  1. I cover driver, wood and hybrid only, and all the time.
  2. The Masters: Eldrick Woods US Open: Adam Scott The Open: Henrick Stensen PGA Championship: Jason Day
  3. For every responsible dog owner such as yourself, there are 10 that will refuse to clean up after them, and let them piss on the greens. Those 10 ruin it for everyone. Plus...it's not really necessary to bring your dog to the course, lets be honest.
  4. The most annoying thing about the Rotary Swing is the bate-and-switch that goes on with their YouTube videos. They advertise all these "great drills" for various things (creating lag, compression, fixing a slice)...so you watch the 3-4 minute video from "The Lag Doctor" mumbling in some backwards accent, leading all the way up to the drill AAANNNNDDDD.....you're lead to a pay site if you want to actually SEE the drill. I'm glad I read this thread before I fell for their scam and paid for anything. To the people/coaches/pros who post their expert advise on here for free, with no B.S., I can't thank you enough.
  5. I don't know anyone who is "afraid of the green." Was this thread just started to brag about your putting?
  6. I think we've all been there. You just have to power through it. If you have the fundamentals down and you're working on every aspect of the game, the scores will take care of themselves eventually. I wanna know what kind of friends brag about shooting mid-90's! lol...kidding, of course.
  7. I agree with you on the sequencing. It's tough to be able to dial that in at will. Some days I can get in that rhythm right away, and sometimes not. To take a beginner's shot at your first question...I think the pro's decide to really let a driver go when there is room to miss, and when the hole calls for it, in order to score. I heard that on a Playing Lessons on GC...forget who the pro was. Anyway...my 2 cents.
  8. 1. break 80 2. add 10+ yards to driver 3. walk more
  9. Oh that makes sense. I'm new to golf and how the whole handicap thing works...and why it's even necessary if you're not playing in a tournament. But yeah I agree I don't care what anyone else is doing really...as long as they don't try and tell me what to do.
  10. Planning on driving out to the Humana Challenge next year for the Friday through Sunday rounds. To anyone that has been, do you have any general advice or recommendations for getting the most out of this experience? It will be the first PGA event I've been to. Thanks!
  11. Great swing.
  12. I'm chiming in late on the subject...new to TST. If you are not holding up the group behind, I don't think a stranger should be knocking putts back to you. Drives me crazy. I like to putt out everything, otherwise I don't feel like I've played a complete round. If POP is an issue, I'll take 1 foot and close gimmies, but that's it. It's funny how people will brag about their decreasing handicaps while taking 3-5 foot gimmie putts.
  13. I agree with you OP. I always played GI irons because I only played maybe 2-4 times a year. This year I began taking golf more seriously aka "became addicted"...since I've had a few lessons and actually learned the proper way to strike a golf ball, the GI irons are becoming less and less appealing. I found a set of Mizuno MP-62s in great shape for $150 and I've been slowly replacing my GI clubs one at a time (I'm up to the 7 iron). I know the 62s aren't the "bladey-ist" irons but I feel much more confident that I can strike the ball first and cut through the grass in front of the ball with the Mizunos vs the GIs (Callaways). The combo set I have now is working great for me. BS32
  14. A tee, a little spit and a towel LOL...don't see that on tour now do you?
  15. Haha @ nolagolfer, that always happens, right?? I hear the JetSpeed is a great 3W though. I actually played it patient with the Nike Covert driver that I wanted for the longest time...waited until the 2.0 was announced and bought the first version (barely used) for $99.99. Saved me $200+...absolutely ridiculous. It's like buying a used vs new car lol. I wonder if the over producing of new clubs will ever stop. BS32
  16. Was going write that it doesn't apply to me because I live in SoCal...but today it's raining lol. Guess I'll be swinging away in my living room tonight like everyone else... while my gf rolls her eyes and my dog runs and hides.
  17. Read Ben Hogan's 5 Lessons book.
