  1. I also have the moods come over me. I see some say exercise some say diet but I think that with the everyday struggles of life we are going to have these days no matter what. I do exercise or work in the yard to take my mind off it but this usually does not remedy the problem. I think the key is to not let it take over your everyday activities. Stress is a part of life. It is how each indivdual deals with it that makes the difference. Good luck and keep hacking.
  2. I think it is to each his own. I like some of the things on the site an not so much others. This is true with every clothing line I check out. Under the quick links there is a shots in the ruff link. Three quarters down the page is a tat of a skeleton in knickers with a club and a flag behind him. I have this same tat on my right arm. When I am golfing I could care less what anyone thinks of my clothing. I also could care less what anyone else is wearing. I am there to enjoy myself as they are. I also think that comfort is a part of the game. I am not trying to impress anyone. I am comfortable with who I am and what I wear. Which is usually cargo shorts and a polo. If others don't care for this I really do not care.
  3. I finally got to play a round with this club. I preformed very well. Nice solid feel and good distance.
  4. I have a Callaway FT-iq driver which I have played about 4 rounds with. Today I had a friend offer to sell a lightly used Ping G10 driver at a very good price. I really was not in the market for a new driver but the offer was too good to pass up. I was wanting some opinions of these drivers. Of course I will compare the drivers based on how they preform for me but would still love some input from others.
  5. No way. I will say that the Orangemen have a very good team. Being a Kentucky fan the zone they play makes me hope the cats do not run into them unless the three point shooting comes around. A professional team would have no problem with the zone and man to man would be a disaster.
  6. I am having a problem with topping the ball with the driver and three wood off the tee. This is a problem that I have not had except for when I first started to play the game. I can not figure out what has happened. This is not only a problem it is quite embarrassing. Any ideas?
  7. Upsets will happen. That is the nature of the beast. We will see how it all shakes out during March madness. However it ends up I am very pleased with the Wildcats and look forward to many more winning seasons.
  8. The first Diablo is what I purchaced. I was worried that the draw bias may affect my ball flight. One thing is for sure I have never been disappointed with any Callaway product I have purchaced. I should be recieving it any day. I am sure this nasty weather has something to do with it not being here already.
  9. I have just ordered a Callaway Diablo 3 wood draw version. I am wondering what others think of this club. I have not recived it yet but can not wait to hit it. I have been very pleased with all the Callaway products I have purchaced over the years.
  10. Cousins may sometimetimes act like a kid but that is because he is. He is very young and needs to mature. As far as the bitch comment. This bitch will be a lottery pick.
  11. I have the Callaway FT-iq in my bag now. The driver before this one was the FTi. I love them. They are easy to hit and very forgiving. You can work them however the draw is a harder shot to hit. Callaway improved the look as well as the sound with the FT-iq and the Fubuki shaft is great. It is also longer than the FTi. It did take me a couple of rounds to get used to the look at address but now I don't think twice about it. It helps me find more fairways so I could care less about look or sound.
  12. As far as being good this year with Billy G. I don't see it. No John Wall. No Demarcus Cousins. No eric Bledsoe. Also his conduct toward players ad well as a DUI arrest was not what the university needed. Also playing in the NIT tourament is not acceptable. I am sure he will find work and do very well. Just not here. As far as the crime rate going up in the state of Kentucky because of baskeball recruiting I don't see that happening. Just because kids may come from a ruff area or were living in poverty does not mean they are going to be theives and thugs. Some maybe but you can not judge people by where they have grown up as a kid or how well off their family was. I grew up in poverty and I am not a thief or a thug. I do appreciate the opinion but I can not fully agree. I guess that is why we have these forums. Thanks for the reply.
  13. Here are a few things I do to keep me occupied and work on the game too. I take my hitting mat and chip balls to diffrent landing areas in my living room. It does not help gage the roll out distance but helps as far as hitting a specific landing point. I also use the same mat to practice short pitches. Using one of my wife's plastic mixing bowls as a target. I do not like putting on carpet but I do just to make sure the stroke is back and through. I also take a club to the top just to check if it is in the proper location at the top of the backswing. I am no expert but I hope this helps some. Good luck.
  14. I agree with KYgolfer. On a night when they are on it would be hard to find anyone who can play with them. That being said there are alot of teams that when things are going their way that would be hard to beat. I am still very excited and think the sky is the limit for this team. They are growing as a team and getting better with every game. After a few years of lackluster basketball it is nice to have the excitement back. Do you think if Billy G. was still the coach we would be having this conversation. I think not.
  15. I can not wait to work with this some but the weather will not let up. In the middle of another storm now. Hopefully it will help. I hope to add it to my preshot routine so it will be ingrained as part of every shot.
  16. I went with a silightly smaller grip(.580) and they feel really nice. I feel as if I have more control.
  17. I have tried alot of diffrent grips. Most are pretty expensive if you are going to regrip the whole set. I recently purchaced a set of Golf Pride Dual Durometer grips. They have been out for quite some time. I had Golf pride New Decade's on my clubs before. When I compared prices it was not close. I got the whole set of DD2'S on ebay for 27.99. I have only played twice with them but they seem to be comparable to others. I actually like the feel of the Dual Durometer's better. Not as ruff on my hands. Is there really that much difference?
  18. I have had some of both but mostly to the right(slice). I am having a hard time understanding how one day is good and the next is bad when the swing seems to feel the same.
  19. Myself I hope he returns soon. What he does off the course is none of our business. The media feeds on this and I think it is a shame. That being said I do not agree with what he has done. Everyone makes mistakes. Can you imagine if the tabloids printed articles on everyone who was unfaithful to their mate. How big would that magizine be. I do think this has hurt his squeaky clean image but to talk about taking away how he makes his living crazy. I hope all works out for him but lets face it. The PGA tour needs Tiger way more than he needs them.
  20. As far as launch angle I am not sure. It just seems that I have a hard time getting the face squared up at impact. This small adjustment seemed to help me get the feel of impact at address. I have only tried a few times so I am not sure it would work long term. That is why I wanted feedback from you guys. So far it seems as if it may be o.k.
  21. My last trip to the golf store I purchased a Callaway FT-iq 11* driver. I only got to play two rounds with it before mother nature put an end to the season. I try to stay away from golf outlets. My wife said to quit buying new equipment or she was out. I sure will miss her.
  22. My goals for the upcoming year. More consistancy. Knock three strokes off my handicap. Work on the short game more. Enjoy every minute on the course no matter what my score is.
  23. Not sure on this one. He has the ability as do many others. I love his swing. It is simple and consistant. I hope he wins one but it is really hard to say.
  24. I am new to this and was wondering how to have what is in my bag show when posting a thread or replying to one. I am really enjoying the forums and so far it had been helpful.
  25. I feel your pain. It seems like when we dig out from one storm another is on the way. I have had enough. Mother nature has hammered us. Bring on spring.
