  1. I would have to say cleveland. love all their stuff!
  2. lamkin crossline cord. best grips around imho
  3. i recommend the cleveland 588 wedges. I have a 51* and love it. Pretty cheap too.
  4. I would have to agree with the majority of people so far. I play MP67's and there is nothing better in this game than when you pure one of those babies.
  5. I refinished an old scotty on my own. Here are the steps I followed: 1. strip the old finish. Either "coke it" overnight or use naval jelly or whatever, just get it raw. 2. use brillo pads to get it raw, no rust! 3. use birchwood casey gun blue to refinish it. 4. seal it so it doesn't re-rust. 5. re-paintfill if necessary/desired hope that helped. pm me if you have any questions.
  6. The solution for this is simple. I had the same problem. Are you ready? OK here it is...waggle. Waggle the club about 3 ft. back and bring it back and if it is past the ball you know your standing too close. The purpose of the waggle is to get rid of tension and too rehearse a mini swing, so you should get the club to return right back to address and you'll know your the right distance away. Another tip I've heard is that for every club, your hands should be the same distance away from your body. If your hands need to bee 5 in.'s away from your body, then they should be for driver through wedge. Hope that helps and good luck with your game.
  7. Congrats on the new club man, I always feel like a little kid on Christmas when I get a new club. Good luck and I hope you hit it well.
  8. It's probably a combination of the shaft and head combo. The sumo isn't the longest driver available, but it is straight. The titleist is a bomber if you can hit it straight, but it's not for everyone. Personally, I love mine and after I got it I knew my quest for the perfect driver was over after having tried about 10 different ones. Enjoy it man, the thing's a bomber.
  9. I strongly recommend the MP67's. As a 9 handicap I have no trouble hitting them solidly. I figure you should be able to pure them being a 5 and all. I got mine brand new for $500 about a year ago. They are forgiving and workable, and sexy as well. The Pro M's previously mentioned are also good. I got a demo 7 iron when Macgregor was giving them away and I would recommend them as well. The price is unbeatable, Mac cant even give them away.
  10. I think there's something there. I heard somewhere that most people in NE where I live play their best golf right after Winter. This is probably due to having a clear mind and not expecting to much of yourself. Because you don't expect to play good, you focus on having fun and play low pressure golf resulting in low scores on the card.
  11. Tiger. No one has ever had, nor will ever be able to match his focus for winning on and off the course.
