  1. I hope yang keeps playing as he did in the majors. that would be major upset if he starts getting up there in fame.
  2. Ugh... I have lost couple of balls where i thought i hit it well on the fairway, and miraculously disappears. I sometimes find newbie golfers picking up balls in the rough, or buried in a ridiculous rough patch. it happens, thats why you buy a dozen ball.
  3. NICE! I also underestimated the power of the GPS, but it really takes out some strokes. the yardage sticks on the courses arent always accurate and i sometimes find myself short of the green, or stuck in the backside bunker. Although it wasnt a GPS, i burrowed a Bushnell from my friend and it knocked down 4 strokes! Hopefully for christmas imma buy a GPS or Bushnell
  4. It really depends what you need the most work on. For me i work on 1 thing per day, and i alternate. example: monday:irons, tuesday:approach, pitching Wedsnesday: short game and etc. Then again i practice about 4 times per week, and go out once a week. But when you practice, take time hitting the ball instead of mindlessly hitting them. Reset your body after 3 balls and pretend its a real game. try to focus on your alignments. I know it might look gay, but bring a camera or a mirror with you and set it up. post what you are doing and that way you will improve 3x faster.
  5. haha good stuff.
  6. Hm... i guess im a new generation golfer, but i dont care so much about appearance and little things like that. so many people complain "oh it looks so clunky, or it looks stupid and etc" but the way they hack their 3 irons it down right embarrassing. I love my TM rescue, it gives me the launch i need without exerting my strength, saves me from the rough, and gives me the distances i need.
  7. My dad has the burner irons. Its so forgiving and gives maximum distances. With a 7 iron i can carry 190 yards no problem. G10 isn't so bad, but i dont like the feel at impact and it looks too clunky to me.
  8. describe your slice, then we can help. It can be multiple reason, casting outside in open face inside out with open face etc
  9. sounds like you have a outside-in swing. Most likely what you are doing is your trying to shoot inside-out, but your shoulders turn too fast inside during impact and you try to compensate it by arching, trying to emulate an inside-out swing. this is a common problem. You need to practice your swing path, by looking at the mirror. A helpful drill is to look at your divots to see if your club path is going the right direction. Next practice flipping your wrist to help square the club. I dont know exactly whats wrong, because i cant see your swing, sometimes it might be because you are swaying back on your backswing. Try moving front/ sway back to your address position at impact (this is not guaranteed because i havent seen your swing). anyways good luck. update your progress.
  10. Damn. i really want the newport 2!
  11. My top 3 would be 1) Taylormade Burner (cheap, gets the ball up, good distance) 2) Ping G10 (Easy to use, good distance) 3) Nike Sumo (Very forgiving, good distance)
  12. 07 madza 3 baby. zoom zoom!
  13. Generally all shafts have different flexes, not all stiff are all stiff. but generally what would happen if you are regular shaft user switching to stiff shaft, is change in launch angle and carry. It might also alter your directions too depending on how you hit the ball. you better get fitted at your local golf shop.
  14. IMO i think taylormade makes one of the best drivers. it just sucks that non of them ever hold value and they have to release new clubs like every other month. i have the burner fairways and feels and sounds good to me.
  15. i usually draw a green line on the word logo, then i color in four dots and connect them to look like a 4 leaf clover. its my lucky ball
  16. usually 10-11 dollars where i live
