  1. Pardon me. I did not mean to imply that Canadian physicians are any less qualified than their American cohorts. But Orlando is a very large city with an NBA team and several major college programs. Surely he could find an orthopedist within a 1 hour drive to help... As far as HGH, it's taken to GROW muscle and to HEAL. Any professional athlete would benefit from taking this, especially one recovering from knee surgery...
  2. Ahhh, something the sports world almost forgot about. Hank Haney said "I never saw anything go into Tiger's body that didn't come out of it..." Why visit a Canadian doctor when you have access to the BEST medical care in the world right around you?
  3. Tiger has no chance. Self-doubt will poison his game and his life for a while to come. Tiger is so talented he was able to dominate IN SPITE of the horrible Haney swing, but it will take time to recover from the missteps both personally and professionally.
  4. They need to have decent golfers. Touring pros are great but not necessary, but not De La Hoya vs. George Lopez. That made my eyes bleed. Maybe Donnie J plays someone...
  5. I have been really impressed with the Penta so far. My bro-in-law can get them for $34/dozen, so it's not too ridiculous...
  6. Is it my own ignorance, or does it appear that he didn't dip his head nearly as bad as he does now. There was some movement then, but now it's really pronounced. And a lot more lower body action then, too. Halcyon days...
  7. I have a Rifle in my 3 wood and a True Temper in the 5...I prefer steel over graphite, with the exception of the driver.
  8. Sometimes I'll play in a Tuesday night scramble and get stuck with the pessimistic guy..."that's no good", "gotta be closer than that", etc. To top it off, we won't even play one of his shots all night and it's like he intentionally putts off-line. I want to give him the ol' Jack Hamm...
  9. Love when the Don describes every course they play as "the best course in (your state's name here)." He is so full of hyperbole that it drips out of his nose as he walks.
  10. I LOVE this show. From the ostentatious theme song ("Simply the Best" by Ms. Tina Turner), to the bizarre ramblings of Donnie with his co-hostess who rarely speaks. I hope that for season 2 Donnie ups the ante and allows Indian leg-wrestling to decide honors on the first tee. Thoughts?
  11. Working on hitting from the "slot" position...
  12. Tiger's legacy (to NOW): one of the greatest golfers ever, complete fraud off of the course.
  13. At the very least you should consider the club extension option. If you can get lie angles adjusted, do it as well. If you continue to play with clubs that don't fit you, you will make compensations with your swing that will be nearly impossible to correct later!
  14. Hey man, whatever works. Obviously with your 'cap you know what you're doing...tour players get individual clubs tweaked all the time. Just one word of advice: take them to someone that KNOWS what they are doing. Since your irons are forged they should bend pretty easy, but I had a terrible experience with a club pro here that bent some Cleveland wedges (also forged) for me. Broke the 56* at the hosel and turned my 52* into an 8 iron. His response..."yeah, happens sometimes." Not acceptable. Moral to the story is ask around and make sure you find a person with some experience and commitment to doing it right.
  15. Catherine Zeta-Jones. Her handicap is Michael Douglas. But, wow, her swing is soooo fluid...
  16. I don't think clubs or balls under normal circumstances would rust because of playing in the rain. Maybe if the clubheads or shafts had deep abrasions or scratches...
  17. Thanks Hokie...anyone else?
  18. I'm looking to replace the stock shaft in my new Burner, and after looking around a bit I believe the Motore F1 75 gram is the best fit for me. Just wondering if anyone plays this shaft and your thoughts on how well/badly it performs...thanks in advance for your feedback.
  19. 2009 Masters...Perry absolutely stuffs iron on 16...Cabrera makes a "longish" birdie putt and shrugs his shoulders as if it doesn't matter...then the unraveling began and Cabrera wins the thing. Ruined my weekend because I was pulling for Perry, but Cabrera, when on his game, can beat ANYONE and seems to have the proper perspective on things. BTW, his caddie Eddie (not sure if he's still employed by Angel) was on "The Big Break" USA vs. Europe AND the first installment with competitors making a repeat appearance.
  20. I think Norman could've done better than Scott. Perhaps he can pick it up and play well, but I have doubts. How can someone with such a good golf swing play so poorly? Sabbatini, by his own admission, hasn't played very well of late either. I like the Ishikawa pick. The kid's got nothing but upside, and even if he doesn't do that well in the President's Cup, it can only help push him to the next level. If you compare the quality of competition, on paper, the President's Cup always offers higher ranked golfers than the Ryder Cup. I prefer watching the President's Cup matches for that reason.
  21. More annoying than distracting, but when you are getting ready to hit a shot and you can see him playing with his phone, it can get distracting after a while. It also takes him longer to play than others, even though he is close to scratch, because he's always reading or typing a message. Ridiculous.
  22. Playing partners that are constantly on the phone make me want to smash their heads with a wedge. It is completely acceptable to check your phone a couple times a round, or to return an important call. But the constant TEXTING drives me into a blind rage. One of my good buddies texts EVERY TIME he gets into the cart. EVERY TIME. I have stopped asking him to play because we don't even talk to each other and his texting is annoying and distracting. Our other buddies even mock him to his face when he is doing this, but he is so obsessive he can't stop. If you are like my friend, STOP. Soon you won't be able to get a game.
  23. Here's a good grip grooming tip: don't use soap and water, clean them with rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol. Soap can actually cause the rubber to degrade faster. After a good cleaning with alcohol, grips should feel almost new...maybe not 15 year old grips, though...
  24. [QUOTE=is2linda;363536] My friend, do not forget the role the Freemasons have played in this. In the late 1700's, a group of Freemasons led by none other than George Washington discovered the formula for Zolex, a revolutionary material that obsoletes titanium. They knew that they could never allow the power of Zolex to be used for evil, and hid the formula from the world...until one day in the summer of 1979, when a caddy at Pinehurst named "Peg Leg" Robinson discovered the hidden formula inside an old ball washer...
  25. [QUOTE=Big_M;363383]This topic has already been beat to death... Can you ever have too much Hammer? NO! True story: played in a 9 hole scramble last night. One of our regulars shows up with a new driver. "Hey guys, you're all in trouble..." Dude tees off on 1, short par four. Drives the ball 421 (checked on my SkyCaddy), past the green by 116 yards. The incredible release of power and energy from the Hammer 1)blinded my playing partner for 30 minutes; 2)caused a small tornado to form over the clubhouse, destroying several carts; and 3)knocked the wig off an old lady trimming her hedges. He is not welcome back... I think Zolex makes stainless steel and titanium obsolete! POWWW!!!
