  1. Honestly I dont find it that complicated. Just hellishly hard to master. It´s a bit easier hit a football then a small golfball on a tiny rod. Golf is quite a simple concept to grasp. Get the ball in the hole as fast as possible avoiding misshits and obstacle. But some make it way more complicated then it is! What do you mean is false with you can learn and improve your golf on your own after learning the basics? It´s not false whatsoever! Everything is not black or white but some people here discuss like there is one absolute truth. Dunno if we need to go off topic on the instructor again. Some are fishing so hard for it though... There is a thread knotts stubborn take. Just don´t expect any responses though 😉
  2. I never said I know what strokes gained statistics are. I said I don´t have access to it right in the previous post? Learn to troll properly! It´s supposed to be added to shot scope V3 so will soon see what it´s all about. What is it with all the aggressivity on this forum? My intuition? I mean I generally know what shots lead to me double bogey a hole or sorse. I have a pretty solid idea what to work on. Looking at my statistics from Shot Scope V3 don´t give me a clearer picture.
  3. I guess that is what the stroke gained feature is about. I don´t have access to that yet. But still don´t see how that would change what I feel I need to better myself on to score better. I only play on my home courses though so always have a clear plan of what I want out of my shots.
  4. Sorry if I misinterpreted it. I figured you wanted to use statistics to get ideas on how to improve your game and what to practise on? I get that info from the rounds I do directly. I know where the strokes go.
  5. I think its obvious when I am playing if I do bad shots or bad decisions
  6. Something like Shot Scope would be convenient then perhaps. But tbh I have trouble to see how statistics would help me score better. Theory is quite simple afterall. Everybody knows that GIR is a good thing... it´s execution that is hard and always get it right on first try 🙂
  7. Lost balls is a very important stat. Quite new to statistics I have an eye on which clubs I tend to use most. Keeping an eye on distance and consistency on driver versus 3 wood to get a better idea. Also trying to figure out the exact distance my H22 likes to go.
  8. Your spirit wasn´t broken for long. Every hole is a new hole I have a lot of holes I was completly broken on 🙂
  9. Ok GPS not always accurate. Measurements got stuck on a hole but came back next hole like nothing happened. Cloudy day or old track data perhaps. They redone parts of that hole. Will keep an eye on it next time. I still have to add shots think I average 6 lost shots and sometimes wrong tag. It destroys stats a bit when you have to manually add them. Fun with statistics. Use 3w and hybrid much more then my wedges. Chipper dominate my short game so party that but even with that includes. I need more distance. Also my driver average 10 metre more then my 3wood. I hope that gap will increase as I am getting to grip with the driver. Surely have a couple of short misshits on it. A fw 5 may replaces a wedge just have to decide which
  10. I did fool myself in my early years in term of handicap as I only tended to register decent to good rounds. But never been that focused on score tbh.
  11. Tin cup. Would be an eagle if it wasn´t the repeatedly oob finale.
  12. Ball retriever gives a lot of Joy. Beside that always enjoy hitting my 3wood. Hybrid is also quite fun. You are always curious where the ball will go with these but most often they are fine.
  13. Tried the cleveland elevado a bit to soft for our slow greens and ball didnt matter much for that but yeah good putter.
  14. Happy Gilmore. Double bogey not better then I remembered. I watched some Sandler movies I enjoyed. But in a way it foresee which direction professional golf has headed 🙂 Would that hockey putter be deemed legal if it had a straight blade? Do I now dare to rewatch Tin Cup again? It would be quite fresh don´t remember a lot about it.
  15. Could you temporary use some tape on the shaft to add weight that you later can remove to see if it´s the swing weight?
  16. Same example but putting? If you have a putter without soft insert to dampen the impact? Sometimes I just feel the ball could be to blame for a missed putt the way the hard balls sometimes jump from the putter face. This is next step in experimenting with my Pro V1s.
  17. I am experimenting with Pro V1s at the moment. Have not noticed any loss of distance over various florida balls I tried of all kind. I seem to pick the right club anywayN I am just a 100 mph driver swinger and less then 85 mph iron swinger. I generally play with florida balls I find on course that is in good shape. I haven´t noticed any loss of performance with them versus diverse stone balls and other cheaper "soft" models of the likes of wilson. For me I would get balls that feels nice with my putter. Some stone balls is just awful on the putting green but can be okay to hit onto it 🙂
  18. 18 holes today at Sörfors GK. 96. Two disaster holes or it would be quite decent particularly since I didn´t have much luck on the putting green. Great fun though I am starting to hone in my new driver and put a new chipper in play which really made life easier.
  19. 18 holes in I believe I am in love. So many roll ins with super accuracy besides the pin. And one rollin directly into the hole. Feel like I can use it and get the exact same precision as a putter close range. And due to the secure strike my dispersion so far is great with it also on full shots. The pressure of hitting it well is off I can relax with it so much which of course helps distance control with less adrenaline behind the stroke and only have to think about pacing. Approach shots from 70 metres excellent results also. One blooper though. Had a lie behind some rocks but they where a bit ahead and I was sure I would have enough launch to clear them. I was wrong. At one point I thought it was my undoing but luckilly it bounced right up and oob 90 degrees in the wrong direction :D. That hole the very same chipper saved a double bogey by a 5 metre chip into the hole.
  20. Another round this time all clubs mapped. Despite that just as much editing. My Hybrid tag got confused by my i8 tag some times plus some odd drivers from nowhere. Besides the shots that wasn´t registered. If you duff and just hit some 20 metres it often seem to believe it´s the same shot. I am lazy not taking a ton of practise swings but if it don´t get worse then this its managable. Luckily I have no issues with the editor simple enough. I have no issue with the comfort. I have not worn a watch on my arm for 5 years but I never think of it. It dont get in the way. And gps always seem really accurate.
  21. What is the shot gained feature? I am a bit disappointed their support hasn´t fixed the pars on my home course. Read several reviews stating they had dedicated staff dealing with correcting the course info. Sent them a reminder now. Messed up my statistics but it´s nice to get an eagle badge 😄
  22. Makes sense for clubs trying for more effective cart usage or have more people walk the course for less wear. As for covid 19 dont see how sitting alone in a cart is safer then walking. That 2 metre distance is so easy to maintain and who knows what the guy using it before you have done. Not that I see that as a high riskfactor either.
  23. Double eagle. I had problems with Bales character at first but then watched a documentary and realized the manners was actually quite spot on. Racing scenes as usual didn´t look all that great from a simracers perspective. Last movie seen was midsommar. Swedish horror movie. Weird enough to work quite well. Par on a demanding par 4!
  24. Got my Cleveland Smart Sole C chipper today and initial testing show huge promise. I really lucked out on the shaft length and lie its custom fitted. Exact same length of the putter I bought just because of the stance I got with it. I can do a clean straight y-shaped pendulum shot that is absolutely impossible to miss in the most natural stance ever. Power delivery is the only thing my mind really need to be occupied with. Can use as much wrist action I want to add power with full control I can let loose it´s so easy with so few muscle groups having to work in combination. Full swings are surprisingly comfortable as well which I truly didn´t expect. Was getting dark but appeared to get the same distance as my 50 degree gw. Well hitted GW have a bit more of the trajectory I would want though as it goes higher and I believe with more spin. But can´t wait to test the chipper out as a fool proof GW replacement. I tried it in deep rough that have you go uuuunghgn. Seems to work very much like a short range hybrid in it´s ability to maintain enough pace to get some power to get the ball out. My 50 degree cleveland cbx I struggled with getting out with such consistency. It´s ligher clubhead tended to be more affect by the grass before finding the ball. Now curious how it will do with sand traps but yet to be tested. Appear to be more useful then I thought.
  25. Yes no doubt. Sim max in 9 degrees is Fade biased though. I was hitting constant straight bombs when trying ut out hence it convinced me. Also wonder about the Aerodynamic shape of the underside of it and how it affects the club path. I usually do figure my gear out though. I am fascinated that lower handicappers dont believe they can figure out things on their own but I dont judge and particularly not on handicap.
