  1. I think 4.5 to 5 hours is a pretty normal pace of play for busy courses like my home course who averages 220-250 players on weekends. Also they paid their money as well.. They have just as much of a right to the course as you.
  2. I just looked for a super forgiving 3 wood (g25) put a aldila x stiff shaft in it. Now half the time I never pull out my driver at my home course because I've been hitting it 265 and straight off the tee. Most of our par 4s are not that long for me. most between 300-410 yards and one thats like 440.
  3. I had a buddy fall in a lake trying to play a ball once.
  4. Just because you aren't as good it doesn't really matter. Most golfers only care about their own scores.
  5. Everyone does that. For me I can play the best round of my life and look back and say.. Oh well I should of shot this.
  6. I played in a tournament a couple weeks ago. #1 - Birdie #2 - Birdie #3 - Double #4 - Double #5 - Double #6 - Par #7 - Par #8 - Par #9 - Par For a 39... Par 35 Then I shot 45 on the back...
  7. Our club kicked 2 guys out last year and chopped a bunch of guys handicaps in half. If you're a high handicapper it's possible to have a record round and shoot like net 66 or so, but if you are going lower than that you're cheating the system. I remember in a tournament we had a 20 shoot a 77 in a tourny immediately after his longtime playing partner came in and told us he is cheating. They haven't played together since.
  8. Use to lift weights pretty heavy. Could get 245 for bench for 5, but gave it up because it was effecting my golf swing to much. Resorted to more core workouts/cardio.
  9. My next goal is to break 70 and do it in a tournament. Get Hdcap under 3 this year.
  10. Next year will resurrect Golf. A young superstar in Speith that is up and coming and a healthy Tiger.
  11. Hit the X100's today. Man those things are butter! Great ball flight and was extremely consistent with them.
  12. My Swing speed is 118 with a driver? DG Or Project X? Also which ones would appropiately fit me? Like DG s400 or PX 6.5 ext.
  13. I like to play a 52 with weight on my front foot and forward in my stance and give it like 60%. I never use full swing GW, SW, or LW Always felt clubbing down a 1/2 to 3/4 swing will always be more accurate than a full swing shot. For me at least.
  14. Scratch golfer is someone with a 0 hdcap or better.
  15. Was a college student going to school for graphic design. Then I started playing golf 2 and a half years ago. Got hooked to every aspect of the game. Not just playing I love the customer service/operations side. I like the watch the course grow and love to make people happy and what better way to do that than a beautiful golf course. The goal is to work hard on my game and take my PAT in September and begin the PGA program. My dad is the owner of 2 courses currently and I hope to take in what he has to teach and follow down his footsteps.
  16. None :( Been playing 2 and a half years down to a 8 hdcap. My closest was actually about 2 months ago was playing in a tournament it was 167 to the flag using an 8 iron. They just happened to have a 10,000 dollar hole in one challenge that day. Right to left wind pretty strong I hit my iron it lands about 10 feet left of the hole rolls all the way to the pin hits off the pin and rests at one foot seven inches. The good news though is I took home 200 bucks for the KP and a 600 dollar skin on that day.
  17. I love the 3 wood, but I need a good shaft with low spin and low launch.
  18. 77 on a par 71.. 3 birdies 3 doubles 3 bogeys
  19. #1 Course condition #2 Score #3 Pace #4 Value # Pin Placements The rest is kind of a wash. I mean it's nice if the staff is friendly, but if they aren't it's kind of an in and out thing.
