It's pretty amazing that only one home team won, and even then, the Colts being that deep in a hole should have lost. But overall, wild card weekend was pretty thrilling.

I thought for sure it was going to get blocked seeing how fast that guy was coming. But hey, it's a game of inches and that just proves it.

I recently purchased a Nike Method MC03 putter, which is only the second putter I own. I have been playing a Scotty Studio Select Newport 2 for a few years now and have been struggling with it recently. I like the mallet because of the heavier weight. Yes, I could have switched the weights on the Scotty, but I wanted an excuse to buy a new putter . Also, sometimes a new look can sometimes be helpful.

I played two decent rounds in December and that dropped my handicap from 12.2 to 11.1. Slowly heading towards my goal of getting into single digits. Just hoping to maintain it

I can definitely understand the choice to run the ball and do lean towards the reasoning of doing what got them there in the first place. I'll take back what I said about Stanford making it easy on MSU's defense, which is where credit is due in the first place. Agree that Stanford didn't execute, but really started to also get one-dimensional in the second half where it looked like they were choosing plays 3:1 in favor of running the ball. They did get some good running plays in, but it started to become very predictable. On 4th and 1, running seemed to be the smarter decision, but previous plays before going into that, they could have at least tried one pass play to spread it out a little bit.

Agreed. Also, those 2 dropped INTs ended up in MSU scoring. Stanford really made it easy on MSU in that final drive - no adjustments made (pretty much ran all the time), didn't even go uptempo, and failed to read the defense where MSU pretty much crowded the box with 8 players.

It was a pretty good Rose Bowl overall, but I really don't understand what Stanford kept doing in the second half. Michigan State proved that they won't be able to run against their D-Line, yet they still kept going at it. It reminded of me when Oregon and Auburn played in the title game and Oregon just kept trying to run up the gut with no luck at all. It's either Shaw was thinking that his Stanford team was going to do what they did best to get them where they were, which was running the ball, or he really didn't have much confidence in his QB. I don't have the stats in but I think Kevin Hogan becomes a mediocre passer away from home, especially in the red zone.

Okay, we at least have a foursome in me, Brandon, Ron, and Flopster (sorry don't know your first name) all in four different areas - Sacramento, Concord, San Francisco, and Hayward. Hoping to at least get one more foursome in.

We won't really find out the playoff schedule until January 12 so let's just set it up for that weekend. If the Niners are still playing then I might have to see too.

I also have a net in one of my rooms and I can see why. For me, when I hit real balls, I do an easier swing, mostly because I have fear of me hitting the ball anywhere but the net. I also have the Almost Golf Balls which basically a heavy foam ball and I don't let up as much because there's a lot less risk of damage. Also, what PirateJim said, when I do hit the foam balls, I don't feel much of an impact and seem to just swing through it. When hitting real balls, I do feel a slow down after impact.

I've tried the electric razor earlier this year and it didn't cut close enough like a regular razor did and I didn't like having to clean it either. Right now, I'm using a Gillette Fusion Proglide and just got the Dove Men+ Care shave gel yesterday to try it out. I used the Aveeno shave gel before, but thought I'd switch it up. I only shave once a week so each Gillette razor lasts me a while

You can check with your local golf shop. Usually they will and they'll just charge you just the service or installation fee. I usually do the same since buying a set of grips online is cheaper than paying the retail price. But if I'm only regripping one club, I'll just go straight to the shop. There are a few shops that may include the installation at no charge if you buy the set with them. Again, it's best to ask them.

Just saw next year's schedule and it looks like we'll meet again for our first season game.

@flopster No it hasn't happened yet, but I agree we're overdue for this to happen. I'll take the blame for this. The weekend of the 18th and 19th should provide ample time to set something up. I'll send a PM out to the group.

Looks like both secondaries are suffering injury losses - Clay Matthews is out as well as Carlos Rogers for the Niners. This will probably be a high scoring game similar to week 1. Go Niners!

USC hasn't had a bowl win since 2009. It's not where I would like them to be, but really can't complain considering what's been going on this season. Really like how they're playing now.

Honestly, a lot of companies are doing that now and not just TMAG. It's better just to get comfortable with what you already have unless you have enough saved up to get the JS 2.0, TP, Performance, or whatever they may call it. If it already performs better than what you currently have in the bag, there's really no need to keep upgrading.
