^^^^ Lol...never know...my wife is pregnant! But we know they're not twins... ;) It does feel good to know all the amount of practice I've put into my game has really shown...To all the guys with low hdcp, I know my putting is not the greatest...last round was 36 total putts with 3x 3 putting, 2 holes I tripled...Again could've, should've shot in the 80s.... What are some drills you guys focus on when practicing putting?

After I started playing golf in late August, I knew my opportunities were going to be limited fairly quick living in Wisconsin. I played most weekends from end of August to the last weekend before Thanksgiving. From December through March, I went to the local dome once a week to work on irons and short game...I knew I wanted to get better and in order to do that I had to practice, practice and practice as much as I can...After work I putt and chip in my basement daily...

A friend of mine plays with the A4OS set and it is quite big. I compared his 3h with my Adams A2 3h and it is quite significantly larger.

Well I bit the bullet and bought a 'ZTech' branded 68" double canopy, UV resistant umbrella for $29.99...not bad of a price considering how well its constructed... -

Weather here in Wisconsin is 50/50 crap shoot...Scattered showers last weekend turned out to be down pour. I was lucky enough to bring my little umbrella but it didn't help keep my bag from the down pours...A nice 68" would definitely do justice. -

Yes I was looking at the PINGS, Nikes, Sun Mountains all double canopy 68"...I'm still debating if ~$60 or so is worth it...I found the new 2010 Nike VR black and red on Ebay for a good price but I need it for this weekend. -
Since my brother and I got caught in a down pour last weekend and looking to play this weekend with potential rain it appears to be an item that I must have in the bag now...I've been lurking but they're quite expensive...really for an umbrella.... Any recommendations in terms of type, where did you buy it from?

^^^ I was going to mention the Ping S57s...They are beautiful set! Right now if I didn't have my set, I'd be eyeing the I15s...with my improvement ball striking... :)

I still see G5s and G10s at the local golf galaxy...Not at the new Golfsmith shop though...

Why'd you choose the clubs you play?

For me being a new player in the game, I did alot of trial and error with all my clubs except for the wedges... Driver - Older model but got it new for $99 and it hits awesome....I wanted a stiff shaft but the shop ran out... 3wood - bought from a member of Sandtrap...VERY nice club! After testing it at GolfGalaxy, I had to buy it... Hybrid - Got it from Dunhams sport for a steal price with a VERY nice shaft. As soon as I saw it for the price it was coming with me... :) Irons - Wasn't too fond of the look but found it on Craigslist for a STEAL. The set has never seen a course. The person had back surgery and the Doc told him to quit the game...His lost, my gain! Wedges - co-workers old set...He upgraded to Vokeys and gave up the TMs to me for free.... Putter - Perfect fit for my budget and the feel is very good...its an Odyssey... :) -
I agree...pitching from 40yds into the cup to save bogey...it was thrilling but the scorecard wasn't..lol..

I picked up some Izod golf shorts and wore them on the hottest day out 2wks ago and played 18. It was the most comfortable I've felt in a long time.

Shanker replied to Dr. Slice's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I've been playing Bridgestones e6 and now just picked up some e7s...Price is a tad cheaper then Titleist NXT tours and plays just as good...I have also tried BX330 tour series and its also a very good ball... -
I can contribute to the PING thread :) I've been playing my Rapture Irons for about 13rounds now with alot of practice in between and it has definitely helped my ball strking ability. I just started playing late summer of 2009 and ball striking with the Raptures are forever forgiving and LONG. Before I found these bad boys with a steal price locally, I tried various different types of clubs from TM, Nike, Callaway and Titelist. Of course the Raptures are SGI so it was suited for my game. My hdcp is currently a 20.3 but considering I just started playing last year average score in the 120s to hovering mid 90s is HUGE improvement... To my new to me Ping Rapture Titanium 3wood is also a very nice club. Its a 220cc club head that is a tad larger then your normal 3wood but it is very forgiving...I played with it for the first time last weekend and it was a long as some of my friends driving distance...When they say the Rapture is a SGI/Forgivness club, they are definitely correct in that category....

for me it depends on the day as to how my swing is going...hybrid for me could be really good and other days could be a slice maniac...my 4i is comparable to my 3h so it all depends on the lie, how wide the fairway is, etc... With a hyrbrid I tend to slow down my tempo on the back swing and come through like I would hit my 4i and some times it works some times it doesnt...I feel what you're sayin' though, I do have more control and accuracy with my irons then my hybrid...Just keep practicing them since those A3OS are basically all hybrid irons....

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
Shanker replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
New golfsmith opened in my area...bought some Bridgestone e7 balls for a great deal! -
Ping Rapture 3wood 14* Titanium. First time playing with the club yesterday and its definitely more accurate then my driver in terms of narrow fairways...It was as long as some of my friends driving distance. Very happy with it!
