  1. My only realistic goal for 2019 is to break 80. I started golfing again this past spring and only 12 times all season ( it was a great beach weather in Atlantic Canada this past summer) My first round was a disaster 124, I just dusted off the clubs and hit the course. Started changing out clubs and hitting the range twice a week and the scores started to drop. 4th round broke 100 (99). fast forward to 11th round at a fairly easy course 86 no lost balls. my last round was at tougher course I shot another 86 and again no lost balls..... I have never played a round without losing 1 or more balls let alone 2 in a row. So how do I plan to break 80, practice, practice, practice my putting. My wife got me a 3"X11" putting green thing for my Birthday and I put it to use 20 min/day, 5 days/wk. I think this will help a lot with the 3-4 putts and that will get me under 80. (I hope)
  2. As hard as the golf bug bit me this year, I can't be depressed with winter. My first sport love is ice hockey and so from mid Sept to the end of Mar, I get to play nets 4-6 times per week ( my goal is to deny yours) and the great thing about being a goalie is goalies don't pay to play. By not having to pay saves me $1600- $200/yr and most of the savings will go into golf come spring.
  3. Alien DS9 3&5 woods from 2000 or 1999
  4. I voted Ehhhhhh, but maybe turning into a snob. I just got back into golf this past spring and as the season progressed I started to change out some clubs. All my clubs were 10+ years old. The first swap was the driver, Cobra F7 replaced a Adams TL. Second swap was Cobra oversize 4 Hybrid for the 4I, I chose the Cobra OS Hybrid for one reason.... 0 offset, I can't hit an offset club for the life of me. Next was the putter, replaced a TM Nubbins with a Wilson Staff Infinite, the Beam model. The last change was wedges, replaced Wilson Be Cu wedges with Cobra Kings with versatile grind and they look so good with the black head and shaft. My irons are component clubs, XDS tour, they were the only 0 offset blades I could find that weren't going to cost me my left testie. The irons may change if I can find a set of forged 0 offset blades for $1000 or less. The only clubs that won't change are my Alien DS9 3&5 woods.
