  1. Footjoy has some amazing ones as well. And not I have never had any shoes leak air, though I have thought of it being possible on multiple occasions. These Ecco's (if willing to overlook teh price) are very nice. A beautiful finish, and superior comfort. http://www.golfsmith.com/products/29.../Coffee/Coffee
  2. Anyone interested in a laugh, look up "Rick Mercer and talking to americans". I saw this in a business class, and was flabbergasted.
  3. Let, me tell you something. When you can hit it as long as Anthony Kim or Tiger Woods, you wont need to work too much on power. the end game is accuracy but learning with power has it's advantages aswell.
  4. Decline oblique rotations are great aswell. It emulates the movement of the swing and will help strengthen your core.
  5. Play with your gaps until you find the proper spacing. Once you have that your arsenal will have more than doubled in size (being able to choose the right club for the right situation is key).
  6. Shaft flex is more of what is comfortable to play with, and what feels right. with rough numbers it seems though Stiff should be fine, however only a club fitter could really make an accurate assessment.
  7. Overall the G10 has a nice low ball flight, but if u can controll the TM with the longer shafts you should notice a difference in your driving distances with them.
  8. There isnt much of a difference distance-wise but durability is the major change. They made the new 09's to better withstand the vicious attacks of the SM vokeys and those other nasty wedges.
  9. If you want the best, the balls getting eaten is the price you will have to pay. It's not too bad unless you take a full swing and make great contact. I am a sweeper so I find that I dont need to worry about it as much.
  10. I have an idea, since you say you play your irons well, use your strength's. Try larger irons, 2 and 3 irons, and possibly a 1. A 1 irons is VERY long if you can hit it, try that and see what happens
  11. He never uses any puncuation, you ahve to put your own in. It reminds me of a sudoku.
  12. A friend of mine is a go-hard cyclist, he tries to get 100km/day in every other day. on his off days, he will do sprints. It blows my mind, his regime.
  13. I have to throw something out there. Now for whatever reason I am messed up when it comes to sports. I am usually at the extreme end of the spectrum. In football I am pinpoint accurate a 50+ yards, yet I could hit a brick wall 5 feet in front of me(quarterback). In hockey, my slapshot is much more accurate than a wrist shot. With that said, I prefer irons with small heads, not necessarily smaller sweet spots, just a smaller head. I find I hit them better and more consistantly . This one hurts my head too. It all comes down to your comfort zone, finding it is more important than what someone says you should be playing.
  14. I like the look of the TP irons, I dont have any problem with them. They might not look as sexy as a blade, buts it's good for what it is. The TP have nice feedback, and performance but I prefer the AP2's or the MP 52's.
  15. I like the players club, which is not something i will be debating here but, I find the X-20 tours ever so slightly more forgiving, than the x-22 tours. I would rate the x-20 tours as a transition club from GI to Players CB. The new burners are very nice aswell. The non-tour X22's are amazing clubs, amazing all-around forgiveness.
  16. Chances are since your less than a 4 handicap you should be fine. With the added distance you may find yourself feeling the need to really lean into your shots, but this may hurt you in the end. Just play a smart game, definitly brush up on your long irons and woods as they may be crucial.
  17. My irons are a players CB and I like it that way. As you can tell by my handi, I should be playing double-triple-Super-ultra GI's. Anyway you will get used to it and you will find that you will get better and better. Play the equipment that feels best in your hand. FYI, my mishits are not usually from a toe hit of a heel shot, they are from coming in fat, or topping, or over working the ball.
  18. I dont think iron distance has much correlation to driver distance. I average about 145 yards with my PW. That is beastly long, my 7 iron is around 170-175. My driver is only 260 with a comfortable shot.
  19. Ya, I missed that aswell, I was referring to the x-20 tour vs. the x-22 tour. To the OP, with regards to the non-tour irons, I believe the x-22 are more forgiving.
  20. Actually I think the x20's are more forgiving, they are slightly more of a GI, then a true players iron. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  21. I read that the difference between forged and cast clubs is very negligible, assuming of course the same metal is being used and the head properties are similar. From what I read when the pros were asked to demo the two, side by side with no markings indicating which was which, less than 60% could tell the difference, and of that 60%, I believe it was around 70% who said either would do,or they did not have a preference.
  22. I find a mallet does most of the work for you. It naturally swings forward and helps maintain that line.
  23. The TB has a longer shaft, so in theory it should be slightly longer, yet harder to control. I really like the TB. I believe the G10 is more forgiving though. Try the 09 burner if you wanted more forgiveness from TM.
  24. I ahve trouble hitting my 3I and 4I, so I am looking for a hybrid to cover that gap, BUT I will only get rid of my 3I. I use my 4I for long punch shots, that's all I can do with it. What degree is best for the 3-4 gap?
