  1. Price is not a huge concern. How does the Titleist Nxt Tour compare to these two balls?
  2. there is no feedback on these 2 balls?
  3. Hit a drive yesterday that I didn't clear my hips through on and it faded right and put me in trouble. So I had to play safe out and punch out. This hole is a par 5 with a big dog leg left. I was forced with a choice to either play safe and play to the center of the dog leg with a wedge and then play another wedge on to the green, or to go up over the trees and cut off the dog leg. I was hitting the ball solid, so I pulled the 5 iron and got the ball up over the trees and landed about 20 feet from the pin. It felt great.
  4. I am looking to move from playing the precept laddie to something a little higher end but I am not quite ready to spend on a tour level ball. I have played the Bridgestone e6, srixon trispeed, and callaway hx hot bites, and they are all decent but not quite what I am looking for.l I would like to try to the Nike One Vapor or the Bridgestone e5.So I am asking for feedback on how each of these balls play. When I make the purchase I plan to buy a few dozen from lostgolfballs, so trying out a dozen of each won't work for me. My game has become consistent and that is why I think I am ready for a little better ball. My drives are generally between 230-245, with about a 3-5 yard draw. When I catch a drive really well I have gps'ed a few at 260. My irons are decent distance also with a slight draw. Currently with the precept laddie I can land the ball and get it to roll out about 10-15 feet. I would like something with a little more stopping power(I understand this will also have to come from my swing). Don't know if that helps at all, but I would love feedback on these 2 balls.
  5. It is a little loud, but not obnoxious
  6. guess I don't see the big difference besides color
  7. I had a good example of missing smart this morning. My friend and I were within 5 yards of one another. Flag was in the middle back, and about 3 feet behind the flag the green dropped off to a 2nd tier. GPS was reading 135 to the middle and 150 to the back. So the flag was probably 140, and 143 or longer was danger. I choose 9 iron, my 130-138 club. Knowing that being short of the flag was the smart play. My friend told me it wasn't enough club and to grab 8 iron and shoot at the flag. My 9 iron landed nicely and left me a 12 foot birdie putt, which i missed but I tapped in for par. My friend took his 8 iron and aimed at the flag. His ball mark was pin high 3 feet left of the flag. His ball was 15 yards away on the fringe after rolling down the slope. He didn't get up and down and walked away with a bogey. It is these types of things I have been trying to learn, and having an actual home course where I now know the pin placements and the greens, it has enabled me to make smarter choices
  8. I like the 5 wood quite a bit. I have never really used my fairway woods much, but this one seems pretty easy to hit, and I am now comfortable using it on the course.
  9. I am more excited about the added accuracy. The club just feels nice and I think I have confidence from having an updated driver
  10. I have been learning this. I juse to just play for fun, but being in a league has forced me to care more about my scores. In turn that has made me actually think about putting myself in position to remove double bogey as an option and make safe plays. I think the three biggest things for me is 1. You don't always need to pound driver off the tee 2. On par 5's it is not just hit the longest club you can, I will go for it in 2 if I have a shot, but if not I leave my 3rd shot at a distance I am comfortable with, instead of in no man zone at 45 yards 3. Aiming at the flag is not always the best place to aim, sometimes it is good to miss smart
  11. 120-130 yards. My pitching wedge has been hot lately.
  12. 41/45 for an 86 Started out fantastic, got stuck waiting for the group in front of us for 2 holes and let it go to my head. Fell apart for about 6 holes, before recovering
  13. Dicks sporting goods has been running a 2 for $100 deal on Maxfli Drivers, Fairway woods, and hybrids. I used the opportunity to get the maxfli c3 10.5 degree driver and matching 5 wood. I am loving these clubs. The driver is very forgiving. My last 2 rounds I have hit over 65% of fairways with about 10-12 yards of extra distance. If anyone is in the market for a driver, I highly recommend it. It looks good at address and it has been very good for me. I also upgraded from a very old wilson staff driver, which probably was some of the issue.
  14. I have been noticing that Dicks is selling some Maxfli tour balls at a very good price. A google search has not brought up much information. So I was wondering does anyone play maxfli balls? Or has anyone tried them? What is the general consensus on them?
  15. The U.S. PGA selects the Ryder Cup captain from professional golfers who have won a major golf championship, are in their 40s and have played in the Ryder Cup that is the best answer I can find. I don't think there is any specific way
  16. tried slowing everything down today and it was better but not back to where I was. I shot a 45, but hit 5/7 fairways with the driver. Irons were still inconsistent, but they were much better then they had been. Think I will head to the range the next few days with the irons and just work on basics and making half swings to see if I can find that solid feel again
  17. Consistently inconsistent
  18. This is the most I have ever golfed in one season. Started the season playing well. Had worked really hard to straighten out my driver and was hitting the ball great. Broke 80 for the first time ever, and was consistently in the lows 80's. Over about the last 6 weeks I have completely lost my swing. I can't even hit my short irons anymore. Everything is a giant hook or a push to the right. I have so many thoughts in my head, I don't even know where to begin to fix these issues
  19. There needs to be a seperation from the letter of the rule and the heart of the rule. Yes he violated the letter, but not the heart
  20. 4hybrid, 8 iron, putter
  21. Praying for you in your recovery
  22. Gee that solves the issue. Makes you just as big of an ••••••• as the OP.
  23. I need to make another swing video before I am 100% sure, but yes I think that is the cause of my duck hooks for the last 3 or 4 rounds
  24. What drills are there for the person who is struggling with the bolded part?
  25. Over last 5 rounds - 8.4 handicap 3% Birdies 32% par 42% bogey 21% double 1% triple or worse Last 20 rounds - 11.7 handicap 2% birdie 28% par 53% bogey 15% double 1% triple or worse My last round(9 hole league) looked like this Par, Double, Double, Par, Par, Double, Bogey, Par, Double
