  1. Good for you, this a great FW wood. I play the 3 and 5
  2. Agree - you can get Addidas Tour 360 ltd on for $100 now. This is a $300 shoe that being closed out. I have three pairs and sine I bought them I never wear my Ecco's, Footjoys or Etonics.
  3. This sounds like typical callaway. They tend to take care of the costumer when they can. Glad it worked out.
  4. I think I will install my own as it doesn't look too tough and it about half the price. I need a but size .60 so that limits the choices but I think the ladies Winn Excell RF might fit the bill.
  5. I am convinced that I need undersized golf grips (again) I have been fitted before and my first set of fitted clubs were undersized grips, but my next two sets have been fitted for standard grips. My hands aren't small in that I wear a medium glove, but I have thick fingers. Can any one suggest some good undersized grips?
  6. Yes I am confused by it all too. The Labels on the box "for Higher spinning players" is not clear to me - ie does this mean if you spin the ball allot you like this as it takes some spin off? or if you like to spin the ball, you'll love this one as it spins like hell. Regardless I love both the black and red, I am gaming the red these days as I find it a bit longer then the black, but seems to spin about the same for me.
  7. I don't think the new wedge rule will effect the price of old wedges as for the common guy You(unless you are are pro) can play the high spin wedges till 2024, so there may even be a rush on buy the current stock before the low spin wedges come out in 2010.
  8. Ogio Vaporlite is a nice bag, not the best legs, but they work. I think Rock bottom golf has some good deals on till tomorow.
  9. They will make the shaft /lie / loft anything you want, but they willonly change the weight in certian models.
  10. I have some Ecco flextors I love, I really like my Addida tour 360 - they are bit heavy for summer wear as they are built like trucks, but great for winter as they are very water proof. You won't get much info about comfort over the net, as each foot is different. We can let you know about quality though - find a few contenders and then post about them
  11. Went with a navy custom shop grip and love it. So far it games great. I always loved this putter, but the feal of it is a bit better now and the ball roles cleaner off the face with out the ding that was just of the sweet spot. It nice to have it back as while it was away I was reminded why my back up putter only sees a few rounds a year.
  12. $145 get the head redone, custom paint, new shaft, new shaft band, new grip, new headcover. From there you can add extras like stamping.
  13. Several years ago I purchased a beat up used Scotty Cameron Laguna 2.5 for $70. It was very dinged up but managed to stay in bag for every round after that. As it was in brutal shape including a ding just of the centre of the face I always planned to get it refinished, but I could never part with it long enough to get it done. This year I decided after the fall match play championship finished for me I would send it in. I lost in round two and off to the custom shop went my putter. I wished I had taken a "before" picture, but I never did. Anyhow any sign of abuse this putter had is gone. I gamed the putter yesterday and it is great! I little softer then when it left, I think that could be the softer grip or the face milling, but as it is Stainless Steel a little softer is a bad thing:
  14. If it is in the bunker, I believe you do get a drop, but it has to still be in the hazard.
  15. If you plan on playing allot and you are a younger guy (like under 50) then don't commit to either of those irons. They won't be in the bag all that long if you are playing 1-3 times per week and are working on your game. Right now I suspect you finding your swing and until you really develop a swing going those irons are going to good for you only in the short term. Some would suggest going with a more of a players iron as this will help you work in your swing and give you a bit more feedback. I like the x22tours allot - still easy to hit but they give you some more feedback than the x-20 or x-22's. Another way to go is game an SGI iron (pretty sure the irons you are looking at fall into that category) but buy them used so you don't have much money into them when you need to trade up. Of course this is just one guys opinion as I play with lots of single digit capers who play both those irons. Most of them are a little older and don't expect much form their irons other then to keep it in play and then let their short game do the work.
  16. +1 10.5 in FJ, Ecco and Etonic, not 11 in Adidas
  17. Last week my partner lost his ball near a tree that is by a red staked hazard. We search and can't find the ball. He drops second ball. Well he takes a practice swing the wind blows his first ball out to of the tree. (; soemtimes you get a break in golf - but most times you don't
  18. I like white with shorts in the summer, brown with slacks in the fall/winter. I also do teh white shoes white belt, dark pants thing from time to time. I have 4 pairs of shoes in the rotation right now, and I thinking about some sandles for those very hot days (right now is good time to buy them cheap)
  19. When I have been stuck with this lie/shot I tend to play a "trap" with a lofted wedge. I come down steep on the ball and pinch the ball between the ground and the club - the club bottoms out just behind the ball. The ball does not pop up too high, but it does carry and lands with crazy spin to make it check up.
  20. Looks cheesey to me - really a skull and crossed clubs? Reminds of some wallmart off-brand clothes for a 10 year old.
  21. Go one with 8 bounce and one with 12 or 14 bounce and you'll be covered. I play a 52-8 and 56- 12 most days and between the two I have wedge for just about every lie. I also have 60-7 but I don't carry it much. If I had do over I would go with a 52-8 and 58-12
  22. the s300 will be a little softer and find they fly a bit higher
  23. +1 I have soem rusty vokeys myslef, once and while someone will say "you don't take very good care of your clubs" truth is i try hard to keep that rust in them
  24. I have played more then my fair shair of "sand greens" - good old motor oil and sand. For a few summers I worked in a park with a sand green course. I was in charge of taking care of the course (as well as the outhouses, the beach, campsites etc). I did a real crappy job taking care of the course, but I was 19 and didn't have a clue about what I was doing. The funny part about the course is I used to drive it in my pickup truck to play sometimes when it was cold and I didn't want to walk. Talk about "redneck" golf (; I just googled it and the fee went way up in the last 17 years, it is now $10.95 to play unlimited holes in one day or $7 for one round. In my day we charged $4 for all you could golf
  25. The best thing I found was to practice with the players club, but still game your GI irons unitl you have everything worked out. I was you I would tough it out and learn to hit what you have. You never like the ugly shovels anyhow, so why revert back to them
