Played this grip for the first time today on nine holes. Did wonders for my game.

I have been using the Vardon grip for as long as I have been playing. Mind you I am not too good as it is, but I gave the ten finger (baseball) grip a try today for nine holes. My game improved drastically. I was hitting with my irons like I haven't hit in a long time. Thinking bout just going with the new grip from now on. I read somewhere that there were some disadvantages to that type of grip. Any thoughts?

Is there any clubs I need to complete my bag? Looking to cover all my bases plus I got room for one more and do not feel complete .

I recently became the new owner of a new great golf set. A coworker/golf buddy of mine has decided that he is going to purchase a knock off set of clubs (or clones) for a fraction of the cost that I had paid. I figured it was a cool idea for him (its his money) but now he is trying to make it sound like getting these clubs is making him a better/smarter golfer. Honestly I'm getting sick of hearing it, and I don't want to lose a reliable golf partner but I am afraid if he keeps it up he will just annoy himself off my partner list. My question is. I don't have too much knowledge when it comes to knockoffs, and know of people who swear by them. Are these clubs really what they make them out to be? What are some of the pro's and con's to buying knockoffs?

My wife who has also never played golf has decided that she wants to start playing. Roger Dunn let her hit a few balls and she ended up getting hooked. They then tried to sell her a $700 complete set. Yeah.... We are going to Wal Mart this weekend. If it turns out she loves it as much as I do, I can see a really nice set in her future. But like Urbanknight was thinking about doing, we have our anniversary at the end of the month, thinking bout us both getting lessons.

Playing the X 22's for me has been like night and day from my old clubs. Not many of my friends are lefty's so I have not been able to try a wide variety of clubs, but my 22's are by far the best I have played.

I started getting back into playing a few months back and was using the clubs I had since I was 17. Decided to start from scratch with my clubs and went out and got everything all new, all the best (you know what I mean). I mean everything from the clubs to the bag to the shoes, everything. Had to bite the bullet on the cost but it feels like it did the first time I started playing, like I am hooked all over again. Clubs are expensive, but you deserve it bro. You can figure out a way to sell the wife. Good luck

Not sure if this really counts but I was really pissed about it. Took my Diablo out to the range for the first time this morning.... chipped a little paint on the top..... I was livid!
