  1. I drive a Jeep commander right now. I got it beefed up quite a bit, but even before all the work it was a nice turck. Do the new wranglers stiil use the strait 6? I don't even know. I had 2 I6 jeeps in the past, and you just can't kill them. The I6 engine will always make funny noises and make you think something is wrong, but no matter what I did to those two Jeeps, they just kept running. Good luck.
  2. Anytime bro. And yeah, always do a search on the regular site when you want a great review, its helped me with alot of my equipment choices.
  3. Hi, The Titleist woods have really impressed me, and I think mine is in the bag to stay, and if you already like the driver, the 3 wood will prolly make you happy, too. As far as what degree it depends on what you want to use it for. I can hit my 13 degree just fine from the fairway, but it is going to be harder to get up in the air than the 15 degree, so be sure to make hitting it off the deck your first priority. Where the 13 degree shines is off the tee. If you use your 3 wood on tight driving holes, or play a tighter course from time to time, I would recommend the 13 degree, but make sure you can hit it off the deck, too. The 909 woods are awesome. Are you sold on the 909f2? or would you consider the 909f3... I found the f3 to be less workable, but alot more consistent for me, so I'd at least check one out. Again, it depends what you want. A little longer and more workable= F2, and more consistent with a boring ballflight= F3.... I chose the F3 with 13 degrees of loft. Here is a review of both the 909 f2 and f3 woods, and here is a review of the 909 hybrids, both from the main site, and by a guy who knows alot about this kind of thing. Hope this helps. --Joel-- And welcome to the sand trap, btw. :)
  4. I'm just over a 5, and the driver is moody for me, too. The more I learn about this game, the less I'm concerned with driver distance. Hitting a 7 iron to a consistent distance is far more important. I think 250-260 down the middle every time is better than 5 at 280 and one ob.
  5. The last 3 rounds or so I've left my driver home on time out. I hit my 13 degree 3+ wood about 30 yards short of my driver, but I'm hitting 90 percent of the fairways, compared to 50-60 percent with the driver. Playing my best golf all year.
  6. She's leaving him, I heard. What good to her is a man who can't ever win anything or sink an easy putt? She is a good woman for hanging on as long as she did....
  7. You guys see his new commercial? lol Theres one with some funny outakes, too.
  8. I'm not sure that I would call 215$ for buy it now a good deal, considering new ones are right around 300$ in a store, and less on the bay. If you could win it in auction style you might do ok, but, as of now, there are two days left and already bids on it.... so who knows... If you are looking for a used gamer you can find a scotty on ebay for less than 150 pretty easily, just pick your price cap on the side option bar when you do a search..
  9. I tried out the tigershark. It was the first + size grip I've ever tried on a putter. It did quiet my hands a little bit, but the bigger size and softness really hurt distance control and feel for me. I switched to a Lamkin deep etched paddle after 3 rounds and some practice sessions, and I really like it.
  10. lmao #12-- playing a new course without written consent from your home course will result in severe penalty, including possible shaft damage. #13-- pace of play is to be determined by the course owner, not the group in front of you.
  11. I agree. I'm 6'4" and play a 35 inch putter, but I choke down on it quite a bit. Another thing to consider is that changing the length will change the swing weight, so your clubfitter would have to adjust this also. I would recommend getting fit, like Dub suggested. Good luck,
  12. I'll be interested to see those pics, it looks like she deserves the full spa treatment.
  13. I always looked at a 6 as being a mid level handicapp, not "low". Maybe its just me...
  14. I get my loft and lies looked at every 30-40 rounds. Forged clubs will move around a little over time and through use. Even with cast clubs this can happen. Its not a bad idea to get them checked, and adjusted as your swing characteristics change.
  15. I'd say Honma , too. Another so called "boutique manufacturer" I suppose, but when is the last time your playing partner pulled out an anser style Honma? and would you show it some love??
  16. I played them for a few rounds. By far the softest feel of any ball I've tried. Dollar for dollar I think they are a great deal.
  17. Scratch, Miura, and Chikara.... With the name brands here in America, I agree with Enis and laxbballgolf and say Bridgestone.
  18. An aiming stick. A shaft pulled from an old driver works well. Before each round I put it down on the range before I hit my shots. If my shots are going off line I now know its not in my aiming, its something I'm doing in my swing, and I can correct it without second guessing if its my aim or a slight block or whatever.
  19. Slow greens are ok, as long as all the greens on the course are consistent. When they switch it up from green to green, or worse yet, when its a different speed on one side of the same green , is when its time to play elsewhere. Cherry Hills, a course near me, is like that. I never can play my handicap at this course, and the only reason is the horrible greens.
  20. You can clean your grips with rubbing alcohol and maybe freshen up your cords with a little light sanding with some fine grit sandpaper. The gloves are pretty much wrecked. You can make them last longer if you buy 2 or 3 of them at a time and switch them out every 3-4 holes. Also, take them off in between shots when your just walking. This will keep them from getting soaked with sweat and drying out premature. There are a few threads on this subject if you wanted to do a quick search. Hope this helps.
  21. I love my Ogio Grom.... never had one issue or problem in almost two seasons with it. I also like the plaid... very Celtic.
  22. Then I would go with a shorter shaft... but most likely its in your swing. On the bright side, a hook is usually easier to fix than a slice...
  23. The Burners shaft is long, but it is also very light.... my 09 is only 49 grams.... Which means you can pretty much swing your socks off and not still not hit a slice. So if slicin' is your problem...
  24. No, they won't have to switch out any shafts.
  25. Getting loft and lie adjustments should run from 30$-50$. Your putter will be another 10$-15$. If they do a "dynamic" fitting, where the pro will go through each club in your set and tweak each one as you go they may tack on a lesson fee, so ask about this before they start, but they ussually won't.
