  1. Had my first time putting for a eagle last round, too bad i was bout 30-40 feet from the pin lol and a major 2 ft long down slope between me and the pin, but i had a amazing putt and put it 4 ft to the pin and drained it for birdie!
  2. Ill judge this for a small fee... or club
  3. If they feel right to you, chances are your gunna like when you hit the course. The tape won't hide a lot of the features that club has to offer for you except of course spin a bit and sound. I give a thumbs to making purchase.
  4. Definately using more bigger muscles, with much more power behind your swing. I've just recently adapted my shoulder power into my swing cuz im adjusting to my new and improved swing.
  5. I'd use my PW in that situation, and align the club bout 3/4 of a inch to an inch behind the ball.
  6. I'd save up over the winter months so when spring hits ill have saved enough for a membership at a course, that way i can play as much as i wish and each month in the golf season i can spend on playing at different courses.
  7. Sounds like a amazing trip think one time there should be a sand trap tourney and see how many show up lol.
  8. Got my Yes! Tracy II putter beginning of last year and just yesterday bought myself a brand new Vokey Spin Milled 54.10... Finally a wedge that will actually work right. My Golfco one is worn to the bone like a flat face basically lol.
  9. $210 after tax for my Yes! Tracy II
  10. Go for the putter bud, it'll make a big difference for your confidence on the green. The feel of a high end putter is way better then a cheapy and it improved my game plenty. Putting can also sometimes be almost have your strokes in a round, very close none the less usually 1/3's for sure.
  11. A slice can be caused by many things.. over bending elbows, using all arms and no waist on a swing, gripping wrong, out to in swing, wrong ball alignment (yours is correct though by what you have told), and having a fast swing speed using a regular shaft. I myself just overcame a big slice but with my new stiff shaft and new driver all together, and a whole new driver swing i've adopted my waist power much more into my swing and have been driving the best i've ever have.
  12. Pretty strong thoughts your sharing which could in turn be deleted as it may be the begginning to arguements on the site which they are preventing is all.
  13. Hard to say as i know basically nothign about your golf game, but my first choice was a putter and it turned out great for me!
  14. A good chance it was just a internet or computer or forum error. Happens all the time.
  15. This is a popular shot when around the green for sure, though i've never heard of the 8I being used for it usually a 7I or PW. Still same thing all in all, and you place the ball just infront of your back foot and close the club face completely and take a putter stroke. This makes the ball bounce over whatever small amount of fringe/rough u have to get over and then roll on the green like a putt.
  16. Ahh golftown, i love the look of the store and they have many great clubs for sale with the average price. Sometimes good deals there, but yes there salesman tend to be pushy on there way and rush the deal all the time. And the worst part of everything is being a teen like myself (16). They always assume your not buying and your just trying out clubs for the hell of it. So my advice for you the next time your there, is tell them your looking to buy. Yes your situation is different and that is a terrible salesmen u must have had.
  17. For a 25 handicapper a 60 can be nice as you see the potenial loft it can get, but i've survived without it for all my golf years and now im starting to see the light on it, the point is im not even getting one yet and all i have is a cheap 58* SW and its hurting me now. So perhaps it may help to have it early, but if your unsure of spending $$$ just gotta know you can make it without.
  18. It was unfortunate to watch him shy away at the final round of the RBC Canadian open, having the leader playing right with him he may have fell under the heat or over confidence, the commentators thought over confident as some of his shots looked rushed into by himself. Thoughts?
  19. Taylormade TMX is by far my favourite stand bag, too bad the pricing is so out there for a gent like myself.
  20. lol well said
  21. Well have to say That was some of the best golf stats i've ever learned
  22. Having your driver not aligned with the ball would make a great difference, do you tend to slice alot?
  23. 87 from the tips at the course me and dent commonly play at. My best score there so far and it was from the tips (13 handicap for the round) 3 drives i had that day over 300 lol shortest one was 317. Though one of them wasn't with the 30-35km winds and i bombed it 333, Im still amazed at it over the water and everything. 7 G.I.R's that round and not a birdie in sight i really missed out on some good oportunities :(. 0 fairways but basically always just off or i was cutting the hole so i unno lol. i had 36 putts so i wasn't to excited about that, as it's a strong point of mine. had 6 pars, 5 Double bogeys!, and the rest bogeys
