  2. Naw, methinks the worst would be aspirin or cold medicine
  3. I think the short answer is "not immediately, if at all". Once he finishes with the bad precedents of bad bailouts, let's see what his tax and spend policies are
  4. Happier than a pig in %$@^, usually can't think of anything else I'd rather do
  5. I guess firstly, do your wedges fit you? ie are they too flat or too short? Next to the putter, these are the most important clubs in the bag to get right. A good teaching pro or clubfitter can help there, you can even do it yourself with some masking tape and a piece of thin plywood. Without seeing your swing, sounds like you are scared of the shot and not trusting the ball and club to do its work, like you are trying to finesse it. I would suggest that you get used to a follow through the same height as the backswing, eg belt to belt, shoulder to shoulder, etc. And make absolutely sure that you accelerate or keep constant the club through the ball. Like a sand shot, do not decelerate, that is the instant killer of a wedge shot. Hit the ball clean, then take the divot, the bounce of the club should stop you from digging too much. With practice, you can overcome the fears. Soon you will have a whole bunch of different shots in your bag of tricks for
  6. For medium tempo, smooth swinger, I have the stiff versions in both my driver and 3 wood. Similar to the NVS.
  7. Titty 755's, just love them!
  8. I'll take Palin anyday Since Alaska is not part of Canada and the democrats won't allow drilling in ANWR (or anywhere else for that matter) and the demos need $ for their programs and the US deficit is a killer, maybe the US would entertain offers to sell Alaska to Canada?
  9. Hi all: I loved the bantering back and forth between NM Golf and Chili Dipper; outstanding, gentlemen! By the way, since a Democrat will now control the White House, will all of those Hollywood celebrities who moved to Canada 4 years ago because Bush won move back to the USA? Also, how many of them actually moved??? (sorry, I just couldn't resist)
  10. I just a dumb Canuck looking at this thread and got quite a few snickers. As an outsider watching the election fun from a distance (notwithstanding the fact that my wife is an American and has a big interest in this stuff), I love the lies, slander, mudslinging, slime, etc. that is going on, esp. in the media (the New York Times is so unbiased that it makes Pravda read like a Dr. Seuss book and the LA Times is Democrat-leaning but bashes Nancy Pelosi over the head occasionally). I would love to see Keith Olbermann and Sean Hannity in a steel cage match, but I digress. You get what you wish for, my feeling is that Pelosi and Congress are the real problem, not Obama or McCain. Bush's economic policies did not cause meltdowns, Congress with their inaction and lack of oversight did. My feeling is that with Obama, you'd better hang on to your wallets. Any sort of "redistribution" or "reallocation" of wealth spells socialist in my book and will take away incentive. That's eventually why the Soviet Union collapsed. I don't believe that McCain will follow Bush's economic policies, if he's elected, Pelosi and Congress will block him on everything anyway. If Obama is elected, look out. As a Canadian, yes, I have access to "free, universal health care". Sounds sexy, until you get sick or need to have something done. Health care spending is out of control up here and consumes at least 45% of our budgets. That's why Canadian taxes are so high. And that's why we pay approximately 20% more for gasoline vs. the US. If you are complaining about your taxes now and if you vote in Obama, you ain't seen nothing yet. If you think that Obama will cut your taxes, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale. The repeated mantra of "change, change, change" has a brainwashing effect. I generally feel that the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Something tells me that I would rather take the chance on a retired Vietman vet fighter pilot who gave his soul for his country as opposed to a rookie senator whose sole experience is as a social worker, it doesn't matter that his background is unquantifiable. Go ahead and flame me if you want, I could have a lot of fun with this!
  11. Have the stiff version in my 906F4; I have a smooth medium tempo; the shaft gives a nice mid to mid-high launch without ballooning; I love that shaft and that club
  12. I like my D2, see no reason to switch right now
  13. Could be one or all of - shaft, driver head design, driver loft, swing path. Which of their balls did they suggest for you?
  14. For me, usually starts with some sort of a brain cramp. Then I would typically end up trying to rush my next shot because then I get paranoid about falling behind, which results in a bad shot, then rushing to keep up results in another bad shot............. Just lack of concentration
  15. See this link for a full description of the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craps Unfortunately, I don't have any experience of craps at bachelor parties
  16. Good advice!
  17. I also recommend that book, one of the best ever written on the subject
  18. Corporate Secretary
