  1. I actually saw McDowell walk towards DJ after the tournament. DJ put up his hand to shake hands, then McDowell just gave him a smirk and replied "Sorry, I don´t shake hands with people that can´t break 80" and kept walking off. True story.
  2. I´d say 90% of the guys on tour are not even athletes. Not even Tiger. Tiger always got picked last when him and his buddies played basketball because he couldn´t even do a lay up. Most of them are simply average joes that got dropped off at the golf course by their rich parents when they were 3 years old and worked together with a good instructor and practiced 10+ hours a day.
  3. I love how everyone is saying Tiger looks like a bodybuilder and is big because he´s been working out for 10+ years now. The funny thing is that your average joe with an average build can get into the same shape that tiger is within 3 months of working out with a good diet and workout plan.
  4. Couple of reasons. Accuracy and putting the ball in the right spot off the tee is Tiger´s no1 concern. Thus he rarely goes all out on his shots. The main reason why he doesn´t hit it as far anymore is because he is hitting down on the ball while jb and bubba are hitting up on it. He does this because it keeps the ballflight down and the ball curves less, but he sacrifices quite a bit of distance. Furthermore Tiger plays the highest spinning ball on tour. Tiger isn´t a pure power player anymore like he was in 2000. He is more of a strategist now instead of playing the bomb and gauge game. Trust me, if he wanted to he could hit it at least as far as bubba or jb.
  5. Thanks guys. Well, I´ve changed a couple things in my backswing. In the old vid I was taking it too far to the inside and then lifted it up. I also didn´t ristrict my hips. Here is my newer swing:
  6. I actually agree with you about the dip in my swing. I just gotta get some advice on how to reduce it.
  7. Seems like Tiger Woods is gonna win the "Player of the year" award.
  8. It's funny, everytime I hit a ball in front of a camera my swing looks extremely flat and under the plane at the top. Yet, when I ask my buddies to check my position at the top when I hit a ball I'm always right on plane. Same thing when I practice in front of a mirror. I'm always right on plane. What the hell is going on? I don't know if it's me or if it's the camera.
  9. I don't like him. He's one of those super boring players without a personality.
  10. I'm 20. I'm not working atm. I got a couple months off and then I start the PGA/PGM program so that I can start playing on the EPD tour.
  11. This is pretty much my daily routine: 6am-9am chipping and putting 10am-4pm hit wedges inside 100 yards 4pm-6pm play on the course 7pm-8pm bunker 8pm - 9pm hit balls with woods, long irons, mid irons
  12. Nothing new. Nobody said if you can shoot in the low 70s you'll make it on the pga tour. If you put in 8+ hours of practice everyday, have sports psychologists, swing coaches, short game coaches, fitness coaches, nutritionists, a caddie and you don't break 70 on relatively easy courses you are going to be disappointed.
  13. Are you kidding me? The fastest long drive guys in the world swing the club at a legit 150mph. When they swing out of their shoes Stenson swings it at about 125mph, quiros at 135mph and tiger at 130mph. Take a look at this kid. He's the Tiger Woods of long drive:
  14. So is hinge and hold pretty much keeping your weight a little bit more on your front foot, then taking it back with the hands and then rotating your chest on the downswing?
  15. The image you get of tour pros on tv is kinda messed up. There are always pros in the tournaments that hit shanks, chunks, blade shots etc... Of course they don't show that on tv so that the player can save face. They usually only show good shots so the viewers automatically think every tour pro hits it to 2 feet from 150 yards or holing 20 foot putts are routine for the pros. I'm not saying that the pros aren't good, they are exceptionally good, but they are still human and hit a lot of bad shots. However their bad shots are still good shots compared to your average amateur.
  16. Thanks. I actually play a fade on every shot. My miss is that it sometimes fades too much.
  17. Still amateur. I'm competing soon though on the GS tour to get my feet wet.
  18. I'm afraid to ask, but what is so horrible about my impact position?
  19. Well, that 6 iron I hit in the vids carried about 220 yards. Let's see a vid of your swing.
  20. Thanks. I think it varies from player to player. There is no right or wrong. Take a look at how long Ernie stands over the ball.
  21. By "I can physically do what tiger can" I'm talking about flexibility and having the ability to generate as much power as him. But yeah, thanks. Good luck breaking 80.
  22. Yes, you are right. I forgot that golf is not about score. Golf is simply about having a technically perfect swing that is nice to look at. That's why all the 100s of high school kids can beat the crap out of guys like Jim Furyk, Paul Goydos, Ray Floyd, Lee Trevino etc... you betcha. ....
  23. Hmm... interesting. Reminds me of this one time when I ate bacon.
