1. Hello all. I'll keep it short. I have the titleist 915 driver, dropped my golf bag and cracked the shaft which eventually broke completely. My mistake completely. I would like to have a new shaft installed into the head but I'm unsure the best route to take. Due to my location I'm very limited on golf shops. There is a dicks about 40 miles away. Would I be just as well off to mail the head to Titleist, purchase a new shhaft, have them install and then send back? Thanks
2. Thabks for the words mvmac. Long road ahead indeed but I love golf, love practicing, playing, the serenity out on the course, list goes on. Good escape for me from the every day grind. Along with working on my address to the ball, I think I could do myself some good working toward keeping my lead arm locked, Notice in all my vids I flex the left elbow at the top of the swing. Get rid of that probably have more power and consistency
3. Got to talking with an older gentleman on the range last night that I often see coaching his granddaughter. He very bluntly offered me this, your swing is too long and your shoulder turn is too flat. I like blunt :). And I would have to agree those are two areas that could use attention. Plan on posting some updates tomm as I have lots of free time to practice this weekend and next week. Doesn't happen often so want to take advantage.
4. Tuesday deadlifts followed by SLDL's high reps. My hams are screaming right now but it hurts so good. Arms yesterday, back/shldrs today, quads tomorrow (lots of squats possibly some lunges). Squats are king

Golf dreams

I don't know why but I periodically have a golf dream and it always involves this scenario. I'm on the teebox and for some reason I never have enough backswing room, I dream that I'm moving my ball all over the box but can't ever find a spot that for whatever reason I'm comfortable that I have enough room to swing. Annoying as all get out.
6. Forgot to add sorry about low light. Working on improving camera angle, and inherited a casio ex-fh25 so in the process of figuring out optimal settings to film the swing. Filming from my galaxy s5 at the moment.
7. I've been Playing Golf for: Played in high school, started again three months ago after several year break My current handicap index or average score is: 85-95 My typical ball flight is: fairly straight, slight draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Fat/thin, pull hook [rule] Videos: Very excited to work toward a better more consistent swing with supervision ad instruction rather than just pounding bucket after bucket at the range. Signed up with Evolvr and recieved my first analysis yesterday. Very pleased with turnaround time and feedback. Working on address to begin, grip, ball slightly more forward, flare feet, slight forward shaft lean. Left hand grip was super weak, working toward a stronger grip. Although new and uncomfortable, I saw immediate positive results with a stronger grip. Immediate improvement top to bottom. Thanks all for looking.
8. That's really cool, I wasn't able to catch any of it. I've loved masters week since me and great grand dad used to watch it way back. I don't expect much out if Tiger but I'm looking forward to see how he bounces back
9. Got the blood flowing and worked up to a work set of 20 squats. Set of stiff leg deads and a set of walking lunges from one end of gym to the other. Although absolutely brutal im seeing remarkable strength and size gains with the high rep squat sets one day a week. I highly recommend them to everyone able, even if you simply start out with bodyweight or the bar only for resistance. Always focus on good form of course.
10. Ive been surffing this and another site a whole lot. Had new grips put on the clubs. However, ive been working on my putting stroke multiple times everyday hitting to bottlecap sized targets around the living room. Cant wait to get on the greens again because I feel like ive made improvements in my stroke in the last week or so around the house, with help from a thread on this site (do not accelerate through ball). Cant recommend that thread enough, improved my putti nf overnight and it just keeps getting better.
11. Was playing in a club tournament. Made birdie on the first hole and feeling really good. Nothing more than bragging rights on the line. On the tee box with driver on the par 5 second hole, swing outta my shoes and manage to stick the driver in the ground about 6 inches behind the ball and completely miss it while the other 3 guys stood amazed behind me.
12. Pursue your dreams kid, but always prioritize your education because not many make it to the tour. Also, enjoy the game. Worst case scenario you'll end up just like me, tom, dick, and harry, average golfers but we love the game and have lots of fun playing it. My education allows me to provide for and live comfortably with my little family while enjoying lots of rounds of golf each year, consequence of a handful of years putting in the effort with the books.
13. Back into the gym today after battling a wicked cold all weekend. Have deadlifted semi-sumo style for over a year now but the hips have been barking at me a bit so today I initiated deadlifting conventional again. Kept it light focusing on staying compact with good form. After warmup 135 x 8 185 x 8 205 x 8 225 x 8 Can really tell Im going to need a few weeks focusing on good form before it becomes routine and I can start pulling heavy again. But man, gotta love the squat and the dealift for overall gains. Thursday will be squats/lunges and some SLDL's. Cut it short because injust had to take advantage of the mild weather here in Missouri. Hour and a half on the range followed by 15 minutes of low/mid back stretches. Forecast for wed. is 60 degrees, Im certainly not going to let the day go to waste and I feel for you guys in the NE bracing for the big storm.
14. Like others said try a bunch out. I will tell you I was in yur shoes recently and demo'd then bought a callaeay x2 hot 3 hybrid. I now want the 4 aND the 5. Just outstanding, and by far my favorite and most consistent club in the bag. I now have a decent chance at the green from 190-210.
15. Hello all, love the site. Have been lurking for a while. Recently got back into golf this fall after about a 5 year break. Played in high school competitively and was a weekend warrior for a few years after and then didn't pick up a club for a long while. Like most of you, I love the game of golf, love being outside on the course, just a sense of freedom. Love the ups and downs of the game but try to be sure to have fun no matter how my swing is for the day. I've recently gotten serious about improving. Researche'd extensively reading iron sets as I was looking to upgrade, and caught a deal on a like new set of callaway apex irons last week. I mostly would like to blame the Indian and not the arrow, but I'm just hitting my irons very poor and inconsistent right now. Recently traded a buddy of mine some fishing gear for a casio ex-fh25 camera so I intend to educate myself on how to use it, get up a my swing thread, become active on these forums, and really go to work on creating a more sound and consistent golf swing. Progress not perfection. It takes work and I really don't feel like I'm gaining much from my practice sessions at the moment because I'm way out of touch with the fundementals of the swing and I feel posting a my swing thread and getting some sort of direction is a great first start. Thanks again folks, look forward to talking golf and whatever else with all of you!!
