I'd say go for it. He'll do good with only a 6I as he can probably hit good long and approach shots, but using that thing to putt won't be easy.

I'm not sure about stores at the US, but here in Canada it depends on the store you're going to get fitted at, as all stores have different prices. Costs on reshafting a driver can vary, all depending on what shaft you're going to choose.

I'd say the shaft is as important as the head, if not more. Without a proper working shaft, the head, and most importantly you won't work to your full potential and vice versa. As you can see below, I've replaced all my stock shafts on my clubs, except for my wedges. The shafts I chose are what I feel best suit my needs. At my level, I feel I don't need to get fitted for the shafts I want, as I already feel and know which best suit me. Personally, I love searching for new shafts more so than I do the actual club head.

If you want to re-groove your clubs, get 'em done at The Iron Factory . They're great for working on your irons/wedges. You can get some Mac Daddy's on them. I have no personal experience with them, but I have a friend who did, and they did a really good job. Check google, and look for reviews from different people if you want to know more about them.

I don't think there's anything wrong when someone starts playing blades as a beginner, since I started playing blades as a beginner when I knew nothing about the game. My father got me to play blades since that was what he got used to playing as he grew up. There may be arguments about why a beginner starts the game using blades, but I've got no problem with the decision at all. Do you think golf greats before our day started with cavity backs? Back in the day, blades were considered irons and they got along fine, if not better than the average golfer of today. What I do have a problem with, is how some experienced golfer who's a 20+ handicapper can be rude, and disrespectful to beginners just because they started the game with blades. They should know better. If it gives confidence to a complete beginner by playing blades, power to them. So if an absolute beginner plays using blades while not knowing the situation, I believe there should be nothing wrong with that at all.

All aspects of one's game are equally important in order to improve their level of play. In other words, more golfers need to focus on all-round style an of play, rather than focusing on one aspect of their game. However, according to Titleist based on their Pro V ball ad; that the average recreational golfer requires improvements on their short game to lower their scores, and improve their game. This happens to be statistically proven, and true.

So far it doesn't interest me that much, except for maybe the Arnold Palmer parts.

Those quotes on Pat Perez were great examples. He's being stupid, and I now have a reason to not like him. If he feels that way about links golf, then he shouldn't play there and praise the players championship like all the other fakes over there who think of it as a major. I find it an insult to see players like him talk about our beautiful game in that manner.

Yeah.....I don't agree. Tiger today is so dominating since I believe no one is there to really challenge him. Tiger's on a different level, and he's the only one there. The closer one's to challenge him include Mickelson, Duval, Els? I can't include Garcia, Scott, and others since they haven't even won a major. Compared to all-time greats that include Arnold Palmer, Ben Crenshaw, Billy Casper, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Raymond Floyd, Seve Ballesteros, Tom Watson, Tom Lehman who were all in Jack's level. How is that not talented? Back to the topic, it's true how players of today make more money, but that's how it goes. That's happened to nearly every sport, and I believe Mr. Nicklaus needs to accept this. However, I believe it's true when players of today are becoming soft. Player's have so many advantages today with all the different things being offered. You just didn't have those things many years ago. And that affects a lot of the competition today.

This friday is when I take my CPGA Class "A" exam. I'm so excited since I'm going to officialy be part of the CPGA after I pass this exam. I'm nervous, but I don't think it'll be that bad . I've been so busy studying all day!

I definitely think it's going to be all The Ryder Cup hype. I'm excited, and I'm anxiously waiting for it. It should be great this year !

Links golf is my favorite. Nothing better to me than playing at a links course , I find it beautiful. My course is a links style course and I prefer no other.

Even though I get some shoes for free from time to time, I still don't get the premium ones I want . Most I've ever spent was more than $250. I got me a pair of Footjoy Classics Tour. Up here in Canada, they're around $399 a pair. I've got no problem with the price since I got a few discounts. I got them for $350 so it was okay . However, I'm looking into buying another pair of those even for the costly $399 tag...

Oh, BTW. To those who think Tiger's win at Torrey was impressive because of the knee injury, it was, period. BUT, have you heard of Ben Hogan's 1950 U.S. Open win at Merion? He was in the same, if not more pain than Tiger was. Sad to see how people forget the greats of yesterday for their heroic wins. Tiger's win was great, but I presume Mr. Hogan's was greater.

I still won't judge who's better. However, I believe Jack did have tougher competition than Tiger does today. I mean, Jack had to deal with Palmer, Player, Casper, Trevino, Miller, Floyd, Watson etc. Compared to Mickelson, Els, Singh, Duval, Adam Scott who seem to be the closest challengers to Tiger? Tiger's winning because there's no competition for him. Although this is true, even Tiger himself says Jack's the greatest of all time.

I've got both actually . That's why from time to time I change my WITB. My original set is with MacGregor, but I've also got Titleist stuff because the course I work at has a Titleist fitting centre and I get stuff from them for free. I've got a contract with them as well. The coach I work with at the club has two sets of clubs too ...so it's all good .
