  1. Oh yeah, totally agree. Tiger was a really small guy, but he worked out a ton and became big. Johnson was just naturally big. Same with Woodland, but I wouldn't say he's stronger than Tiger. Tiger can bench over 300 pounds.. some even said he can go up to 450.
  2. Everyone was a high HC at one point. Yes Lol no, I turn 7 next month.
  3. Is that your mom in your avatar @BuckeyeNut
  4. Probably because the 8-iron is made to be the best club in the bag. At least.. from what I hear.
  5. Yeah.. she's probably going to be the step-mom.. I think Tiger is really regretful for what he did and only wants the best for his kids.. Lindsey seems nice, too. IDK though. I just typed in "Tiger Woods 2006" and clicked the image most relevant to the other images. If you still look, he's way smaller in 2006 and 2007 than he was from 2008 to 2011.. you gott admit, it's just not physically possible to get that big in a year.. even in a couple years.
  6. I'mma go all out here.. You do realize the picture OP provided is a picture taken in 2013, correct? Most people I've met that believe Tiger Woods doped took it from his years in 2009. Why? Well we look at the break up from his cheating game, which many have credited to a thing called "roid rage". Was it actually roid rage, possibly. What would provoke the great Tiger Woods to cheat on his wife? Sure, he's got social problems and is really intense, but he worked all his life to get where he is. He's a smart guy and wouldn't do it on his own. Here is a picture of Woods at the 2009 Ryder Cup Look at those guns! Sure, he could have hit the gym and bulked up. I wouldn't put it past a guy like Tiger to push himself to the limit, but bulking up that much, that fast? Take a look at Tiger in 2008. I tried to find an image that was in proportion with the one in 2009. Here we see Tiger still has a lot of muscle, I mean, look at that bicep! But he's nothing close to the '09 Ryder Cup picture. But than again, he could have bulked up. However, the proof is in 2007. Being a baseball writer it's not an unusual thing to investigate a steroid scandal, and we usually see the same thing. Although the player admits to doping a year before their stats boosted through the roofs, they started gaining large amount of muscle 2-3 years before we could actually see a massive change. For Tiger, you can see the same exact thing. Look below. Look at that! Is it really possible to go from the state he is in from that picture, to like he was in 2007 without the roids? Anybody who works out, may it be with your own or with a trainer, knows it takes just 6 months to show effect of some noticeable muscle. There's no physical way a guy like the '06 Tiger can go become the '08 Tiger on his own. Rewind one more year, in 2006. Take a final look at Tigers stature. What do you see? Deflated shoulders, man boobs, fat arms, and a little tummy going there. That's a MASSIVE jump to a buff ripped guy we see in 2008 and even 2007. Sure, Tiger probably looked at himself in the mirror one day and said "What the hell have I become" and went to work out. However, influences from buddies like Michael Jordan without a doubt suggested doping a little bit. "Man, it'll make it so much easier!" I'm not saying it's a 100 percent given, but it's pretty damn obvious he doped. He tore his knee up from the crap, and changed his entire body in less than a year. I'm sorry, it's just no possible. We can say for sure he's not doping anymore because just compare the pictures! He looks like a regular, buff golfer. In '08, and even to 2011 and possibly 2012, he couldn't play for crap. Well, he could, afterall he's Tiger Woods, but nothing like he used to. Old age? Maybe. But steroids surely played a part in the knee injury, and everything we saw.
  7. Dayum! I've been hit into, but never hit.. on a one hop too! Sheeit. Awesome story dude.
  8. 3-woods are so big and lethargic to do a pitch and run.. but so many people use them. I've used my hybrid for a cut-draw around a tree, but it still got off the ground about 10 feet. It just seems like a 5 iron, or lower irons, will pinch the ball and keep it low.
  9. I really really love this shot, but I will always use my 5 iron and toe it in. It's a really fun shot, the best is putting a little hook on it.. really cool. Takes practice though, but can help you out of multiple jams
  10. Well I did play from four years old to nine, and haven't played in 5 years.. but I guess you could say I'm wired for the game.
  11. I used to have this problem, until I got more focused. What I mean is, if I make a birdie, I don't think "Yay, birdie". Instantly you should start thinking about the next hole... some pros say they don't even keep score, while we all know that's impossible, that's the attitude you should. I think we're all guilty of going "Okay, if I can get another birdie and then a couple more pars and one bogey I'll have a 78" or something like that ... but you shouldn't. My game really took off when I was able to move on from a birdie or bogey, just by thinking about the next hole's strategy.
  12. I've never commented on people shots, but people have mine and I think it's fine whether it was a good or bad shot. If it's "irritating" you should practice more, not get mad at the guy who just is trying to be friendly.
  13. I never understood this. I had people say "great shot!" or "that's all over it" right as the ball took off, only to have the ball land in the bunker or lake. I realize they were just trying to be friendly, hell I would have even said the same thing if I thought it took off good. People seem to overreact (online at least) about misinterpreting the shot. I don't think I've ever met somebody say nice shot while the ball was flying and they didn't mean it. If they don't mean it, they're likely to say it after it lands.. y'know, to rub it in your face. But after contact it's all in good spirit.
  14. I think he will easily win at least one this season. He's been getting in much better shape and playing way better golf. I might even say 2... but that'd be a stretch.
  15. So at my course, since it's in the hills, it's really easy to cut over from the third hole to the 7th hole. Everyone, including myself, does it all the time. I wanted to get my loop in for the day, which consists of 1-3 holes, cut over to the 7th, and from there go to 7-8th, and cut over to the 15th and play in. Anyway, I did my regular setup after paring the third, and headed over to the 7th. Like always, I checked the 6th hole's tee box to make sure nobody was teeing off so I wouldn't directly cut in front of anybody. However, there was somebody putting on the 5th, but I didn't think too much of it as I play at a good pace and thought I could tee off by the time he did on the 7th. When I reach the 7th tee box, I set up my ball and get ready to tee off ... only to find two weekenders in front of me. Granted, I have nothing wrong with these guys and I wasn't mad at them or anything, but I was left on the tee box for about 5 minutes while they shanked it right. Nothing to be ashamed of, just keep it in mind. So I was sitting on the tee box for a good five minutes, and up rolls the guy I just saw on the green of the two holes behind me. I'm just standing there, trying to visualize my next drive while he just stares at me for a good 30 seconds. I mean, dayum, the dude had a great stare. Although he had sunglasses, I felt like his burning eyes gapped through his tinted lenses and grabbed something deep inside of me, pulling out my very soul while he munched on the only thing.. Anyway, I, making sure I am very polite not wanting to dirty my name around the course say, "How are you doing?", y'know, something you would say to a fellow golfer. I was expecting a "Ah, great day huh?" or something like that, but nah, the guy continues to stare at me.. not saying a word. Finally, I say "What?" and he just continues to stare. Looking behind me, a little mockery, but it was more making something out of the super awkward glare he was giving me. Then, he got out of his cart and started heading my way. Damn, son, he was charging like a horse and I was his carrot. Getting all up in my face, pointing is finger (bending it just like Bill Clinton did to feel like Reagan) he spat in my face: "Did you just cut in front of me?" "Oh, uh, yeah but I didn't mean to slow your game down. I usually just cut over from this hole when the sun's going down to get in my loop." "Didn't you see me behind you? I saw you cutting in front of me!" "I actually didn't. I saw you on the green of the 5th, but I didn't know these guys were in front of me. I'm sorry, you can take the tee box if you want, there's no problem." I was actually talking like that. I was trying to remain as respectful as possible because I didn't want word flying around "That kid's a jerk!". I thought I handled it well, I continued to offer him the tee-box, apologize and let him know I didn't know he was that close to me, etc. For another 3 minutes or so he ranted about how it's "Just not right" and blah blah blah. I told him if I knew he was behind me I wouldn't have cut and let him through, after all everyone cuts over like I did. It's not like I'm breaking any rules. I stepped back and offered him the tee box a final time, and he gave me one more glare before turning around to walk back to his cart. I thought he was grabbing his driver (maybe a 9-iron, don't want to mess with the trees?), but he just sat there. Presumably, I teed off. It was a great tee shot, and it was right in front of him... I thought it was good intimidation practice. Some of my friends think the guy is loco in the toco and just felt miserable that day. Another felt like he wanted to get in my head. Idk what he wanted, dude was tripping. Anyway, what do you think? I just felt like writing this because I'm taking a break from studying. Also, share your crazy golf stories! I'd love to hear any.
  16. There's nothing better than playing with, or being, a scratch golfer. You can learn a lot from playing with him, and you should always take up the chance to play with other people.
  17. Yeah, dude, congrats. My first tournament was in Redwood and I won it with like an high 80's.. when I was asked how long I've been playing and responded "a couple weeks" i got some weird looks. Hahahaha. But they sucked down there, the real competition is down here.
  18. Going on my 14th year as a pimp.
  19. I think it's 10.5 but I'm not sure.. Without a doubt, my driver.. however, I'm getting much better.
  20. 30 minutes to eat, adapt to the course 20+ minutes to stretch 30+ minutes to warm up irons 30+ minutes to chip 30+ minutes to putt After all, you're left with over an extra hour to relax, practice some putting drills, chip etc. There's no rush.. about 30 minutes before my tee time I like to hit on the range again until I'm sweating.. just like Tiger does it. If he has a tee time at 11am, he's there at 6am. Just saying..
  21. 2 hours is nothing close to overkill. You need a good amount of time to get warmed up on the range, practice some chipping and putting. 2 hours may not even be enough.. for my tournaments I try to get there four hours before to warm up my entire game.
  22. Probably because we've redesigned the website so when authors used the quotation tool last year, it didn't show this year etc. Anyway, it was awarded when I was the only writer.. now there are other writers and I don't have time to write anymore.. so that could be a reason. Day 10 My dad and I worked on my driver swing a great deal today, and also my grip. A couple people hear commented on my "strong" grip, and my dad noticed it as well, although it took a lot of work I've established a much better grip.. something you would see out of a pro. It helped my game a lot, as I shot a +3 through 9 holes, and the only over par shots I put up were on the first and second, two blow up holes. (First: double bogey, second: bogey). But from there on out, I went on an awesome par streak. The grip has helped my swing be 10x more consitent, and I didn't hit on slice with the irons today. However, I will continue to work on my driver as I want it to be practically every time I hit it it's a nice drive down the center.
  23. This is a journal, not a professional article. If you think I can't write, you should really check out my website (rated third in the nation cough cough) and other professional websites I've written for. I would give you links but don't want to release my full name.. also, I have the highest grade in my english Honors class at a 96 percent.
