any recommendations on brand, quality, sizes, etc.

Looking for an alternative to greasy sun block. Anyone using UV arm sleeves, and if so any brand recommendations?

I have been playing the Get Sum for over a year and really like it. But after taking some lessons, and getting professionally fit for a new driver I feel that maybe I need to 'move up". My swing speed has gone from low 90's to around 100+, and I went from a Ping G400 SFT 12* to a G400 Max 9*. I like a softer feel ball and the MTB Red to me felt like hitting a rock. Has anyone played the MTB Red & Get Sum?

I had no idea which forum to post this in. We are having a discussion/argument about hitting from the different levels at Top Golf. Are the distances to the targets the same from all three levels, or do "Plays Like" distances come into play.

I used the Zepp 2 and found it good and liked it, However, now I am using the Blast Motion sensor and really like it more than the Zepp. Very affordable, and super easy to use. https://blastmotion.com/ This isn't saying that the Zepp is bad, just for my personal use I like the Blast better.

I was thinking the same thing about the lessons having made my swing better, thus making the SFT more of a detriment than help. That is why I put the post out there for some expert opinions. I have a lesson this Friday and will ask my pro what he thinks. If he agrees I will go to MK Golf Technologies for a fitting. And a plug for my pro, David Ogrin. He will be on the Morning Drive this Wednesday.

A few years ago I had a really bad slice, so bought a Ping G SFT. I hit it better but still struggled with slicing the ball. Last year I upgraded to a G400 SFT 12 * which I really like. Over the last few months I have had 10 lessons that have improved my tempo to 2.8:1 and increased my swing speed from low to mid 90's to around 102. I still have occasional slices, but find a lot going right. Wondering if the increase in swing speed coupled with the SFT is causing the hook.

Thanks for the quick reply. During my lesson he used it to help me work on tempo with my driver. Which is how l want to use it between sessions with my pro. During the lesson l went from 90 swing speed to 99.9 by working on tempo.

Does anyone use (or have used) the Blast swing analyser? My pro used one at my last lesson. It looked pretty neat, and the price is reasonable.
