I also hate it when I play by myself and end up playing with someone else. I tell them that I am not that good, will probably shoot 90+. If they want to still play together we do. There have been times when I play with someone else that just joins in that I quit after 9, throw the clubs in the back of the truck and head for the coffee shop. Doesn't matter how I am playing, but some people can be fun and relaxing to play with but some people are just assholes and I don't want to play with them, but don't find out that they are an asshole until you have started playing with them...

You can show all the "advanced metrics" you want, but they do not show anything about preparation for the big games. You have 19 days to manipulate and study your "advanced metrics". Statistics show the past....not necessarily a prediction of the future. So much can happen once the ball is teed up and play starts. This is different because it is "one and done". I never said Clemson should be #1....I just said that I think Clemson is the "best" team. So, if you had your choice, everyone would rather play Oklahoma first and not Clemson. Why? Because Clemson is a good team and can beat any of the other 3 teams... Now, a little switch....looking at the bowl games you have Michigan vs Alabama...will Harbaugh be coaching Michigan during that bowl game or will he take another job in the NFL, like with Carolina Panthers. Harbaugh has to know that he will never beat Ohio State and it is only a matter of a short time before all at Michigan understand this and give Harbaugh a ride out of town....Will Alabama show up or kick the can because they are not playing on the "big stage"?

No....I just made the claim like everyone else...a hunch, a feeling, an examination of how close these teams are...the fact that Clemson has been there, their players and coaches have been there. Just wait til the end and we will see. Who knows what factors could pop up. What if one of the teams loses their QB early in the first game on the 28th, Don’ get your panties in a wad, this is all conjecture, back and forth banter, and poking and provoking.

How does this weight difference affect the playability of the golf balls? What might you attribute the weight loss to? Could the loss of weight affect the density of the inner or outer portions of the golf ball?

Shot an 87. 43 on front and 44 on back...

Bought 2 dozen Srixon Q Star Tour balls and have played 2 rounds with them. Last Friday shot a 78 and this morning shot a 77. This morning shot a 43/44, made 5 pars. The ball felt pretty good off the driver, a little longer, and performed pretty good in cooler and breezy conditions. Felt pretty good off the putter and I seemed to putt pretty good with them. These balls were at a good price of $19.99 a dozen...Hoping to play again this week an getting same results.

So far we have Coaching vacancies at Arkansas, Missouri, Rutgers, Ole Miss, Florida State, Boston College, South Florida, USC, UTSA..... Just looking at Ole Miss, I think with their QB and how young they were (there is some talent there, just needs to be coached) that they are gonna look for some one like Joe Brady (LSU Asst,) and maybe Kevin Napier (Louisiana Lafayette) that can bring some offensive excitement to them and begin to recruit some real talent at the skill positions that want to play in that high powered type offense. Heard that Arkansas was wooing Lane Kiffin. Think about the Boston College job and who you have to play on that side of the ACC every year....gonna be hard to win 7 games with that schedule, but then maybe 7 wins is acceptable. Who do you see filling some of these positions that are open? How does the guy at Michigan State stay there only being a relevant team 1 of the last 10 years...?

I do agree that the Velocity is probably overpriced. Not sure I will go back to it but need to find a ball that is a bit firmer. I seemed to hit it ok but didn’t like the way it felt on full shots off the irons. I don’t loose a lot of balls (2 or 3 a round) but just don’t want to spend $45 for a dozen balls. I’m gonna be 71 in a couple of months but still hit the ball decent. If I practiced and played more could probably get better. I play once a week and maybe go to the range 1 time a month. It’s not that I don’t want to play or practice more it is just that available course is not real close ...not excuse, just fact.

In August I was given a box of Titliest Velocity balls. I played 3 rounds with them and shot 85, 88, and 87. The previous rounds played were played with Wilson Duo Soft and never broke 90. The rounds since have been played with Wilson Duo Soft and have not broken 90. Anyone else ever experience anything like this?

Top 4 do not change this week...Oregon is a bye bye, BAMA stays at 5, and who cares about the rest of them. Big things could happen this week though. OSU and Michigan (upset in the making), LSU better not sleep on A&M, Georgia could not show up and still beat Ga Tech, and BAMA better come to play or War Eagles will end their season.

A lot of what if's, but the biggest is if Georgia beats LSU, you likely end up with Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, and LSU as your top 4. I don't think OSU or Clemson will lose again until the playoffs. Now, If LSU beats Georgia and BAMA beats Auburn, You will see it with LSU, OSU, Clemson, and BAMA as the top 4 teams. Georgia will not make it with 2 loses. If BAMA loses to Auburn, then you have Oregon in as the 4th team. Some crazy stuff could happen, but we will all have a clear picture in about 3 weeks...

Well, wouldn't that be pretty much true in everything...However, I think South Carolina beat Georgia, and that one event would make your general statement false....Georgia probably does have faster, stronger and more skilled players than South Carolina....and yes, better coaches help also. So, which team in the top 4 is better than the others, has faster, stronger and more skilled players? On any given day, I don't think there is an ass hairs difference between the top 4..

Who does Clemson have to play to get into the playoff? Who does Ohio State have to play to get into the playoff? I think Georgia and LSU would rather play either of those two than having to play each other. The 4 best teams right now are: Ohio State Clemson LSU Georgia I hesitate to put Georgia in the mix, but they are there. Anyone else is a distant 5th or 6th that won't beat any of the top 4. You can throw out all the stats and numbers because each team will have a month to prepare, get back some injured players, and in many ways be a different team. One thing I believe is a given....Your defense will not win any of these games for you (that is why Georgia can't win it all with a pretty good D but their Offense is just not gonna put up enough points to beat the high octane Offenses they would face)....the difference between these teams may just come down to special teams. A dropped punt, a missed FG, a poor punt...a long drive at end of game against any opponents gassed D line to win 51-49.... Oregon, Utah, and BAMA just don't belong in the discussion.... Anyhow, this is all speculation and prejudicial viewpoints....we'll see in a few more weeks who gets ranked what and why...

Cancelled 7AM tee time this morning. Cold and breezy but playable, except we have had a little over 2” of rain in last couple of days. Didn’t feel like sloshing around in the Damp and mud and it was cart path only. No roll on shots, so will try to play Monday.
