  1. I have a G25 5 wood and its one of my favorite clubs in my bag. I bought it when it first came out and its the oldest club in my bag. Fairway woods are hard to find and I plan on keeping this one for a long time. Its very easy to hit and is suprisingly good out of the rough. Distance wise it flies. I carry it about 225 and my G30 3 wood I only carry a little over 230. I mainly use the 3 wood off the tee. My 5 wood is my go too club on par 5s.
  2. For me personally in my last set of Irons I had the KBS Tour Stiff in them and had trouble getting the long irons airborn. Other than that little blip I liked the shafts. My new irons which are Ping I25s have the S300 in them. I love this shaft and have a nice trajectory. Sometimes shots do balloon on me but that may be a swing fault and not the club.
  3. Went to the range today and continued to work on steepening my backswing. I hit 180 or so balls with mostly my 8 iron and 6 iron. I used the alignment stick behind every ball I hit so I wasnt coming from the inside. 90% of the swings were between 1/2 and 3/4 length and slow. Im trying to ingrain this slowly into my full swing. I was also conscience of how I finished the swings. Im trying to feel more around with my hands in front of my torso.
  4. At the beginning of the year I switched from a 10.5 G25 driver to a G30 at 10.5. Also switched from an old G2 3 wood to a G30 3 wood. I switched from G30 irons in August to I25 irons. I should have waited one more week to try out the Ie1 irons but I really liked the I25s. My iron specs and shafts(S300) stayed the same between the 2 sets. Im embarrased to admit but Ive went through 5 putters since March. Started with a Scotty Cameron Golo 3, then went to an Oddyssey Versa 6, then onto a Heavy Putter BM3. The 4th putter was an Oddyssey V-Line and my current gamer is a Cleveland Classic 1. I know that not only is that alot of putters but its also 5 different styles of putter. I really like the Cleveland. Ive added lead tape and a Super Stroke grip to it. Ive had it in the bag for 2 months now and Ive made a commitment to keep it until I do things right and get fitted. Ive been fitted for every club in my bag but the putter.
  5. Im what many would consider to be a "range rat". Being single with no kids affords me the opportunity to hit the range daily during the season and I also play 3 times a week. Problem is Im not getting better. At all!! Reading Iacas thread on getting a priority piece has changed my game. Only in the last 3 weeks have I started to see a change in my swing which was confirmed by video. I conned myself for the last 2 seasons thinking I was bettering my swing but all I was doing was aimlessly beating balls and falling for each magic swing thought that would last a week or day or even an hour! Ive found a good instructor who is involved with the 5SK. With his help and the great information on this site I think Im headed in the right direction. Its been 3 weeks since I went to the range just to beat balls without working on a specific piece and Im never looking back.
  6. Hit balls in my garage today. First time this fall that Im not outside. It feels like early March today. Im still working on being steep in the backswing. Ive incorporated this steep feeling into my Pre-Shot Routine. Today I worked on slow swings that were at most 3/4 length and speed. Putting an alignment stick perpendicular to the target and 4" behind the ball is helping me from not coming too far from the inside on the downswing. Im also being conscious of my finish position on these 3/4 swings. Im focusing on my right arm being straight at 3:00 and am really making sure I finish more "around" with my arms in front of my torso and not so upright as I was before. As I said yesterday Im excited that the changes me and my instructor have made are really noticeable now and Im headed in the right direction. Cannot wait untill 2016.
  7. Had a lesson today. Me and my teacher are working on getting me steeper in the backswing. I need to feel like Im holding an umbrella at A3. We also are working on my path coming into the ball. I was coming too far from the inside( almost 9* with the driver) Ive been working with my instructor for 3 months now and am really starting to see some progress.

    MLB 2015

Im rooting for the Bucs since my Reds are Horrible this year! Hopefully all our young pitching can pan out. Right now we have 5 rookies in the rotation. Ive hated the Pirates ever since the wild card game a couple years ago when the fans at PNC rattled Cueto however Ill gladly root for them now over the Cubs and Cardinals.
  9. Another good yogiism was "Cut that pizza into 4 slices. Im not hungry enough to eat 6". My family is big into baseball and it was passed down to me. I love hearing my grandpa talk about the old players. RIP Yogi
  10. With the G30 irons my 150yd club was a stock 9 iron. Ive just now recently switched back to I25 irons and I have to make good contact with my 8 iron to get it out to 150. Im thinking about sending them back in to get the lofts adjusted because the rest of my bag was set up to the gapping of the G30 irons.
