Before you decide on a graphite shaft, try an Arotech steelfiber shaft.

I voted yes , I'm still old school and believe scoring is done on the green not how far off the tee a player is. Yes I know it's easier to get close hitting a 9 iron then it is swinging a 5 iron. A short hitter just has to spend more time on the range....

Thanks for the reply Mr Desmond, I will try the tape , if I ever get the clubs back. They are sure taking their time. T have a new set of AP1 with the Aerotech i80 shaft which I really like the feel of , I'm not real fond of the AP1 Just to much metal to look at..

WUTiger thanks for that info. I had my 5 iron reshafted in the 950 and felt great, hit the ball HIGH , don't feel like I need it any higher. I live in part of the country that is boondocs USA. There are no club fitters so testing the Recoil shaft is about impossible . I do thank you for your feedback ...

Thanks for the opinions guys, reshaft it is. The MP33 are the clubs I played with up until I had to quit playing 6 years ago due to a spinal cord injury I am now just getting back to chunking balls. The DG300 are just to heavy for me now, I'm 66 plus the injury just spells SLOW !! I'm going to reshaft and regrip the 33's , I have a new set of AP1 with the steelfiber i80 to fall back on (don't really like that big O'l head)... THANKS AGAIN GUYS !!

Thanks Piz, what I'm wondering , are MP 33 worth putting the cost of reshafting. They are a good looking blade..

i have a set of Mizuno MP 33 that have DG R300 shafts, I'm thinking of reshafting them with Nippon 950 GH. Should I spend the money to reshaft them ?

After laying off from the game for seven years due to a spinal chord engery I'm playing the game again and even new clubs. Riding in a cart and still only able to play nine and it wasn't pretty. But I'm off the couch. Man do I have a lot of practice ahead of me....

Club manufactures are making sticks that are forgiving on sweet spots and now this. I don't like the way equipment is heading. If you want to strike the ball so it goes down the middle. GO PRACTICE

I purchased a new set of MP-33 with R300 shafts years ago. Over the years they became to heavy for me , I'm 66 and swing slower. I want to keep them and reshaft . I'm looking at Nippon pro 750gh or the steelfiber i70 or i80 in reg flex. Opinions or Advice Wanted !! Thanks in advance ...

I still have my 64 Wilson Staff Dynapower that I played with in High School , a used set. When I start hitting my CB bad I sometimes practice with the OLD sticks, hit them half way good makes the CB easy to play with for a day or two. God I love this game !!!

I tried pings of different models and had a mental block or something with the way they looked behind the ball with that offset hosil . I feel if one can strike the ball well with a players club then use it. It's funny how a persons mind works.

1badbadger Thank you for your insight on the steelfiber shaft. Mr. Hilleary and I had several emails on just what you said. I first thought of having the regular flex soft one step but went with reg. flex. My first choice was the i70 but Titleist said the don't carry nor could they get that shaft , which really surprised me so I went with the i80. Thanks again.....

No Sir, I don't have MP 4 , I do have MP33 and they have DG R300 shaft which is way to heavy and hard to hit now , I have had 3 neck surgeries and some nerve damage to my legs.

Well I think I went of the deep end !! I ordered new 716 AP1 and having them with the i80 Steelfiber Reg flex shaft.. with out being fitted .( yike) Do any of you play with this shaft ? any feed back will be welcome ....

I'm new here and I do tell ya, I love this game called golf. I live in the Oklahoma Panhandle where there are no trees and very little rain but we do have WIND. I started playing golf when I was 8 or 9 my club choice was a Table Leg and the greens were sand. I thank you for letting me join this forum ..☮
