  1. They normally charge $20 but I can't answer what the OP was charged if anything.
  2. I would recommend you call The Golf Station in Euless. The owner is a former Nationwide Tour player and the other teacher there has been a PGA member since about 1980 or so.
  3. I don't know when this was filmed, but that is pretty much what the range looks like every time I've been there. I have also taken 2 lessons from the staff there and managed to puck up a couple really bad habits there. And unlike any other lesson or round of golf I've had, my back hurt really bad during and after too.
  4. I hope to play on the 21st but y'all have fun on Sunday.
  5. In his post round comments Ricky said he wanted a 5 iron in his hands to go for it. I've heard several times this year that his layup distance is 100 yards, so with him 85 out he did miss that target too. His other two playing partners went for it and made it, but something like 75 of 250 players going for it there made it. Should he have done for it? Probably. But its not like that hole lost the tournament for him.
  6. I heard he averages 6ft from the pin on wedge shots at his layup position, so I am sure he had birdie penciled in as he was over his 3rd shot. If he makes bird there I don't think we are talking about it. It was a calculated risk that didn't work out. It's more exciting to see guys going for it, but I gotta think if I KNOW I will be inside 10 feet for bird verses trying to hit it in two and having a tougher 3rd if I miss that I will lay up. If I understand the reshuffle, Rickie will be #1 on that list and currently sits about 15 on the money list with his 2011 card secure. So him laying up isn't a fail either.
  7. I have no problem hitting a 300 yard drive as long as I have a helping wind and the ball is rolling down a cart path with a curb to keep it from rolling back onto the grass. Oh...you said consistently. 220 it is....
  8. This is one of the three main reasons I am quitting GolfTec.
  9. Without Miller in our nets I think Canada wins the game. And I think the Mets should give Brodeur a tryout. That swing could net you 25 HR a year....
  10. He said his Adams rep forgot to send a new 3 wood and had to use a hybrid 1 all week. I didn't watch the coverage today, but he also said on his twitter feed that the conditions were very difficult. Everyone had to play in the same thing though.

    Duval...

Hoping for a good showing by Duval and Fowler with a Stankowski win. Top 2 and maybe 3 would get Fowler his card for next year.
  12. This is spot on. I smoke a pipe or cigar about once a month or so but have never done so on the golf course. More from forgetting it and not really having a way to hold it when I am swinging. But it really grinds my gears when there are all these butts all over the place. Especially here in Texas where it is dry and windy and there are burned spots in areas. Really, how dense do you have to be to drop your butt in dry grass on a windy day?!
  13. I bought an iPhone in about September and decided I was fed up with Windows in October. Now own a MacBook Pro and am wondering what took me so long to make the change.
  14. Agreed. I don't have to agree with you, but as long as you are not breaking laws/putting people in danger it isn't really my business.
  15. I keep my bag/bucket and put the extra balls in the cart with me. When I'm done with my round I just drive back to the practice area and go to work.
  16. Everyone knows the pin and what the landing areas are. If you hit a perfect shot you are within 5 feet. If you miss you can bag a 9. Or you can go all course management on the hole and hit the back left and 2 putt for par.

    Duval...

With purses being a little smaller this year I think he needs $100K to make the 125.
  18. I don't want to, but I have to agree with this. I think the suit is nonsense, but I think the judge had to allow it as he did. And hopefully he can countersue for his expenses. Lawfully, he may be able to counter for more than that, but if he were to do that I would look at him like I do the woman suing him in the first place.

    To:

It was brutal, but I have made much easier holes look much more difficult. And I didn't get paid to do it. Just wait for that hole location on the Sunday of the US Open!
  20. I haven't seen it on the PGA telecasts, but I see Langer with his cigar on the Champions Tour often. I really don't see what's wrong or irresponsible. There are a lot of things that are, in my opinion, worse that showing someone smoking.
  21. Agreed. A JB, DD, DJ playoff would have been cool.
  22. There was an amateur cut so only the top 25 pro/am players are in today's field. Even if you miss the cut as a pro you would play today if your am partner made his cut. There were three pros to make a 9 on the 14th today.
  23. This is sad but true. The first time I had jury duty I made comments that are entirely true that caused the judge to feel it necessary to mail me a personal letter defending the system.
  24. I don't know your range setup so it may not be possible, but wouldn't an answer to that be making each shot a different target/flag/point?
