  1. Hello & welcome!! Personally, I myself only joined recently as well and so far have thoroughly enjoyed this site!! Lots of friendly folks and info galore...
  2. Welcome to the neighborhood!!! Lots of great people here and lots of info to be taken in...
  3. Welcome & hope you have a great experience with us here at this Forum! Lots of info and friendly folks....
  4. Hello & welcome!! Good to hear that you've returned to the game! Cheers!
  5. Hello folks! Just need your opinions/comments on a putter that I was thinking of purchasing. It's the Guerin Rife 2 bar putter. Any feedback will be appreciated!!
  6. Club length & club lie are important in my opinion because they would allow you to have your set being set up for your swing, height, etc. so that it allows you to have maximum usage of the clubface. I'm not tall (5'6"), and have my clubs at regular length but with 1.5* flat lie angle. Also, keep in mind that unless you are purchasing forged clubs, it would be wise to have the right specs done at the manufacturer as far as adjustments because your local shop can't perform them once you've ordered your set. Have fun with your selection(s)...
  7. I've heard about those folks from Nakashima & I believe they're based from Stockton (?) CA. They also have a product wherein you are able to change shafts on your driver with just a simple tool, much like the same that Callaway uses on their demo days. Let me know what the results with your clubs because I've been looking into changing shafts on my irons & had a different experience when I tried TT DG SL's on a Callaway Xtour set. Right now I'm still using TT DG's on my Mizunos, but gravitating towards TT Black Gold line...
  8. Will most likely try DDTC's when I get the chance! Thanks for the response & happy swinging!!!
  9. HAH!! Now that would really be a bad day...but hey, like they say...bad day at golf is better than good day at work....and so on and so on...good luck with the shoe search!!
  10. Try the Footjoy E-Comfort line and see if those would work for you. Although Bite shoes aren't as popular, I've used them to some extent and like the way they are because I have wide feet. All in all, I'd suggest going to your favorite golf retailer and see what they have to offer as far as comfort because nothing ruins a day of golf worse than aching feet. Of course, a score of "snowman" on any hole can cause grief as well....
  11. Have tried the Winn G8's & absolutely loved them. Not only do they feel good, but they reduce the wear & tear on the glove as well. Haven't tried the new Lamkin Dual Density Torsion control grips yet, but might put one on an iron just to see & compare.
  12. Aaaah, now that sounds like a plan!! Bribery!!! Thanks for the suggestion and keep on sharpening those skills....
  13. Hello & welcome!! Now I'll just ignore the "....proclaiming for years...dumb sport...etc" part and leave it at that (heheh). Anyhow, I'm glad that your boyfriend was good enough & patient enought to nag you into the game!! I hope I can do the same with my spouse....wish me luck because so far she's been unreceptive...
  14. Honma drivers are way too overpriced and overrated. Quality is also questionable since clones are available & if you're not careful, you end up with an even more inferior product than you think (plus you paid a big price). Good qulaity drivers are always available & I would even go as far as suggest one for member name "Waggle" a driver that has the offset feature on it so as to aid in the ball to be hit straight or consistently. Practice, as well as lessons (as was suggested by others), would be most beneficial in letting you enjoy this great game more & often!!! Peace!!!
  15. I've had good success with my local Golfsmith retailer and had the same experience with their website as well. So I'd say give them a try...sad to hear about the experience you encountered with your shaft order though...
  16. Hello Ben!! No, I'm not Japanese (actually, I'm Pilipino), but my friends say I kinda look like Shigeki so they gave me the nickname...although I am also a Shigeki fan as well!!
  17. Thanks for the response!! I've only been able to get out roughly every 2 weeks (if that!), but I still enjoy the game no matter what I shoot because to me, that's basically what it's all about!!! My kids generally go when "they feel like it..", and I also enjoy their company when they do...
  18. Hello to all, Just joined in and decided to "hi" to everyone at this forum. Been playing golf for about 3.5-4 years off & on (due to kids still being small). Looking forward to possibly talking to you folks soon, and wish you all the best hits for this coming season!! 19. Highly recommend this club! I had previously used other brands along with a 983K, then tried the Nike Ignite 460 (so, so..), then tried Taylor Made's TP R7 (hated it...), and finally settled on the 905R. Quite simply, one of the longest and easiest driver I've tried!! Did not disappoint at all...
