My first round was 32 years ago, when I was 42. Having grown up in the Elizabeth Port in NJ, golf was something that never entered my life. We lived in a flat over a bar across from the Singer Manufacturing Company. At the ripe old age of 42 I put away the tools and became a manager, and the company president asked me if I played golf. I chuckled and said no, and then he said if you ever want to move up in this company you'll learn to play. The rest is history, at 74 I'm still working on my swing even though I'm long retired.
