  1. Welcome! Lived in Augusta for 7 years. You ever get over that way? In Korea for a year, but hoping to head back on return stateside.
  2. Welcome! I lived in Augusta for 7 years and still own a house there. My wife is actually still there teaching while I am stationed in Korea for a year. Hoping to get back next April. Had a streak of attending the Masters on Sunday 3 years in a row, so I need to start over, lol.
  3. What part of GA? I lived in Augusta for 7 years while stationed at Fort Gordon. Currently in Korea for a year, so hopefully I can make my way back. No better place to be if interested in golf. Todd
  4. I actually enjoyed the episode. I'm stationed in Korea, away from my family so i pass the time with TV and movies, lol. I do get out and hit the driving range and virtual golf simulator when I can to work on mechanics. Haven't found any playing partners yet, but am looking to hit the actual course up when I do.
  5. I have everything Callaway, from the Ft-IQ driver down to the gap wedge. I play Callaway balls, and even have a Callaway staff bag. I, however, will not part with my Scotty Cameron putter!
  6. Messy! Now you have to clean tea out from between the keys!!!
  7. I remember reading an article on Tiger's putter. He has played with that one since before he turned pro if I remember right. It is also the only club in his bag that he is not paid for.
  8. My pleasure. It made the event more enjoyable seeing you and your son there and seeing his whole reaction. I'm sure the memories will last a lifetime.

    "Get in the hole"

Could be worse. You could have drunken idiots jumping into sand traps and making "sand angels" just like on 17 yesterday when Tiger and Phil were on the green. Needless to say, he was swarmed, handcuffed, and escorted off the premises and told never to come back again.
  10. Yep, was there in person!!
  11. It was an awesome day. I was so close to Tiger on one hole where he hit it left. I am thinking seven maybe. I was just outside the rope as he was walking toward his approach shot. Quite literally, we were side by side walking for about 50 yards with only about 3 feet separating us. I also saw his eagle on 8 and his approach to 1's green from "BFE" went somewhat slightly right over my head. It was an awesome day to say the least.
  12. I actually started off as a single on Tuesday, and due to course backups up ahead, got stacked at the 6th tee box while the twosome ahead of me waited to tee off. They invited me to join them and we had a great rest of the round. Always nice to meet new people. Well, that is, the ones that are a pleasure to play with. Haven't been unlucky yet.
  13. Actualy, it's just one shirt. You're not the only one that made that mistake though.
  14. I liked Tiger's shirt personally. What makes me cringe is people wearing white belts with black pants and shirts, aka Phil. Maybe if one or the other wasn't black, it could blend better.
  15. Here are a few pics from Monday
  16. I'm working the lottery we have here every year on post. We generally get 100 four day badges and have people register for whichever round they want. Frist 100 winners each day pay $50 and go for the day, and bring badge back by 9 pm. In fact, I just had to go thru all 100 and put them in order. Talk about power at your fingertips!!!
  17. Just got back from Boo's clinic here at Gordon Lakes. I can honestly say that he is one of the nicest, most down to earth people that you will ever meet. It was such a pleasure meeting him, and just the way he expressed his gratitude to the military would bring a tear to your eye. He hit some awesome shots, and was as funny as most comics you see. He could have a second career doing that! One of his first comments was about the weather. He said, and I quote, "Little chilly out here today. Good weather for some turkey huntin'." Truly a class act bar none!
  18. I think my funniest was when Dub and I were in the woods on #1 Island here at Gordon Lakes, and he had to do a dance after one of my balls hit a tree and headed back his direction. Much love for ya buddy!!!
  19. Man! I need to watch the news more!!!
  20. Longhorn Steakhouse is also a good place to eat! It is located a little further down Washington Rd, on the right.
  21. Awesome commercial. Love Boo's accent!
  22. I also love "Follow the Roar". I have it on my shelf at home. Bob Smiley, the author, is a close friend of my pastor, Kevin Steele. You actually read about my church, National Hills Baptist in the book. Mr. Smiley also sent our church 4 signed copies.
  23. Bethpage Black, Pinehurst #2, Harbour Town, Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines Btw, I feel that every diehard golfer needs to make a trip to The Old Course at St. Andrews at least once in their life if possible!
  24. Payne Stewart: The Authorized Biography The one his wife Tracey wrote with Ken Abraham
  25. How about the gold US dollar coin?
