  1. Thanks guys - I’ve been absentee here for a while and I don’t like it.
  2. Posting here only for my own sake…in hopes to get me focused on something I enjoy. Months ago, my wife was diagnosed with cancer and after multiple surgeries and hospital stays, I’ve played just two rounds all year. I hit on the range yesterday for the first time in a long time. Prob hit my driver as well as I ever have. My irons started out as a C- but graduate to a B+ by the end. My time has been focused and centered on my family (where it should continue to be), but I need to get back into things for my own sanity. I’ve never been able to get out much, but this is ridiculous
  3. True, but I’m not that coordinated. My point was, I don’t have to look at my hand to throw a paper ball in a trash can because the object being launched/propelled is attached to me whereas the golf ball is not.
  4. I get what you’re saying, but with your paper ball analogy, the ball is in your hand, it’s connected to your person….so there’s nothing happening at the interface between the ball and the hand. With putting, it isn’t connected and there’s a distinct moment of contact/interaction between the disconnected ball and your moving putter…not quite apples to apples
  5. Only 5 eagles in my life, and only 2 BIRDIES in a round twice. I only birdie a hole every 2-3 rounds…ie, I miss a lot of birdie putts
  6. Great point I didn’t even think of
  7. And cut yourself some slack- it took me 6 months or so to have a steadier head with real speed swing and I still can’t grip the club right 😒
  8. Day 12 - putting inside with focus on bead and steady rhythm using Blast
  9. Day 11 - went to range. Worked in same thing as past week, club back and up, straighter right arm
  10. Day 10 - putting inside with focus on bead and steady rhythm (cold and rainy outside)
  11. Conditions and pace of play make or break the round when grading it as being enjoyable. The Company makes it memorable. Great company can also help make up for a less than desirable pace or set of conditions.
  12. Day 9 - takeaways with 8i with focus on club back & up, hitting into net x 15mins
  13. Day 8 (1/04/24) - takeaways with 9i with focus on club back & up, hitting into net x 15mins
  14. Day 7 (Jan 2nd) - putting for bead from 6’ with steady pendulum rhythm.
  15. To be incredibly informative here, it was stupid. The guy should be fired.
  16. Day 6 (Jan 1, 2024) - 10 minutes of putting working on speed with a steady rhythm. 20 minutes on shipping around the greens in 42° temps 🥶 with focus on varying my back swing with distances from Green.
  17. Day 5 - putting for bead while concentrating on smooth rhythm x 5 mins. Also slower takeaways going back & up x 10mins while hitting balls into net with 9i
  18. Day 4 - slow takeaways with wedge with focus on clubhead going back & up (something I had gotten away from lately and accuracy had been suffering)
  19. Day 3 - slow takeaways with 9i with focus on clubhead going back & up (something I had gotten away from lately and accuracy had been suffering)
  20. Day 2 - played 9 holes. Meh. 41 (diff 5.6). One birdie (opening hole) with a double. FW: 5/7 GIR: 3/9 Putts: 16 Feel around the greens was nonexistent
  21. Restarting this thing for the umteenth million time. Did 15 mins of putting in office with focus on smooth pendulum rhythm of varying distances
  22. No - there was a time when I was practicing regularly, but outside of the few rounds I’ve played this year, I think I’ve hit balls maybe 3 times. 😏 I need to get back into things. This is my way of putting it out there for accountability 🙄
  23. @StuM, Interested depending date & drive time
  24. I get that. Still disappointing.
