  1. Whatever Ernie does is correct, whatever Furyk does is correct, whatever Sergio does is correct, whatever Trevino does is correct, whatever Bubba does is correct...and so on
  2. One thing we can be sure of ,the DST won't solve the golfers problems. It does say however what is needed, but we know that already.Feel ,the great foggy golf term, is what pros live by. It essentially is a golf life time of trial and error trying to gain control of the fingers and forearm muscles impact on holding and swinging a golf club.Swinging a baseball bat doesn't present the same problems as swinging a golf club because only the wrist hinge is involved. But when bending ,as with a golf club, the added wrist cocking issue complicates what is an otherwise simple non- feel, merely power motion of the baseball swing. DST---Doesn't Solve Tension.
  3. I probably should have been clearer by saying the tree chopping motion is a horizontal action and not vertical which would adapt itself to the golfing-like plane as one bends over to make a golf swing. But the core is the firm wrists with hands leading the club head.
  4. One method I sometimes use for green side bunkers is an axe chopping method.Take your club and treat it as an axe ,pretend you're going to chop a tree down at chest height hitting the tree with the leading edge of the club.Watch what you do with your wrists, they don't cock or flop around, they are firm with the hands leading the club edge through the strike of the "tree".Now just lower the club to sand level and really give it a smash.Keep your weight on the lead side and don't be afraid to let your body turn right through the blast so the belt buckle is facing the target.
  5. I always thought "chuffed" in England meant ,pleased/happy.
  6. If I understand this correctly ,the clubhead at address is closer to your feet than the ball, the ball being outside the clubhead. This being a normal address position otherwise.....sorry,very odd sounding.Fixes like this (bandaids) are not the route to go IMO.I can only guess that at address your weight may be more on your heels which I have found to work for awhile...a Johnny Miller W.O.O.D swing-works only one day.I have found gripping the club too close to the body, rather than at least one fist away, opens the door to shanks.
  7. Hi ,just joined after reading the neutral set up discussion.I don't believe it for one second.I was going to use treadmill as my user name since golf is on one,but collapse better describes the major problem with golf swing. The lead arm joints collapse before getting back to impact.Pros don't collapse and you can set up however you want....thanks
