I'll drink one beer as I start the round, but then switch to water after that. Couple of years ago when I started playing, I would drink a few more, but one round, I was playing particularly well (for me) and finished really badly. I attributed it to the beers, and decided then and there no more than one to 'loosen up'. Since then, my rounds have been more consistent and fun.

How many putts did Kevin miss by a hair? "If" he had made some of those, he would've been right there with them.

$3.50 for a small bucket. $5.00 for a large bucket. I bought a 'range card' which is 50 buckets for $125, so it comes to $2.50 a big bucket that way. LOVE THE RANGE!

I just want to say, Thank You very much!

I don't know mine, but I do know it would be high. Best score in nine holes was a 55. -

Have you hit with it since you found out it was counterfeit? If so, what were your distances? Might be an interesting mental experiment. -
Thanks, everyone. I understand about the golf pro analysis. I live in a very small town, and I had a lesson with the pro, but I don't think I like him. I probably should go ahead and give him another chance since it's only $35 for the lesson. The driver shots are fairly high. Not sure how high they should be. They shoot off pretty, and then seem to drop straight down. When I say straight, it isn't perfectly straight. I've only been on the range so far this year, but straight to me is right at what I'm aiming at to 10 or so yards right of what I'm aiming at, with a slight slice. So on the fairway to answer your question.

Anyone? Please?

Hello, all. I just started playing last year, and I haven't played a round since last season. I have been hitting the drive range a lot since the weather has gotten better. I've been fairly happy with the consistency of my irons. I don't have to have nearly as strong a grip as when I started, and the irons are heading 'straighter'. There is also some sort of gap differences from PW to 5 iron, which is good. My 7 iron distance is about 140. The problem is that my Driver isn't much more than that when I hit it straight. It looks good going up, but then just drops right around 150 yds. I've had one 'fundamentals' lesson, and considering another lesson. Any suggestions, please?

I don't know who wrote this, but it's good. In My Hand I Hold A Ball, White And Dimpled, Rather Small. Oh, How Bland It Does Appear, This Harmless Looking Little Sphere. By It's Size I Could Not Guess, The Awesome Strength It Does Possess. But Since I Fell Beneath Its Spell, I've Wandered Through The Fires Of Hell. My Life Has Not Been Quite The Same, Since I Chose To Play This Stupid Game. It Rules My Mind For Hours On End, A Fortune It Has Made Me Spend. It Has Made Me Yell, Curse And Cry, I Hate Myself And Want To Die. It Promises A Thing Called Par, If I Can Hit It Straight And Far. To Master Such A Tiny Ball, Should Not Be Very Hard At All. But My Desires The Ball Refuses, And Does Exactly As It Chooses. It Hooks And Slices, Dribbles And Dies, And Even Disappears Before My E yes. Often It Will Have A Whim, To Hit A Tree Or ! Take A Swim. With Miles Of Grass On Which To Land, It Finds A Tiny Patch Of Sand. Then Has Me Offering Up My Soul, If Only It Would Find The Hole. It's Made Me Whimper Like A Pup, And Swear That I Will Give It Up. And Take To Drink To Ease My Sorrow, But The Ball Knows ... I'll Be Back Tomorrow.

Thanks. I've found them both for the same price, which is why I'm asking.

Looking at both of these. Anybody have any comments about either, or both?

If you set the swing to Advanced Settings, it is very challenging, and slightly realistic. But I don't think it will improve your swing. You will have a great time playing, though, especially with friends.

Finally Fixed my slice for good

So, is the rotation a mental thing or a natural thing? In other words, will a proper set up and swing make it happen naturally, or do I have to also think about turning the forearms during the swing? -
I would have to say that Wrath of Kahn was far superior to Star Trek TMP. Empire Strikes Back was better than Star Wars. Predator 2 at least equal if not a bit better than Predator. Xmen 2 and Spiderman 2 were better than the firsts, only because they didn't have to screw around with character development for half the movie. Same can be said for Dark Knight. Fantastic Movie Goldfinger over Dr. No Superman 2 was as good if not better Jaws 2 wasn't too bad a sequel Lord of the Rings, for sure, but those stories were already set Road Warrior?

A few years ago, I had gotten a garage sell set of Sam Snead Wilson Irons. We rented a house on a cotton farm, and occasionally, I went out and hit balls into the field. Never had a lesson at that point, and really not hitting well at all, I did manage to pull the pure shot. It was a 7-iron. The sky was a bit overcast, and seeing that white ball going straight into the air with the dark backdrop, and not even feeling the contact, well folks, that's what made me want to get more serious about the game of golf.

I don't think I'm a 'big' hitter. I have putted pretty long occasionally, though.

Ha! Can't say that I've changed my prescription lately.

Something interesting I noticed my last time out. I just started really playing this summer, and have played 9-hole rounds about 8 times in the last few months before the sun started getting too low to try to get out after work. Anyhow, me and my buddy were out on the course a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed that the greens didn't seem nearly as far away as they had when I first would go out there. There are a couple of holes where you have to carry a creek. Last time out, I was looking at the fairway right across the creek, and thought it amazing how close it's getting now. Does this make sense to any of you? I just thought it was neat.

At the range, if I'm hitting them pretty straight, they are landing at about 175-200yds. When I clobber them, they go waay right. So I'm trying not to do that.

I had been wanting to play for a few years, but finally got a set of garage sell clubs and a lesson this year at 39 years old.
