  1. Many years ago I had the audio book of "golf is not a game of perfect" It helped me improve my scores quite a bit.
  2. it is quite amazing to see what your swing actually looks like. My golf game showed the most improvement after I took video lessons. Nothing like visual verification to show you how you are doing. The summer that I studied for the CPA exam I played quite a bit of golf. Just can't sit in one place for more than 10 hrs a day. I took 2 series of 4 lessons that included video taping. I went from shooting in the 100~110 to shooting mid 80's consistantly. By the end of the summer early fall I didn't have one round over 90. If I didn't have mirrors in my house I would think I looked like Brad Pitt.
  3. Probably spend time doing my other hobby, Photography.
  4. Get back to where I was about 10 years ago. Used to shoot about 10~14 from the whites. Casual golf scoring with the occasional mulligan here maybe once or twice a round. On the courses that I played I think that means about 17 or 18 handicap. My swing is almost there and I have to start concentrating on my short game. Putting is the hardest for me. Far too many three Putts. I already broke 100 a couple of times this year. Last time I played I shot a 95 from the blues and Not bad considering I probably shot about 115 in the first round that I played this year. I am confident that I will be able to shoot
  5. I have been hitting the range a lot lately also. I am in the midst of getting lessons to get me back to where I was 10 years ago when I played somewhat seriously. I find that I go back to the tendencies that I had when I first started playing OMG 25 years ago. Sometimes I do tend to hit too many balls I think. Ussually about 200 a day. My swing is coming back around and think that I can get back to about 15 by the end of the summer. I found that I got the most improvement when I took lessons and hit a bucket of balls a day. Though like others have said that when I am taking lessons it ussually takes me 3 times as long to go through a bucket because there are specific things that I am working on.
  6. Lots of great advice I am going to have to practice that tempo practice. I have the same problems but not quite as severe I can hit a 5i confidently but when I pick up the 4 or 3 I don't seem to gain much more distance and often put my self in more trouble. I have been hitting the range more often lately and it is getting better.
  7. Can't go wrong with either course they are both magnificent. I played Chambers bay a couple of weeks a go and boy is it nice. Great view though I have had the same view from my parents home for about 20 years. But playing golf to that view is something else.
  8. Thanks for the info it will be a couple of years before both of my kids will be able to go but my oldest might be able to join this year.
  9. Much like the most purchases you have to look around to get the best deals. This is something that I will have to deal with in a couple of years when my kids get older currently 3&5. Good to know that there are programs for juniors or kids. I don't think I would take my kids to the full course in the beginning. There are a number of short course here and I am sure those course would me more then enough for the kids, although they are rather boring for me. Haven't played them in years but and I never payed attention to a junior rate.
