    God is crying!?

I put if there's only a little. I've been out many times in rain. Mostly light rain, and it's not bad at all. When it gets to the heavy rain, it becomes unenjoyable though.
  2. Maybe that's why I have my opinion I do. I play at a public golf course that isn't very nice to be honest. I don't ever see people dressed up fancy to play golf. Almost everyone looks like me, or worse. That's why I probaby find it so strange people would want to force everyone to dress so proper for gofling.
  3. Thanks to everyone for the advice/encouragment. I'm working out the kinks still, and this new 'hybrid' type swing I've started using to hit my three wood good last night was kind of a mixture of my old swing and what I was trying to do before.
  4. Just as bcollins agreed about tinkering the swing, I agree with him about maybe taking some rest. I've done that too, just to clear my mind of golf and to knock off any small bad habits I might be developing. If you take a little time off you'll come back swinging what you're used to, and most likely if you're making some minor error all of sudden it won't come back with you.
  5. My advice would be to NOT do that. I got into a slump after I tried tweaking my swing and I kept tweaking it more to break out of my bad habits and now I'm stuck without a swing I feel comfortable with. I'm in a slump myself now, and I just don't feel confident at all when going to hit the ball. I would advise just grinding it out and hoping you get out of it. Maybe a few buckets at the range for a few days might be beneficial. I wouldn't tinker with anything serious.
  6. I'd say if I needed 200 yds or less in carry to get it over I'd give it a try
  7. Exactly. Most people I talk to about golf say 'oh I don't golf it's a rich boy's game'. A tee shirt doesn't make you look like a scrub. If I went anywhere in town in a tee shirt and a pair of shorts no one would think anything of it. I'm just glad we don't have people like the majority of you at my golf course who would tell me off for what I wear. I guess the game of golf isn't about having fun... it's about dressing nice. My apologies.
  8. If anyone cares I refound my stroke with my three wood in last night's round. Got 'em all up in the air, none of these gay grounders I've been fighting lately lol... still can't find my swing with the irons though so the score was about in-between what I was hitting a little bit ago and before I tweaked with my swing.
  9. If I had a glove for my right hand I'd defo wear it... unfortunately I don't. Would help me with my blisters.
  10. My friend has Wilson Sam Snead clubs from the 60s and he hits them better than my new clubs. If your clubs are comfortable and work well, don't waste the money to get new ones. That's my two cents.
  11. My best on 9 is 16, dunno about 18. I'm not a good putter. I used to be around 22 putts for nine holes but now I'm down to an average of 18 putts per 9 holes.
  12. I was 110 out on a par four and was shooting three. I was behind a forest of trees, and there was no place to put the ball. It was either go through or go backwards to get back on the fairway. I decided to pull out my three wood and just blast one through the trees. It hit four different trees and ended up dropping on the green and rolling just a little bit into the fringe. Pure luck lol
  13. Don't ever try to make drastic changes to your swing when what you have it working for you. I used to use an abbreviated swing in which I would go back as far as I could until my left arm wanted to bend and then went into my backswing. First I tried to tinker around to go all the way back. I kept at that for a few weeks going out almost every night but I added about ten strokes for nine holes. There was no improvement. Then, my uncle told me I needed to turn my hips more when I swing, so my swing got changed again for that. I added yet ANOTHER ten strokes on per nine holes. I used to golf around 50 on a good day on nine holes, now I can hardly break 70. I've gone about a full month now with crappy scores, and I'm upset I wasted away all of this good time for golfing trying to learn a new swing that obviously doesn't fit me. Do what you feel is natural and stick with it. I'm trying to refind my old swing again, but now I've spent so much time trying to do all these new swings that I can't do my old swing anymore either. I'm working on it still and hoping that I'm making progress.
  14. That's not put just directly at you, but everyone who has replied with the same preconceived notion on golfers who don't dress up spiffy to go golfing. Just because you're in the majority doesn't make you right. It's like if someone goes to church that's homeless and is wearing an old sleeveless tee shirt and jeans that are cut open and they tell him to get out because he's not dressed nice enough for church. It's completey wrong.
  15. I tee off with the 3W and on average I'd say I drive about 200 when I'm not shanking it :p My range is probably 185-215ish, 200 average
  16. Wrong answer for the first one :p I only wear mine because I get blisters if I don't. But regardless, I do think it's pretty unnecessary to take the time to take off your glove before you putt.
  17. Some of us don't own as you guys would say "proper golf attire" to be able to go through a whole week wearing nice clothes without doing laundry every night. I have a few nicer shirts and a nice pair of cargo shirts I would consider looking nice. I wear it when it's clean. When it's not, I just wear plain old shorts and an old sports tee shirt. Just because some people don't look the part doesn't mean they are bad people or bad golfers. Ridiculous thinking by anyone who thinks that. If you saw me on a golf course and would refuse to golf with me because I was wearing my favorite attire (old yellow baseball shirt with bright yellow shorts) and wouldn't want to golf with me because of how I looked than that's just sad. You need to quit golf and go find someone to help you mentally.
  18. Unless it helps your 'feel' as some people have said, there's no difference. Honestly, I don't care if I putt with or without a glove, I know it's not going in the hole unless I'm less than five feet out anyways lol... if Tiger was wearing a Nike hat during his round and took it off when he putted you would all probably think you should take off your hats when putting :p
  19. So I can't wear an old tee shirt and a pair of shorts to the golf course? Give me a break, when I voted 'bad for the game' in this poll I was completely amazed by how many people voted yes. Don't cut the game off to people. It's stupid.
  20. Hole #10 at our course. Monster par five with a huge drop down off of a cliff that always scares the heck out of me lol
  21. Break 100 by the end of the year. I wasn't that far off earlier but then I tinkered my swing and now I suck ... badly, I'd happy just to get back to my playing level of a month ago by the end of the year.
  22. Hm well you must be releasing your wrists too soon before impact or something, I'd just line up and go with whatever hits it straightest. I used to have to start with the ball at the toe of my driver because on my down swing the club would come out farther away from my body as compared to before I swang.
  23. Does school count? Haha :D
