My local deal is pretty good. With a $75 yearly pass I can play about 12 courses for $20 walking, $31 riding...

I used intelligolf for a while but I'm also a mac user and got too irritated having to power up a windoze peecee POS to take advantage of it. I'm writing my own software which will be available online soon, and free.

As a 2 I get clocked by handicappers.. For the last couple of years I'm much more happy only entering in tourneys or matches which are GROSS ONLY. If I lose then fine but I'm not going to to give a 24 handicap 2 strokes on a par 5 and have to eagle the damn thing to tie his par.

As a member of 3 clubs who have match play there are a couple of thoughts I have. 1. One club has a 2pm start time on the final day the match is to be played. If you and your opponent never set up a time you show up at 2pm the last day. By 2:15-2:30 of your opponent doesn't show you win by default. 2. The club in which I'm president will be DQing BOTH players in matches that do not end on the date specified. It's the only way to make sure things finish on time and we send a winner to the local tournament of champs. I would have told the dude that we play on the date specified or he forfeits.

She's only carrying 11 clubs in the bag.

I'm not in one, I'm in three. I have lots of GREAT friends and tons of great experiences with my buddies from my leagues.

Golf is 90% mental, and the other 10% is just in your head...

I have the gitters big time in tournaments. The problem is I KNOW I'm capable of good golf and I want it SO bad that I get really intense. On shots that are normally cake for me, like say a 3 foot putt, I'm very nervous. The more times you go through it and experience it the easier it gets.

Every couple of months I go through about a 2 week period of INSANE driving. I'm talking 340-350 with NO thought at all. Then suddenly it disappears back to 280-300. It's either timing or hitting it RIGHT on the sweet spot. I'd love to bottle that and do it all year.

It was a mistake to get rid of my old callaway warbirds! But really, the best 3w I've hit is an r7 TP.

I thought that was a joke for a sec. ProV7??? WTF? That's totally stupid. "ProV" has almost become a standard golf term. "Bob, did you find your Nike in there?" bob: "Nope but I found a ProV!!!" I'm always saying, "well it was a good round but I lost two ProV's today".... I'd go with "ProV" and "ProX"

Had mr. clueless last week. He wanted IN on our bets. He was an idiot. He walked in everyone's lines. He would move around right behind you while you were putting or hitting. And the dumbest thing....he was marking his ball on the FRINGE.

Think they'll set the course up easier for her to make the cut? Then again if it's easier the men will kill it and she'll still be at a disadvantage... She doesn't break 150.

I always play exactly to the rules, provided I know what they are in any situation. If I don't know I'll play two balls and look it up later.

Both balls feel the same to me off the driver. Off the irons I like the feel of the black. I've had some monster spin with the red so far. Flew over a green and spun it back onto the green once. And hit the middle of the green and spun it sideways off the green. If the Black is their answer to a V1x (which I can't play because it's too hard), then I like it much better in comparison. They're both pretty damn long too. Hit a couple 330ish.

I've been trying to practice 4 times/week but it's murder on my elbows. I'm starting to get golfer's elbow. It is not fun.

The point is that I've never even sniffed a 67. If I did manage to shoot -5 on the front, which I've done before, I'd be so racked mentally I'd shoot +5 or more on the back. Net score 72 or higher, 5 shots higher than a 67 posted to my hcp.

Noticed a definite speed increase since the change, especially in the forum.
