What's the point in playing a Pro V?
TaylorMadeMark replied to James_Black's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I LOVE the pro v1. I used to think that there was no way a ball was going to make any noticeable difference in my game untill I won a box of pro v1's in a raffle. The ball alone took atleast 3 strokes off my round easy. My drives are straighter, I can work the ball like I want to, chipping is so much easier to control distance and it feels great off the putter face other balls feel real hard and klinky. I will never go back to a cheap ball it's just alot more fun when the ball is right next to the flag and nearly sitting in it's own ball mark on the green. -
Thanks for the help.

This is a great topic!! I completely agree I have a buddy I play with and it's always something new with him. The guy barley shots in the 90's and he's always telling me he's gonna draw the ball around the dogleg or try the new stance he learned on the golf channel the night before then he swings an smashes the club on the ground hardly hitting the ball and always has some stupid excuse. Now to be honest I am a very competive person and that's part of the reason I love golf the only person/thing to blame is myself and I do get a little hard on myself sometimes but keep it to myself for the most part.

I third that I use the same thing new decade multicompound and I absolutly love them I just got new irons and sprung for the grips from the factory cause I just don't want to use anythig else. They do make a huge difference. -

Is it okay to do the Happy Gilmore?
TaylorMadeMark replied to live4u120's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
You really need to lighten up buddy. No one is here talking about disrespecting the game, were not talking about anyone tearing up the course, being loud or disrespectful in any way someone taking a step or two before their swing is not going to bother anyone if he was screaming YEEEE HAYYY while he was doing it then I would understand but he's not so take it easy. -

Hilarious!! Tiger does throw his club and act like a baby! -

Wow you must be a blast to play a round with.. Back to the fun topic everyone tries the Happy Gilmore as for me I drive the ball great with my normal swing and when I try that I am horrible LOL but hey if it works for you have at it and enjoy the game I say! -
I play the regular R7's and absolutly love therm. They have a great feel, still a bit forgiving and you can still work the ball when you want to.. Also the nev Clevelands look pretty cool might be worth checking out.

I had a similar issue I went from 4 iron to 3 wood I just picked up a 19* hybrid and it has helped fill the gap greatly I have played 3 rounds with it in my bag and 200-230 shots its dead on and i'm hitting more par 5's in two even when playing the 3 wood off the tee and those long par 3's are alot easier. I never hit the Titleist but picked a barley used Tour burner style rescue on line really cheap and its awsome!

Tiger...not the first golfer with problems...give it a break..
TaylorMadeMark replied to juanrjackson's topic in Tour Talk
Let stop being ridiculious. If everyone would live their own lives and not try to live through celeberities silly conversations like this wouldnt even take place. Tiger is a golfer you watch on TV he's not your friend talking about if you can or cant forgive him is just ridiculious. I am not condoning what Tiger did I'm just saying I dont care what he does off the course, to be honest I'm not even a Tiger fan so I dont really care what he does on the course I'm just saying you watch him play golf stop acting like this story affects you personally. I agree give it a break. -
Tiger throws driver into gallery in disgust....
TaylorMadeMark replied to mn723's topic in Tour Talk
I am so happy to see people finally reacting to the exact reasons I am NOT a Tiger fan. His attitude towards fans and othe competetors is just not acceptable. If it were not for the fans Tiger would just be another club pro somewhere by now. I dont hate Tiger's game I truly respect how great of a golfer he is, but as a person he gets an F in my book! -

07' Taylormade Burner Driver?
TaylorMadeMark replied to 18 Birdies's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Dont quote me im not 100% sure but I belive a draw is about 2 degrees closed I know its not much difference but I belive the driver is closed a degree just to be a bit more forgiving to amatures to help with the left to right slice or as us amateurs call it " fade " lol.. -
Rusted Titleist Vokey
TaylorMadeMark replied to Supermanwoot's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Jeez people are kinda stiff. lol. Hey to keep it short and simple its a great club and the rust is part of the appeal just take care of the club like any other and have fun playing!! -
I have a 16g iPhone and from time to time I'll listen to some tunes on the range it helps me tune out the kids next to me sometimes hitting the ball like happy gilmore and focus more on my game. All I do with the ear phones is put the cord inside my shirt and it never gets in my way.

Which Callaway X-Forged wedge?
TaylorMadeMark replied to glueguy's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I personally think a 56* would be beneficial I play 4 wedges myself 48*, 52*, 56*, and 60* and my wedges are truly my scoring clubs. I am actually in the market myself for a new wedge and have been researching the Callaway x-forged wedges and from what I've heard and from demoing the club I defiantly think it is going to be the next club in my bag, O and if you fine them for 60$ let me know where you get it from cause there about 119$ online almost everywhere I look.. Also don't forget to consider the bounce degree when you pick out your new wedge. Good luck... -
What do you think of people with headcovers carried by pros?
TaylorMadeMark replied to Msokol13's topic in Golf Talk
Have to agree with pretty much everyone I definatly wouldn't rock a pro's head cover. I do however have a Tampa Bay Bucs Captin fear one on my driver, its pretty sweet. -

Will an indoor practice green help?
TaylorMadeMark replied to Bullitt5339's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I completely agree. I was a pretty bad putter and now its one of the strongest parts of my game I rarely 3 put anymore. I practice on carpet in my house all the time and I think it really doesn't matter if your on real grass or not its all about the speed for me, if you put a target on the floor and practice getting the ball to it it helps a great deal with your putting. What I usually do is hit a ball in the middle of the room and try to hit puts to that ball. and it will help when you hit the practice green before a round to dial in your speed consistently, it did for me.. As for the green in your office I think it will be great for your game.. Good luck.. -
Got my first eagle!! Par 4 335yards, started out by hitting a great drive about 310-315. Had about 20-30 to the hole, took out the 56* hit a great chip that landed about 10 feet short bounced twice to about a foot or so past the hole bit and spun right back into the hole was pretty sweet!! First eagle I was super stoked!
