I'm glad someone has some common sense on here.

Trust me, I wish I would have saved time and not read it, or responded, or responded again here lol (I guess I'm wasting my sunday away until football starts). I read it because I thought it sounded interesting, then when I finished I realized that neither "side" of this "discussion" has any real impact on golf, playing golf, OWGR, or anything else. That's all I'm saying.
-
So, this article that you are disproving didn't actually provoke any changes in the OWGR, correct? So you wrote a long dissertation to disprove an article that has no real influence? Why don't you just send a letter to the people who wrote the article, instead of posting it on here where it has absolutely no use.
-
So all of that was to say that you don't believe what a 2012 study on the OWGR concludes?
-
Absolutely not lol. I enjoy following NBA, NFL and pro surfing a lot more than golf. Playing golf probably comes in 3rd, after basketball and surfing.

Yes, videos. I ask because the sample video he showed was not in HD. Thanks for the info. Edit: I don't know much about the specs of video cameras. Just getting into filming recently. This seems like a great deal tho.

This camera does not record in HD, correct?

Tiger Woods to Open a Restaurant (The Woods Jupiter)

DUDE! That was the best flavor of G ever. I used to live off that when I played hoops. We need to start a petition to get them to bring it back under a different name. -
Can anyone recommend a good glove?

If you think Team USA hit rock bottom in the 2014 Ryder Cup, wait until you see NBC's television ratings. According to a Sports Business Daily report , the Ryder Cup's Sunday overnight rating of 1.8 (measured from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Eastern) is the lowest Sunday rating since 1991, when NBC first began televising the event. That's a 54 percent decline from the Sunday rating at the 2012 Ryder Cup in suburban Chicago, and a 25 percent decline from the Sunday rating at the 2010 Ryder Cup in Wales. Only two other Ryder Cups since 1991 have record a Sunday overnight rating below 3: The 2006 matches, a European blowout (18.5 to 9.5) at The K Club in Ireland, recorded a Sunday overnight rating of 2.7; and the 2010 matches, which were not concluded until Monday due to weather delays, drew a 2.4, with Europe winning 14.5 to 13.5 at Celtic Manor in Wales. Tiger Woods, who played in the 2006, 2010 and 2012 Ryder Cups, missed this year's event due to a back injury. I'm fairly new to golf, this is the first Ryder Cup I've watched, and it was pretty boring, to be honest. I love watching these guys play, but the celebrating and all that seems super fake to me. The whole vibe just seemed "put-on." Can't really explain why, that's just how I took it. Do they get paid for Ryder Cup appearances? Or any sort of monetary benefit?

Back9Network launches today; is there room for two golf networks?
BENtSwing replied to boogielicious's topic in Golf Talk
I had no idea this channel was premiering tonight and randomly saw a show called "Off Par with Matty Blake" on the guide...ummm...I tried to give it a chance...but yeeeesh. It was like a mix of the worst SNL skits, a public access/deep cable show (not in HD), and a golf infomercial. The one "skit" I watched, had a guy and his friend's gf waiting in a doctors office, the doc comes out and says, (insert terrible acting/improve) "...there's really nothing we can do, he's suffering from and over-the-top motion." blah blah blah... Then the gf says she's leaving this guy and his friend won't play golf with him anymore, terrible joke after terrible slice joke...LOL! Pretty unbelievable really...I was asking my girlfriend if she accidentally picked up the wrong prescription from the local MM clinic, cuz I must have been hallucinating. -
Definition of "Good Ballstriker"
BENtSwing replied to Paiste's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
That's pretty dang good lol. Definitely gives a better perspective (for me anyway) on what "good" is, thanks. I look at the PGA stats sometimes...last time I looked, the tour stats for GIR were 50% (worst) - 70% (best). These do not include nGIR, right? -

LOL seriously... This is an idea for a different thread obviously, but maybe a moderator can just give a "TST-defintion" of good and/or great "ball striking?" I understand that it's not a cut-and-dry subject, but at least we can have something to refer to in these "discussions." *Although some will argue with any statement that involves the phrases "scratch golfer" "figure it out" "great ball striking" or "workability with forged blades." -

Word. Gotcha. -
You didn't know? TST is the Real Housewives of the PGA now. Everyone's thoughts about a golfer's personal life are way too important not to post.

I don't think he meant literally the best ball striker in the world... -
Oh yeah, for sure lol...goes without saying. I do like to mess around at a Roger Dunn/Golf Galaxy and these are on the radar now

For the blade lovers out there. These look so clean!

Yeah it's fun man. Maybe we can get out there soon...I'll be in touch.
