  1. Here's what I've got from perusing the internet and my newspaper this morning. Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, oh by the way Webb Simpson won.
  2. They were Masters week.
  3. Faldo is fine. I like his dry wit. I'd take him over Johnny Miller.
  4. I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, just the Tiger lovers in general. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough Dr. See Fidelio this is what's in store for you by picking Jack over Tiger around here. Now I get gigged for being a troll. -5 points whatever that means and who knows why? I'd bet my views on Jack over Tiger doesn't have a thing to do with it. I guess I have to give up my keys to the executive bathroom now. I bet the special senior's parking place is on hold too. Fidelio just avoid this thread. Just a sayin'
  5. Like the Tiger freaks around here never called any one names. Hypocrisy at it's zenith.
  6. I think the back nine is going to be fun for a lot of folks, viewers especially.
  7. I bet you have a picture of him in your bathroom.
  8. Reed just birdied
  9. The New York Times is a shell of what it once was. Back in 1970 it, as well as other newspapers, was pretty much all there was if you wanted to read about the PGA. Now the rest of the media and it's talking heads have assumed that role. I think we might take that into consideration. Perhaps that also has something to do with my percieved non stop media Tigerfest.
  10. That's it, no Masters article. not even the scores, just Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. Don't believe me? The Memphis Commercial Appeal, Sunday, April 8, 2018. Find a copy. You know perhaps that's why I;m one of Tiger's detractors, I know quite a few, all of us, all in their 60s and 70s, he's been shoved down our throats for so many years, when he deserved it, OK, but especially when he didn't. It gets old. Somebody wins a tournament, a nobody or a journeyman but the gist of the article is on how Tiger came in 10th. Why??? Perhaps it's political correctness, perhaps it's because he's done a lot for golf's popularity, dunno, Arnie did a lot for golf, but Arnie and Jack in their heydays weren't the lead topic of every tournament they were in.
  11. Remember this b101, Reed's starting to look like he thinks he'd look good in green. Fleetwood's on fire, Rory's getting the breaks and I'm sure the first paragraph in tomorrow's paper will be Tiger's 72. You'd be a losing that bet.
  12. Chill out iacas! You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. Ball striking in that you got to know where to put it on the greens, yeah OK. but being a great putter is right up there with that at Augusta. Crenshaw, great putter, just above average in many other aspects of his game, won two, You don't win at Augusta without being a great putter. Ask Scott Hoch.
  13. You see Fidelio, I'm talking out of my hind end. When it comes to Tiger vs. Jack, other opinions, pro Jack, are viewed as talking out of your ***. To be honest the rest of the place isn't bad. This thread is good entertainment. The guy that said Jack was an average putter at best was good for some laughs. Yeah you win six Masters being an average putter at best. Bwhahahahaha.
  14. This place is full of Tiger fanboys so you're in for a rough ride for saying that. I learned that when I joined. Look I just read that Jack wasn't a great putter, that's insane but this is the type of BS you'll hear around this place. These guys are welcome to think what they think but they would sell their souls to the devil for 5 more majors in Tiger's pocket. They can't stand it, they lose sleep at night about it, they'll argue for Tiger till the ends of the earth. They'll use mathematics, statistics, charts, insults, anything to back their Messiah up. They'll tell you Arnie, Gary, Billy, Tom and Lee really weren't all that good. The people Tiger plays would destroy them. Gosh, gee if Tiger just had 19 majors then everything would be alright, the world would have no problems and everyone would agree with them. The fact that Jack has 18 and TW has 14 chafes them like sandpaper. They just can't get around that one try as they will. Thing is You can throw all of that crap out, different eras, different times, different equipment, same for Hogan, Jones, Hagen IMHO. Now Fidelio, sit back and learn, watch the Tiger fanboys light me up.
  15. Reed's starting to look like he thinks he'd look good in green. Fleetwood's on fire, Rory's getting the breaks and I'm sure the first paragraph in tomorrow's paper will be Tiger's 72.
  16. My original post was about Poulter being a good tipper unlike this forum's Messiah. Poulter's a good tipper so waitresses throughout the world might think Ian's not the ass you all are hinting he is. The rest was my response to someone saying my wife has an entitlement complex. I'm defending my wife and those that have a problem with that can......................................
  17. 30 minutes, I rest my case.
  18. My apologies please, I forgot that saying something critical about Tiger Woods, though true, is not acceptable around here. I promise to say 25 Hail Tigers and wear one of my Nike shirts tomorrow for punishment. May God forgive me.
  19. My wife used to be a waitress at a very well known BBQ place right around the corner from the TPC @ Southwind. I remember her telling me some guy named Poulter was a good tipper. She waited on some young guy named Rory something and he gave her $100.. Doesn't Tiger have a reputation as being a lousy tipper?
  20. Jack would have hit it in the fairway.
  21. I assure you he would have been far more welcome in Memphis in the early 60s than Pete Brown or Charlie Sifford. Thankfully by the mid 70s Lee Elder was welcomed. I'm sure there was a few that didn't like it but they kept to themselves. I followed him during a practice round in the mid 70s and didn't hear any derogatory things at all. He had game too.
  22. Lee Trevino, Roberto De Vicenzo, Lee Elder, Charlie Sifford, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Pete Brown, Homero Blancas all played the tour in the 60s. The Caucasian Only clause was revoked in 1961.
  23. Let's face the simple fact that people who watched Jack when they were young will say Jack and people that watched Tiger when they were young will say Tiger. The folks that watch Hogan when they were young well most of them aren't around anymore. No use arguing about it, no minds will ever be changed.
  24. I think right is the place to be on 15, Trees on the left would mean a big hook going for the green on the second shot and risking going over cause you ain't spinning a big hook.
  25. If he did pull it off it would rate right up there with Jack's 86 win. Would the roars be as loud? I'd love to see Phil in the hunt too.
