  1. Yes, if I was to play the same 9 holes and get the same score...
  2. I voted lower. 26 HCI by next year at this time. Over this past year my swing has slowly improved, putting has improved and most definitely my decision making has improved. If I can continue to improve my swing I don't see why I can't have an HCI in the mid 20's by this time next year.
  3. Shot a 49 last night on the back 9 at my home course, 34.6/131 from the whites, which translates into a 12.4 diff over 9. I plan on getting out for another 9 this week plus 36 over the weekend during my club tourney. I hope to continue the downward trend!
  4. Shot a 49 yesterday for my 1st sub 50 nine hole round out of the last 3. And my first sub 50 round on the back 9 at my home course all year. Happy with the score but left a bunch of strokes out there. Three putted a couple holes, including the easiest hole. Struggled with my ball striking but that is nothing new. No penalty strokes and I tried to stay out of trouble. I know we are not supposed to look at the score but as I walked up to the last tee box I saw I had a 44 and needed a bogey to get my 49. I think it actually helped for once, I think I focused a little better. On my second shot I was 160 out, with bunkers on the left, right and back of the green I elected to lay up instead of challenging the bunkers. Then I did a bump and run which ran off the green on to the fringe. Putted to within 3-4 feet, then knowing I had to sink that putt to get my 49, took my time aiming and hit it firm to take some of the break out and sunk it for my bogey. Now if I could just hit my driver further, improve my ball striking with my irons, eliminate 3 putts, etc...
  5. Sounds like a lost ball to me. Just like OB, stroke and distance.
  6. Breaking 90 thread... http://thesandtrap.com/t/70872/bogey-golfers-only-hi-from-16-22-breaking-90-thread
  7. It is not wrong. Your handicap index will continue to go down. If you are consistently shooting those scores it will eventually level out. If you continue to improve it will continue to drop.
  8. Down .6. 30.9 -> 30.3.
  9. That is pretty cool! I will be down .6 since my last revision, down .2 from my 1st post in this thread. Last couple of 9 hole rounds didn't help lower my HCI.
  10. @Judah Ben-Hur great job breaking 100 2 days in a row!
  11. Maybe instead of looking at as breaking 100, look at it as how many strokes over par. So on a standard course par is 72, so to break 100 you are looking at +27 or less, +13 or less over 9 holes. So on this round you scored a 43, 11 over par. Looks good to me!
  12. Played 18 this morning. This evening I practiced my chipping for 15 minutes, concentrating on contact and distance control.
  13. I hope I am finally starting to figure this lesson out. My ball striking is about as bad as at has been since this spring but I believe I am making better decisions. Aiming for the side of the green where there is the least trouble, leaving the driver in the bag on narrow fairways, etc. I had no penalty strokes today other than I had to take a drop on an unplayable lie. Anyhow I shot my best round ever today, a 95, I know, not special, but it was to me! Thanks TST and LSW! http://www.gamegolf.com/player/pecos24/round/502391
  14. Zilch, zero, nada. Which is really unusual for me, especially over 18 holes.
  15. I think it has taken me 20+ years to figure that out!
  16. Biggest weakness seems to change week to week and round to round. Right now I would say my biggest weakness is lack of solid contact/loss of distance. Which I guess would suggest I am not getting my weight shifted.
  17. After the last revision I am up .5 to 30.9. So was this the drive to add 5? But on the plus side I am trending 29.9 after a career best round this morning. I shot a 95 for a 24.6 diff. I didn't hit the ball particularly well but I stayed out of trouble for the most part.
  18. Wow some good scores posted the past few days. Now I have to blow my own horn a little. I shot a 95 this morning for my first sub 100 round in almost 7 years, 2nd one ever and lowest ever. (last one was in 2008, a 96) I shot a 45 on the front and a 50 on the back. Only one penalty stroke, I had to take a drop on unplayable lie on the last hole. My ball bounced into a spruce tree and stuck in the branches. I really didn't strike the ball that well, but my putting was good and I stayed out of trouble for the most part. http://www.gamegolf.com/player/pecos24/round/502391
  19. Making my slow climb the wrong direction. 30.9 up from 30.5. (Though after this mornings round I am trending 29.9)
  20. Worked on keeping head still on back swing and starting down swing with lateral hip move.
  21. @krupa what is your Game Golf profile?
  22. Hey @oudrees welcome to the "Breaking Bad" support group. The 1st step is admitting you have a problem... Seriously though, have you made an entry in the Member Swings forum? http://thesandtrap.com/f/4180/member-swings There are several people that are willing to help out with swing issues. I have to admit I have not taken full advantage of it but I plan on utilizing it more in the future.
  23. HCI is slightly better than when I put the clubs away in September '14 but is trending worse. I don't feel I have golfed significantly better or worse than when I finished playing last season.
  24. Wow.... I guess I need to read the rules again.. Of course reading them and understanding them are two different things.
  25. I was well on my way to a career round this weekend and then the wheels came off, all 4, all at once. I shot a 44 on the front. I was not striking the ball great but I stayed out of trouble and putted fairly well for me. No penalty strokes, no score worse than a double and a couple pars thrown in. Starting with #10 my mild slice on my driver turned into a big banana slice, off into the trees it goes. Tee up a second one, off into the trees it goes... third goes into the rough.(found the 2nd one and was able to play it) Anyway I fought the slice the rest of the round along with a host of other bad swings. The other thing that cost me was not playing this course before, on the back there were 2 or 3 holes where the green was well up hill from the bottom of the fairway. I am not used to playing those kinds of holes. I took an extra club but I should have been 2 or 3 clubs more than usual. I left a lot of approaches short. Two lost balls and several bad swings later I ended up shooting a 61 on the back for a 105(103 ESC). I was pretty bummed when I finished that round! http://www.gamegolf.com/player/pecos24/round/488917
