The rude service sounds pretty rubbish. Absolutely no need to be rude back though, otherwise you become just as bad. Its like your golf game, forget whats happened and concentrate on the now. If the place has the best prices, unless somewhere else gives service to justify a higher price, I wouldn't "cut off my nose to spite my face". The other thing I would consider is if the store gets lots of time wasters who fit a certain image, you can understand why they would get fed up, even if you are not a time waster. Once you show you are serious they might change. Finally as mentioned previously, often the owner or manager will give better service because they care. The paid minions just want to turn up, do their hours and get a check. So try and get the right person to help you.

Good luck trying to get me extradited, so you can file against me. But seriously, back to my question, what is there to sue about?
-
Maybe it's because I'm from the wrong country, but what is there to sue about? All you would be dealing with is pure fact. If the journo went to the course, and played with a stopwatch, what have they done wrong? If they timed other groups, perhaps they could get in trouble, but if they asked permission first, I don't see how. Actually a magazine over here did an article on pace of play, but I think it was about what speeds it up. They had 1 course with different groups and a control group. Can't remember what they were doing to improve speed between groups though.

True, but the question did state par 3.

In theory it could also happen in match play. If the player played from the wrong tee or out of order, the opponent could make them replay the shot.

Packing for golf trip to Scotland

Is this based on experience? Its not anything I have heard of before! -
Mr Norman has always been a shrewd man!

I understand Couples point, but like I said in my original post if Daly didn't want to sign autographs that would have not been great, but far better than the contempt and disrespect he showed by making a half assed effort.

I can't figure out if this says a lot about HD or marketing. I have an HD TV but really it doesn't upset me if a program isn't in HD.
-
I tried watching the BMW on my HD TV and the picture just was not good enough, so I got up and actually went to the course!

Even now its probably not worth much less than at the peak of a couple of years ago, as area slike this in the South East have mostly bucked the trend due to desirability. It would have to be worth a few million £ these days! It surprised me too, I thought that fans were important to Daly and he respected them more than many other aspects of life and golf. It wasn't a good day for him, but far from some of his worst efforts shooting in the 80s! He shot 75 to come T72nd out of 79 golfers who made the cut. It wasn't like he was in contention and blew it or anything, he was already way out of the running.
-
Is having a matching bag that important to you? I really would try to be more open minded about that. Personally I'd rather have what works than what looks pretty together.
-
Its definitely true, its not something I read, saw on TV or was told. I saw it with my own eyes. I was about 6' from Daly when he did it. Is your friend female and single?
-
I would have to say it really depends what you want to practice. If you are having trouble with ball striking or want to groove a swing change etc, the range and repetition are your friends. If you want to practice strategy, different lies, recovery, short game, mental aspects etc then the course and replication are your friend. Only you or your friend know your own weaknesses and what needs work, so generally only you can decide.

I used to try and defend John Daly as he often seemed to be given a hard time by many people. However after seeing his behavior at Wentworth this weekend, I have far less sympathy for him. For all his bad points I always believed he was good to his fans. At the autograph area of the BMW PGA all the golfers who had finished signed programs for kids, and in many cases gave caps, gloves and golf balls etc. As it got to Dalys turn to approach the number of kids grew massively. When Daly came through, he took the first program held out for him to sign, kept his head down the whole time, kept walking and signed the program. By now he was at least 5 paces away from the kid whose program he had taken, without looking he just tossed the program over his shoulder into the crowd, nowhere near the kid who had given it to him. What ensued was a big scramble and plenty of damage to a program that was originally in good condition. This was repeated for 3 or 4 programs, until he had got to the exit point and made his getaway. Fair enough he may have had a bad day, but to treat other peoples property like this is just plain wrong. To do it to kids is even worse. If he had decided to sign nothing, fair enough. If he had signed properly, great. What he did was neither. It was pretty lousy and seemed to show massive contempt to all his supporters.

How long to play after grip change?
Surefire replied to danieldsuh's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
If you really want to play it safe, why not play one more round on your old grips and get them changed afterwards? -
got $150. what should i get?
Surefire replied to sasquatcho69's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Nothing. Is the money burning a hole in your pocket? Just keep it untill you need something. -
You can get an adaptor ferrule. If you haven't found one by then, I will post a link later.

Moving target indeed!

He hits the fairway 56.79% of the time with his driver, I know he is good, but does he really hit the fairway 113.58% of the time with his 3 wood?

In my opinion thats a pretty amusing joke.

But in other peoples they can.
