  1. k, what about shaft tips ? since RBG only has .335 tips can i just buy an adapter at golfsmith or something? or should i look for a .35 tip and spend the extra money? Yeah i think i'll go with the red stiff... ? haha man they gotta train salesmen better i want them to tell me what i need... he had no idea what i was even talking about
  2. I wish the guy was better trained.... man he was useless and barely knew what i was asking about Maybe ill just buy the stiff prolaunch red off RBG and try it out? I dont want it to be too too low but right now its pretty ridiculous how low i'm teeing it and how high it's going. What do you think of the red? can you still get the ball high enough to carry hazards? I just dont want to be hitting 270-280 yard bullets that i cant get over anything, but the blue seems to shoot the ball a bit high for my liking
  3. Oh and question about tip diameter How are these altered? like tip diameter of the stock shaft is .35 and new ones are .335 Can you cut the 335s and make them fit or i just have to find an aftermarket .35?
  4. So went for a fitting, guy was beyond useless at first and finally got someone else to help me a bit but he was busy and didnt have time to help me a ton So I basically have to work off of what i've hit and how i've seen my ball flight So my swing speed average came out to 109 - that's swinging pretty easy and i can probably ramp it up a bit more if i wanted to but that would be my most controlled ones. I have a 9.5 degree 09 burner head and i tee it below the top of the face and it shoots up retardedly high. So right now i'm askin for how much of a difference is the red and blue ball flights. I've hit an 09burner with a blue in it and it seemed to fly pretty high and not roll out very far. They also said i should get an X stiff but i dunno that seemed a bit extreme ??? How do the prolaunch red's play? do they hit it really low and feel really stiff ?
  5. What's causing the doble bogeys?
  6. You gotta figure out where the weak part of your game is Is it tee shots? are you duffing 100 yard tee shots? are you hitting ob and losing strokes? Are you duffing iron shots? thin, fat? Work on your ball striking as much as possible and that'll come down to bogey golf in no time Or just work on your chipping and putting , but preferably ball stirking so you can enjoy the game a bit more For me it was keeping the ball in play - Now i just have to learn how to chip / putter better so when i miss a green by a bit i can still up and down instead of up and 2 putt
  7. dude work hard play hard I have 30 hours of classes right now and if i dont get out to atleast the range i'd go ••••ing insane and want to kill myself
  8. its not that you dont hit long its that you dont hit consistently long, which is usually from over swinging thus the high swing speeds with little control
  9. to get an accurate fitting you have to goto a launch monitor and actually get your stuff tested because your carry distances are probably way off if you're actually a 21.4 cap
  10. yuck back surgery how old are you guys?
  11. the only real way to compare heads is to put the shaft that fits you best in all of them and hit them a bunch most of the time its the shaft that makes the difference
  12. the 6.0s are on sale at RBG for 399 by the way
  13. 10263 NE Cascades Pkwy hey is that golfsmith a bit closer to troutdale? is that one ok to get fit at or should i go south to the one in tulatin or whatever
  14. I think its more important for the shaft to fit your swing than the length
  15. nah but over 9000
  16. So i hit an 09 burner same loft but with a prolaunch blue in it... its like night and day Like absolute night and day a million times better than the stock shaft
  17. Yeah never forget to assess the type of sand/lie its in I hit a bunker shot the other day and i forgot it had rained and the sand was super wet and heavy Needless to say the ball was well short of the hole
  18. Yeah they're FUGLY as hell and when i look down on them i'm like how the heck am i gonna hit the ball with this thing But i wouldn't mind some G series on some days. There's nothing wrong with hitting consistent straight iron shots to the green haha.
  19. I just use my 53 because it used to be my only wedge and i had no choice and i've gotten really good from the sand so why change it up. Unless its a huge bunker with a steep elevation change
  20. Smoke a joint and relax the whole time
  21. I like my I3s And dont discount G series ya they're shovels but those clubs get the ball in the air if you touch the face
  22. nah i haev the 09 because its 46"+ and i'm a 25 year old athletic person its just too light... Some of its driver swing but its not that much because im solid with my irons now, i just have to learn how to chip and putt to get my cap down. But i have to baby my driver out there on most holes cause it feels so long
  23. I hate it... i havnt had time to cut my burner down.... or change shafts
  24. I had this monday night.... it was off shitty mats though and i didnt take much into it but the next night i shot a 40 through 9 holes... really dislike hitting of mats
  25. on sale for 399 by the way
