For me it's quite important to have the right equipment so I DON'T think about it actually. By that I mean if I play with some awfully looking clubs I just can't focus on playing golf, I just keep thinking "****s sake, these clubs suck! So ugly! No way I am gonna hit the ball well.". I play my best when I just play golf without thinking about stuff. I do not really care if the gear I get is top notch or just average. Mainly I go for the equipment that I really like and that feels good.

I checked out the Burner at the PGA show today, and its so ugly! Looks so cheap. The superquad looks smooth tho.

Mine's Playing Lessons from the Pros too. Great to follow a pro around, especially picking up a lot since im new to the game.

I thought grooves helped the ball go straighter since you get a backspin, or am I way off? How does a smooth club head help you hit straight? *Confused*

Im not sure what you mean by distance regulation. If there was no regulation we would have balls going much, much longer and clubs hitting much longer. The golf balls are already travelling at insane high speeds. If they make them go longer, in other words faster, it would be firstly really dangerous. Imagine if someone got in the way, or a ball hit the spectators. Secondly all the courses would have to be changed, else all/many courses would be ridiculously easy. Hole in one on Par5 anyone? However, the issue about clubhead size, balls ect is interesting. Titleist will introduce seamless golf balls which will affect ball flight. Nike introduced a special driver design this year with the powerbow. Maybe we'll see more interesting/weird products in 2007 that will improve accuracy, length and so on within the regulations. Slow play is always a topic, and a good one imo. Maybe each club should take more responsibility, informing ppl in a better way or have more strict rules regarding the pace. Tiger Woods is dominating and maybe he will for several years to come. Interesting issue how this affects or does not affect the sport. He is still very young and striving for perfection. Etiquette is a great issue and Michelle Wie ... well, guess shes an issue :P

You got hcp 15, so you won't play pars and birdies on each hole! If you always had perfect tee shots and perfect short game ect, you would have a much lower hcp

I have got pretty much the same clubs you've got, GreensDruid. I have also been wondering what I should get. I really lack distance on the long par 4 and 5 holes. I start off really well with the driver, then I move slooowly towards the green - Or so it feels. With a wood I would probably save atleast one shot. I was advised to get 3, 5, possibly a 7 wood and maybe a hybrid too. I think I will atleast get 3 and 5 wood.

I have played about 20 rounds - many of those in wet grass/rain, and two of those rounds I really did feel cold and wet. One time on my toes and another time underneath my foot, just where the '360 wrap-around' is. Guess my pair must'v been defect since it wasnt just on one spot.

Hehe, $30 is a steal! Hope the new pair I get is better and actually waterproof. Can't wait to walk them in again!

I bought a pair of Adidas Tour 360 golf shoes about a month ago. Already they have twice shown not to be as waterproof as promised, however they got a 2 year warrenty so im not too worried. It's a bit annoying to be shoeless for a week or so tho. Im wondering if i'v done anything wrong regarding taking care of my golf shoes. Do you polish them often? Or should I not polish them and just wipe them off? I have cleaned them each time I have used them, and polished them twice so far. Not sure if the Tour 360 got 100% genuine leather or if it's partly or fully synthetic. Dunno if polishing synthetic leather harms it? Anyone else had problems regarding waterproof golf shoes?

Anyone know of any good courses in Denmark? I'v been in Denmark several times, but never been golfing there. Im planning a weekend trip and wondered what course would be most fun to play. Dunno if there's many danes on this forum, but I have heard they got nice golf courses.

Anyone wear sunglasses when golfing? Personally I prefer a cap if the sun gets in my eyes. Don't know if it's just me, but it seems like atleast some sunglasses distorts my eyesight. Anyway, I have to wear eyeglasses to get a perfect vision and even sometimes just to keep track of the ball!

I ground all of my clubs at address aswell. Guess it's because I want to start my swing about where I want to be when hitting the ball or something. Doesnt make sense when im using my driver tho

Just got a Nike SQ 460 driver which is the most expensive club in my bag atm. My first driver ever and loving it! So easy to hit
