  1. lol, not really, I just feel that it is kinda hard to play so well for consecutive weeks. It is a long season and everybody will have a bad week here and there. I am just hoping that Ernie hasn't peaked too early before the Masters.
  2. Hopefully he can stay hot and get a victory at Augusta. I just hope that he hasn't peaked too early since it is so hard to stay this hot for consecutive weeks. Anyway, he is already having a great year and I expect him to win at least 1 more time this season. If he can't get a victory at Augusta, maybe he can get one in the Open Championship (British Open).
  3. Glad to see that Ernie is playing so well. He will be playing again this week and let's see if he can make it 3 in a row before the Masters. Don't know if he wants to win this week since the odd of winning 4 tournaments in a row is not that good, lol.
  4. Good to see Ernie and Vijay are playing well. Paddy is coming around. Schwartzel is impressive, he made a lot of clutch putts.
  5. Camilo was impressive. It is a tough course, but he made it look quiet easy. For now, I consider Camilo as one of the favorites to win the Maters. AK wasn't bad at all, 8 under par is a very good score for this course. AK will get better, he is 3 years younger than Camilo after all. Good to see Vijay is playing well again also.
  6. I don't think he is underrated. He is solid and playing pretty well so far this season, but I can't say that he is underrated with his accomplishments so far on the Tour.
  7. Obviously Rickie should have gone for it on the 15th since he has more than enough length to do it. He is only 21 though and he still impressed me more than disappointed me. He already has 2 second place finishes this season, and the field in Phoenix this week is the strongest one on the Tour so far this season. Overall, I am very impressed with this kid.
  8. I am going with Alvaro Quiros.
  9. Wow, a lot of upsets so far.

    Duval...

Let's hope he can continue to play well this week. The top players aren't playing in Mexico this week, so he should be one of the favorites to contend. He disappeared last season though after his 2nd place finish in the US Open, so I really need to see more consistency from him before declaring that he is back and will be a regular contender.
  11. I don't really like his chance. Obviously, he is playing very well. However, like a lot of you said, he is known for his length, not for his accuracy. Accuracy is much more important than length in the majors. I also found that he is a lot more comfortable in making a lot of birdies than scrambling for pars. To win in the majors, you need to scramble and make clutch putts for pars to win.
  12. I think he is playing well and he has the games to win the majors. But like some of you said, he could be shaky with the lead and I am just not sure if he is mentally tough enough to win the majors. Hopefully he will win one and he will continue to play well.
  13. Glad to see that Duval is playing well again. Not sure if he will be playing consistent enough to be in the hunts regularly, but seems like he will at least show up once in awhile. Dustin Johnson struggled today, he plays better in easier conditions and the scoring conditions today weren't not as favorable as the past 3 days, and his struggles to make putts certainly didn't help. Anyway, he played well on the 18th hole and deserved to win. Goydos was in the hunt again, but just like a few times last season, he seemed to struggle on Sunday. Holmes had another good week, maybe he will be breaking out this season.
  14. He will soon turn 43 years old and hasn't won a major before, but this guy is one of the best players in the world now. He is a good ball striker, putts and scrambles well. Sometimes he seemed to put too much pressures on himself on the final few holes at times last season or he could have won a couple more times, but he seemed to improve on it a bit at the end of last season. He had a great year last season, but wasn't really contending in the majors. What do you all think of his chances to win a major this season. I like his chance, especially if Tiger doesn't return by the Masters this season.
  15. Group 1: P. Mickelson - Have to pick him since he is a sure bet to win multiple tournaments. Group 2: Z. Johnson - He is a very consistent player. Group 3: H. Mahan - I am betting that he will have a breakout season. Group 4: T. Clark - Not sure if he will have a breakthrough victory, but he will have a lot of top 10s. Group 5: A. Kim - Betting on his potential here. Group 6: C. Campbell - Not really all that confident in him, but I think he is the best player in this group. Group 7: S. Garcia - The best player in this group. Group 8: R. Mcillroy - This kid is amazing, I think he will win a major pretty soon, watch out. Group 9: A. Scott - Not very confident in him, but he is still better than others in this group. Goup 10 (Champions): F. Couples - He can still finish in the top 10s in some tournaments. Group 11(LPGA): L. Ochoa - Betting that she will bounce back. Group 12(LPGA): M. Wie - I am from Hawaii, so I will pick Wie here.
  16. Tiger can attract many casual fans to watch golf, while most other golfers can't. If you like watching golf, you would continue to watch golf with or without Tiger next season and certainly would continue to watch golf after Tiger retires. However, the Tour will get hit pretty hard without Tiger since the casual fans wouldn't watch golf without Tiger. Anyway, I will still enjoying watching golf next season, but also hope that Tiger will return sooner rather than later.
  17. Unfortunately he is one of the most famous and recognized persons/athletes in the world. If he is not Tiger Woods and is just another average professional golfer, then he probably could just apologize once online and move on, and the public probably wouldn't be too interested in it. However, he is Tiger Woods. I don't think that it is a good time for him to hold a press conference and talk about his issues now since the thing that he should do now is to save his marriage. Sooner or later though, he will have to face the medias and talk about it. I know that he wants to keep it private and move on, but it is impossible since too many people are interested in it and the medias will not give up easily since they can make a lot of headlines out of it. I think it would be the best for him to hold a press conference later on, apologize and sort of talk about what happened and whether he works the issues out with Elin, then he can move on. It is actually better for him to apologize with his mouth rather than just posting online since so many kids and younger people view him as a role model. I know that it is his private life and he doesn't really need to apologize to any of us, but he probably will have to since he is one of the most public figures in the world.
  18. Well, hopefully he can work the issues out with Elin. He should take time off anyway since family is more important than golf. If he doesn't take time off from golf, people would think that he is spending no effort to save his family and it wouldn't do any good to his image. Also, I doubt that he wants to face the media any time soon. I truly hope that he is really taking his time off to save his marriage and not just avoiding the medias. Best wishes to Tiger and his family.
  19. I can't imagine that he wants to retire like this. I think he will play again in the tour and proves that he learns his lesson and will be a better person. It is highly possible that he will take a break from the tour though to solve his personal issues. I don't think that he wants to miss the Masters, but I am leaning toward to think that he will take a long enough break to miss the Masters, but back to the tour before the US Open. He will probably act a little differently when he returns also. My guess is that he will be a lot more friendly to the fans and a lot less cursing and throwing his clubs on the Tour. Just my opinion and guess though.
  20. You could be right. He indeed had a great season after the major surgery. However, the problem this time is very different. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprise too if Tiger have his best season ever next year.
  21. Well, let's hope that Tiger can work the issues out with his family and learn from this mistake. I don't know how it will affect him on the golf courses next season though. He could very be too distracted by his personal issues and doesn't play as well as he did in the past. The media probably will focus a lot more on his personal life than golf and I don't think it will be a good thing for the Tour. Also, he could be a lot more friendly to the fans and try to repair his public image. Anyway, next season will be a very difficult one for Tiger.
  22. everyone is saying that the top 5 can win the cup by winning the Tour Championship. Paddy is at #6 now, anyone knows what has to happen for him to win the cup? The top 5 must all do very poorly in the Tour Championship and Paddy has to win the tournament?
  23. The current system is really stupid, especially you might not win the FedEx Cup if you don't do well in the Tour Championship even if you have won the first 3 events. Well, the FedEx Cup is just for the PGA to make more money and they could careless how fair the system is. I agree that match play is the best solution, but I doubt it would happen since if Tiger loses early, then the PGA wouldn't make as much money. The currently system is basically the best system to have Tiger and other top players to play in all 4 events, and that's the only thing that the PGA care about.
  24. Congrats, Stricker. Stricker has a serious chance to win the player of the year award now, and he should win it if he wins the FedEx Cup. Tiger and Yeng probably are the only 2 players who could challenge Stricker for the Player of the year award. One more win would give Tiger his 5th victory of the season, while one more win would give Yeng his 3rd victory of the season, including a major.
  25. Tiger would be too easy, so I will go with someone nobody talk about - Justin Leonard
