  1. I have this club, i have the draw, but recently it's on neutral. See, what i did was i got some lead tape and tahdah! I average 270 off the tee with this club, its solid but I tend to baloon some shots 250. This is a very straight driver and very good feeling sounding club. I use the r7 425 for show, and it goes farther.
  2. i think it should feel like your shoulders and the triceps should move the first foot to a parallel to the ground position.
  3. i love the proII's, use 2 have them until i broke them, they scar real easily, very weak clubs, but this has club has one of the best feels to it.
  4. Stop arguing in my thread, start a new thread. If your budget is around 5 hundred dollars for irons, get a "not rusting" set of mp 30's from mizuno, regular flex. That is about 200 dollars. Then get 4 lessons from golf galaxy to establish some fundamentals. now you have about 150 dollars left, then get shafts from true temper of rifle and get them installed,(the golf galaxy pro will tell u all bout wut 2 get). If you have about 700 dollars, then your real lucky. Get a set of mx 23's, used. Get some lessons, and then get custom shafts. If you have only about 200 dollars, then just get some wilson staff irions from 2005, they're solid equipment. Hint: Mp30's will require some lessons, MX 23's will require some lessons, but is easier to hit. The wilsons are solid clubs and very easy to hit, also powerbuilt, tommy armour, and kasco make some decent clubs for low prices. HINT2: DON'T get blades unless ur ben hogan and u cant find semiblades. One more thing, I would put a hundred dollars down that ben hogan or bobby jones would use forged cavity backs over blades anyday. Besides tigerwoods and a few others, everyone will get an advantage using cavities.(TigerWoods is amazing, I bet he hits his blades better than the slingshots, lol, jk)
  5. I use a toothbrush, oxi clean(best chemical cleaner, meant for laundry), a tee(on the golf course), for my wedges i use the blade for painting, and home use, etc, its like a flat blade but only the edges are sharp, looks like a square blade. Also I use my saliva once in a while, lol. I use a microfiber towel to clean dirt out fast. Other good cleaners is that machine that you stick your club into, i use that at my local course, real nice.
  6. my golf coach had these irons, so i tried them out, i think they're good clubs but not great. The feeling is good but not great. This distance is the best part, I hit these farther than my 690's. The workability is harder than my 690's. The trajectory is perfect for me, not to high but not to low. The looks, decent. I don't like the weight. The shape of the clubhead dosen't fit my eye. The thin topline is sexy. The feel pockets are bs. I give these 3.5 / 5 stars. The only irons ive been able to give 5/5 stars are the mizuno mp 14's and the mp 37's. I think sergio has been going back and forth with these and the tp cb. Personally, Ive seen him use the tp cb more so I think there is no reason someone should get the mb. The cavities have worst feeling and distance, but everything else is better. Personally the cb's are like a 4.1/5. Mizuno makes the best blades. Nike ones are nice 2, I give them a 4.8 / 5. These are highquality clubs but I know better. Thanks for letting me share my ops.
  7. The old nike platinums are one of the most scientifically sound balls and very cheap. 30 buks and a lot better than the prov1, i think. Distance Control is superb, the urethene cover is very durable, the most durable ive used in premium balls, its also the farthest, and straigtest thanks to low compression. Check the charts, this balls is sound.
  8. You should keep your driver because the distance is fine off the r7. If y ou want more distance why don't you try to swing more lose and take a 4 inches back so your arms are hanging out a little more, this causes a draw and a consistent shot. Also, if your an agressive player, you should try to stand a little taller, and try to keep the left arm straight during the downswing so you can release. I think the most important part with the driver is the grip. You should have a solid grip more than a solid driver.
  9. Hey, has anyone seen this club, its huge. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/pr...2058&cp;=714659 Its 460 cc of pure power. I'm not sure if this is a fake or not but they sell it at dick's. It's got two weight ports and the cg is suppose to be lower than the original r5. The clubface is deeper for a higher launch angle and lower spin rate.
  10. one thing about lessons - you have to know what you want out of the lesson and you have to be goal oriented. also to help you lessons, i reccomend you purchase the book "swing like the pros", this book takes a unbiased and scientific approach to the game, one of the most solid books period. Also you should try to get a copy of "tour tempo", this book will build you a solid tempo and help you with your mechanics, trust me, with these 2 books and lessons, your handicap will drop like 10 strokes atleast. One more thing, if you can get the books before the lessons that would be better but its going to be very helpful even if you don't. Also if you do buy the books early, and you think the books will help you enough, don't elminate the thought of lessons because when your instructor/coach helps and teaches you, you will have to be on the same page as he is and if you can improve the game a lot if only the books, the combination will help you even more, i really reccomend it.
  11. I think tiger is better because 1) His swing is more consistent and mechanically correct 2) Tiger has a better short game and imagination
  12. Yep, and the 690.cbs also,
  13. Why would you want a blade if: 1) the cavities are forged, and have the same aesthetics: samd look, weight, feel, 2) the cavities are more forgiving 3) they do everything a blade can do with room for error Best of Both Worlds? No Brainer??? Answer PLZ
  14. I wasn't alive at jack's prime so I go with tiger being the greatest golfer, also tiger can rip it further, has a better short game, and he's a built athlete, what else is their to say?
  15. be confident and try to hit the ball hard, be agressive, then see how it goes.
  16. make a bigger stance, make sure you have a strong grip and keep left elbow straight on down swing for early release.
  17. I use more body rotation and try to keep my body a little more tighter, that takes away all the chili dips, hit with your body.
  18. I pay 31.99$ plus a 40% discount at golf galaxy for the 05 nike platinums. They're real nice. I think they spin better, more druable, whiter, longer, and easier to control then the prov1. They say you have better control because it is designed for shots with "variable loads", like I said, distance control is amazing.
  19. Go g5, ping is such an easy driver to hit, but it dosen't go that far and it goes really high. Hibore, I don't like the look, but performance is great. Reminds me of Jack's Hammer. I like the g5.
  20. shafts for irons determine the feel. Go with nippons stiff if you think the regulars are to whippy. Also the r7 425 is a good club but have you ever hit the r5 draw. You can whack it as hard as you want and you get a consistent number with low spin and high launch. Samething with the nike sasquatch. Another good one is the king cobras(wierd sound though). If your going to get a good driver, just get a last year model head and a shaft that "fits" u.
  21. If you want a player's 3 wood, get a titleist, if you want a consistent but techy and $$$ 3 wood, get a sonartec, if you want an easy 3 wood with a unique feel, get a callaway. If you want to hit your 3 wood like your driver then get a cleveland.
  22. I tried the titleist, they don't feel to good. But the cg4 seem to wear a little quicker. I think personally the cg4 goes farther and is more consistent but the titleist has better aesthetics. Keep the cg4
  23. I hit about 105 avg with my 56* and about 85 with my 60* so there is a humongous gap of 30 yards. I think I spend about 50 percent of my time at the range and course on the short game any where between 5 to 90 yards with my wedges. I think time is the most important thing.
  24. no, hes not tiger, but he is good, but not tiger. He only does well when he is in the fairway, anyone notice that, tiger woods does well in the rough and in the fairway compared to phil. philly aint tiger woods.
  25. have you ever heard of the book "tour tempo", that should fix your casting problem in about 15 minutes at most. Its real nice, just pop in the cd and watch the first 2 videos about 3 minutes.
