  1. Yea, you always see people playing the major brands. I am guilty of it myself. However as you can see from signature, my wedges are not from a mainstream company. I am starting drift over to Japanese made clubs. All of our mainstream clubs are manufactured in 1 of 3 factory's in China. The Japanese clubs are made of better quality metals and their forgings can't be matched. Next time you want to buy a set of clubs, then look at compan'y like Epon, Miura, Royal Collection, Gold's Factory,Nakashima and KZG. Everyone including myself, needs to stop paying for these mainstream companies advertising costs.
  2. A ot of people haven't because WE the average golfer, hit clubs that were cast or forged in China. Those clubs were forged in Japan. Anyone who thinks their Mizuno's, Titliest, Callaways or Nike's are the best feeling clubs then you obviously never hit a club forged in Japan.
  3. I'm not going to sit here and tell you their the best like most people will. I believe everything is personal opinion but do yourself a favor while shopping for clubs and hit the Nike VR Splitbacks. They are forged, are very workable and surprisingly very forgiving. While your at it hit the VR blades too. I just felt no need to go with the blades since the Splitbacks felt just as good with some added forgiveness however I was very close to going with 3-6 in the Splitbacks and 7-PW in the blades. Also give the Mizuno MP 52's or 57's and Titleist AP-2's. All of them are workable and feel good with some added forgiveness. I went back and forth between all of these clubs for 2 months but settled on the Nike VR's. In my opinion they felt the best and they were defiantly the most workable.
  4. If you get it on ebay, just ask the seller. If you order it through a website it will usually have that information under the club description. If not then either call or email the company your thinking about buying it from and ask them.
  5. Hey guys, I am really big on everything in my bag matching and you will not find any other colors besides black, white and silver on it. I am having the hardest time finding a putter cover I like. I am looking for a blade style, preferably leather, either black and white or all black. It is a Nike putter so I would love to find that rare all black cover with a single white check on it. If I can't find it I would preferably not want another companies cover on my Nike putter. Could you guys please keep an eye out for me? Much appreciated

  7. For starters, go with a 10.5 or and 11 degree driver. I see your using a 9.5 right now so that could be one of the problems. I would also look for drivers with shafts on the lighter side, around 60 grams. That's basically all the info I can give and that recipe should defiantly raise your trajectory.
  8. I new Nike Tour balls perform a lot better than there predecessors. Seems like with the Tour D, they took all the performance of the ONE Platinum but built so you don't need Tiger swing speeds in order for it to perform.
  9. If you would like to get your trajectory higher then I can honestly say a Taylormade burner get's the ball up high. So much so that I had to go with the tour version and put a 75 gram X-Stiff shaft made for lowering your trajectory. If your swing speed is less than 105, you won't have any problem ballooning the ball like I did. The reason why the Burner raises trajectory is because of the stock 55 gram shaft and it's low kick point. Try it out and see what it does for your ball flight.
  10. Golf Warehouse releases list of there top 10 selling golf clubs by category for 2008. There data was based on 50,000 customers. I would assume the national sales wouldn't be much different. 11. An article that confirms Taylormade having the #1 driver - http://www.golfbusinesswire.com/releases/139799/
  12. I would believe all of those except for the wedge category. I would have to say Cleveland is the #1 selling wedge.
  13. Whatever wedge you decide to go with make sure you go with a 8-10 bounce in order for it to be versatile from almost any lie. A bounce in that range will also allow you to open up your face more for those high lob shots. Unless the sand is very fluffy where you play, a bounce more than 10 is unnecessary an will only hurt you playing tight lies.
  14. I, like yourself use all Taylormade woods. I owned a Burner 3 wood but went back to my Taylormade V-Steele. Taylormade doesn't make the V-Steele anymore but you can pick them up on EBAY brand new for 60$. A lot of reviews out there say that the V-Steele is one of the best fairway woods ever made because of the way the sole is shaped. I've owned 3.
  15. As long as the tip size is the same you won't have a problem at all. Just cut it down to 3 wood length.
  16. Nah man, the sole on the 3 iron is actually thinner than the rest of the irons besides the 2 iron.
  17. Has anyone had any experience with them? I have heard nothing but good things about them and I want to try one out but I can't find them in any stores in my area. Please let me know how you liked them and how they feel.
  18. Do yourself a favor and don't hit the VR splitbacks or your dilemma may continue on forever.
  19. Mizuno is a top tier baseball glove maker.
  20. Yea, I did try that putter. I hit it for a half hour trying to like it. In the end, I thought it was way over rated and not worth 300$. I ended up with more feel and distance control with another putter half the price.
  21. I just learn to block out all the Mizuno FANBOY'S. Mizuno makes nice clubs, I have been playing a set for 3 years but I am open to other brands. It seems a lot of people on this forum will tell you whatever they own is the best clubs out there. In reality, Mizuno's are forged in the same factory's in China with the same metal as every other forged club from a major manufacturer. If you want the BEST then you fork out the bucks for a Japanese forged club.
  22. its gotta be the MP-67s, why? Because I bought them!!!!!
  23. Ovcourse they are. The reviews they got were great. Like I said my 3 friends that work at pro shops all said the same thing. I don't believe reviews in forums from fan boys. If you own Mizuno's then your going to be biased towards them. I play PINGS and want to switch to a forged club for added feel. I will give my UNBIASED review after I hit the VR blades, VR split-backs, AP-2's, Mizuno MP-52's, 57's and 62's. I am hitting them and getting fitted tomorrow.
