I'm sure he knew what he was talking about, I just think that the term "worst ball" is not well defined, and someone made a mistake in reporting the wrong definition. It could have been the person who told Rosaforte about the round.

I'm making a guess party because of the score, since shooting 66 in what Roseforte described as "worst ball" would be next to impossible. I think his explanation of worst ball was wrong. In a two man best ball, each player plays their own ball and they mark the best score on each hole. In a two man scramble, each player hits a tee shot and they pick the best shot, then both shoot from there and so forth. What Roseforte was describing was like a 1 man worst shot scramble. I think Rosaforte was misinformed or he misinterpreted what was told to him. I think Woods played two balls separately and marked down the worst score out of the two balls. Still impressive, but it's not nearly the same as what Rosaforte described it as. Worst ball 66 sounds pretty impossible.

I voted no. Augusta won't exactly help out with his confidence if he's chipping like a 22 handicapper. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he didn't play until the Open at St. Andrews.

Courses are opening mid April here. There's still a lot of snow on the ground despite about a week above freezing temperatures.

I don't think he'll play at Augusta. I think his first tournament back will be the Open Championship at St. Andrews.
