I played with the same type of person in a tournament yesterday. He threw me off my game completely and I was so pissed. The other two kids hated him as well. At least now I know next time I play with someone like that just to ignore them because they're only gonna screw me up.
I only watch for the tournaments, especially the Nationwide. And the Big Break too. Mainly because the rest of the programming is just plain awful. I think I've seen the Medicus infomercial at least 200 times now.
As a lefty, I'm disappointed at the lack of lefties(on both tours). I find it kind of odd too.
Side note: "Bonnie got into a five-way playoff at the 1979 Coca-Cola Classic (wasn’t that before New Coke came out?)" I found this funny that the author doesn't realize that it's just the title of the tournament like The Honda Classic. lol
I've got a Taylormade Rescue TP(3 iron) and I love it. At first it was extremely hard to handle because it is made for better players but once I got it down it became my best friend. I'm really surprised how well I can hit the ball out of deep rough with it.
You can hear Tiger say "G-dammit" all the time when he hits a bad drive. it's pretty funny. But I wish I was watching when Faldo said that, I probably would've gotten a good laugh.
It annoys me too and most of the time I'll just say "Aahhh, no I didn't hit it right, but it works."
But I snap when my dad says it to me, I don't know why.
They're Club Championships for members at country clubs, so the only way to get in is to be a paying member at the club(at least mine). Find a country club or golf club that you like and can afford and try to become a member there.
On topic: My CC does match play with 4 flights A B C and D according to handicaps. There is one qualifying weekend for all flights except A flight plays from the tips and has a 36 hole qualifier in set pairings. Then it's top 16 in a bracket with match play. Again, the final A flight match plays 36 holes.
There is another tournament that we have which is called the Governors Cup and it's the same thing but you play with strokes.
Mine is 100-130. I can get my 54 up to 100 now but then I start having the same problem as you, and my PW tops out at 130. So just to play safe I choke up on the PW because it's the safest play.
I keep my woods in the top divider, then my 3-5 irons in the middle left part and 6-8 irons in the one opposite. Then my 9, P, 54, and 60 wedges are in the bottom along with my putter. I have a Ping Hoofer Extreme btw.
I'm completely anal about my club organization, I hate when they're out of order.
