  1. that's where i got my stuff from. great seller. i registered my ping g10 driver online at ping.com with the serial number that was on it, so i knew it was a real one. ebay has too many scammers. not only sellers. i was almost scammed by buyers as well. i was selling an xbox 360 with a buy it now price on it. the person won the item through "buy it now". the person emailed me and said that she bought it for her grandson in nigeria and that she would pay me to ship it there if i could. i even received a paypal email saying that she sent me the money that i had requested with the shipping fees to nigeria calculated in. i even had it boxed up and ready to go. but something didn't feel right. i researched a little more, and even contacted paypal about it and they said it was a scam. they said one important thing to look out for in their emails, is that they address you by your NAME and not as "dear paypal user". it was a close call, but it has made me even more careful when i buy or even SELL on ebay. that sucks that you got scammed. i hope things work out. i bought some jordans on ebay once and they ended up being fake. luckily, i was able to get my money back. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE EVERYONE!!
  2. i've been taught to imagine a wall against the rear of your leading shoulder on the backswing, which would prevent you from turning forward on the downswing. This has helped me start with my arms a little more and come down on the correct plane. i also work on focusing on my arms at the top of the backswing. i imagine me swinging into like a bouncy ball at the top. if i were to back swing into a large bouncy ball, it would make my arms bounce the other way into my downswing. i try to focus on feeling that "bounce" back at the top of the backswing. this should get the arms dropping down on plane.
  3. i drive a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI in Satin White Pearl.
  4. oh yeah that too. any shoe store sells the waterproofer and they do wonders for your shoes. not only your shoes, but your hats, wind breakers etc. the sales people in those stores try to sell you those accessories when you buy shoes because they need to sell multiple items with each transaction, but they really work to care for your shoes.
  5. you can go to any athletic shoe store and buy their shoe foam. if you need specifics, go to finish line and get a can of their's (i think made by kiwi) for $4.99. just spray it on, let the foam break up the dirt and just wipe it off. very simple, and it's safe for most shoes.
  6. sounds to me like you need some 9.5's. if your foot slides forward in the shoe too much to where you can fit a finger in there, then the heel cage can't hold your foot in. if it holds your foot in properly, it will feel better because movement within the shoe causes those stupid blisters in the back of your heel. that's probably common sense though. all that is my 6 years in the shoe industry talking. having said all that, next time i would look into tiger's shoe. i know they're expensive, but the 360II's aren't cheap either. i bought a pair of tw's for $99 online. nike has done a great job making the shoe perform and comfortable. of course, i've always been a nike fan. the cage on the tw's hold my foot very well. if there is a way, i would at least change sizes. maybe you could go to your local store and try on a smaller size to see if that is indeed the problem. at least you would know!
  7. what does the "v" stand for? if it stands for "version", then it would make sense to call it pro-v2.....version2.
  8. that's good to know. i will be getting fitted, so i will have the right shaft installed. the g10's ended up being a lot better than what people told me. it was very crisp and it launch the ball a pretty long way. i automatically felt that my handi would go down just by purchasing these clubs. but like i said before, i will let the fitting session tell me what i need.
  9. I missed it! I was at the range.
  10. Go Angels!!
  11. I could beat him in TaeKwonDo!
  12. Let's go Sooners! No more choking!!!!
  13. i'll be doing the same thing. i tend to rush my pre-shot and my shot on the course.
  14. i find i hit fat shots when i don't shift my weight properly on my backswing and downswing. sometimes, if there is too much weight on my front foot on my backswing, i will hit a chunk. then when i fix it and rotate properly around my rear leg with weight going to the inside of my rear foot, then i can make clean impact. like everyone has been saying, it could be lots of things. but for me, this happens everytime i do what i said above.
  15. that's why i keep wanting to go to the i10's. but i will let the pro help me decide which is best for me. either way, they're great clubs. and i've gotten used to the thick topline of the g10's after hitting a bucket yesterday. it actually gives me more confidence.
  16. ok, i went and hit a g10 and i10 7 iron today. i had to hit what they had at the clubhouse. after a rough measurement, i saw that i was probably a green dot with about 1/2-1" length. They had the g10 in the green dot with 1/2" length, but the i10, they only had a yellow dot (which is one color below the green) in a 1/4" length. btw, i due plan on getting professionally fitted before i decide on which iron and before i purchase them. this was just to get a feel of the irons. the g10's were amazing. they were easy to hit just like i've read. and the solid shots were not as short as i thought they would be. felt pretty great. the i10's were amazing also. it did take a little more practice to hit the i10's, but when you hit them solid they felt awesome. even the fat shots got the ball to a respectable distance toward the target. i felt in my test that the g10's was the winner, just because i hit them slightly better. however, i had to consider the fact that the i10 was a yellow dot and shorter than what i measured out to be. they were not as comfortable as the g10's because of that fact. i bladed the ball a bit more with the i10 which maybe due to it being a shorter club and flatter lie. if i were to buy today, i would get the g10's. they make you feel confident. the i10 did too, but not having the correct spec club did not make me feel as great. but i'm still keeping it in mind. when i get fitted, we will be able to find out which of the two will be best for me. both felt like butter when hit solid. the mis-hits still felt pretty solid but not butter like. i hope this helped a little for anyone looking to purchase any of these irons. i will have a more detailed review once i get officially fitted for one.
  17. Use a soft bristled brush (usually the black side of a 2 sided brush) and use very light pressure. I was taught to do that 9 years ago on my ping i3's. takes a little patience but it works very well and keeps your clubs in great shape. Remember, the more often you clean, the less pressure you have to use......and the better you'll play sometimes.
  18. i wish i still had them, but they were gone a long time ago. very nice clubs.
  19. thanks everyone for their replies! i will schedule a fitting session with, who my friends tell me, is the best in the state. that fitting session will tell me which ones are best for me. I'm hoping the i10's will be right for me because they just look better at address first of all. i started playing golf with a set of i3 o-size about 9 years ago, so i'm kinda used to the "bulkiness" of pings, but the g10's were a little too bulky. we shall see though. they could be everything and more when i actually hit them.
  20. have you hit the g10's?
  21. hmm, just in my opinion....and what common sense would tell me......i would think that getting the putter fitted to your stroke would help get your eyes over the ball and allow you to have more room for your arms. just my first reaction to your post.
  22. good point. but i guess after i hit them, i will have a better idea.
  23. thanks for the replies. I will definitely try out both clubs and get fitted for which ever works for me. My concern was having such a forgiving set of irons like g10 three years from now and my swing improves to where it needs a set of i10. I was trying to buy things once and I'm trying to figure out which would be best for me in the long run. I plan on keeping these irons for a long time.
  24. I'm in the market for some new irons. I just started playing again in May after a 6 year layoff. Back then I was around a 15 handicap and was continuing to get lower scores, but I got injured from basketball which prevented me to do any sports. I didn't play golf for about 6 months and then when I came back, I had a really bad yip in my swing and I literally could not hit the ball. That is the reason I gave up for awhile. Well, I decided to give it another shot after 6 years and it's been 2 months so far. I can't play with my muscle backs anymore due to inconsistency. I've played about 10 times these past 2 months and I've averaged in the mid 90's.....couple of rounds into the 100's. I decided it's time to get some new irons and get properly fitted for them. I have my eyes on the Ping G10's and I10's. I know the G10's are more forgiving, but the look at address bothers me. The I10's look much better at address to me due to a thinner top line. My question is,.....which set should I go for? My next set of irons, I plan on keeping them for a long time. I'm thinking that with time, my game will improve and the I10's will be perfect for me. I'm trying to compromise between an extremely forgiving iron and a great visual setup of a blade. I guess I'm trying to plan for the future a bit. Anyone here hit any of these irons? I am aware that the I10's are forgiving also, so I'm wondering if they are fairly easy to hit. A lot easier than muscle backs, I'm sure. I appreciate any opinions and feedback.
  25. i usually hit my driver a little higher than i like. so to lower it a little i ordered one with the prolaunch red which is supposed to have a slightly lower launch. i believe the v2 has a higher launch. the tfc129 has a higher torque rating than the other two. i'd get fitted for one if you are not sure.
