I'm looking to add a wedge or 2 to my bag...my AW part of my iron set is 50...so should i get a 54 or 56 sand? would 50 to 56 be too big of a gap? Also, some people strongly advocate the 60 while others say it's only really necessary for pros...Is it worth it to get a 60? Lastly, what do you guys think about scratch wedges?

For the first time shooting 88....although... It was a Par 70 with a rating of 64.9. It felt good either way.

This has never happened to me but I have often wondered what the proper thing to do would be: If you hit a shot way left or right and end up on the green of another hole, what should you do? Putt off and then take an approach shot towards the green of your hole?

the VR split cavities look very very nice. I am thinking about getting a set of the full cavity irons...I love the VR line.

Does anyone know anything about Maruman? They don't seem to have much of a presence here in the US, but I inherited a Maruman iron set that I've used pretty much my whole golf life. They're Maruman Verity-U's, I'm guessing about 10-15 years old. My uncle actually bought a new set of Maruman irons a couple months ago and spent around 1000, so they must be decent...? Any thoughts? Hi everyone from socal. Does anyone know a good teacher in the LA/LA county area that they can refer me to?

I probably spend around $150 on playing and $50-75 on range balls so maybe 200-225. The course I play the most is Brookside, sometimes pay full price, sometimes get good deals on golfnow. I also play Harding and Hansen Dam occasionally. I also like to hit up par 3's (arroyo, dominguez hills) and scholl canyon.

I don't know if this is a sensitive/personal subject, but on average, how much do you guys spend on golf related expenditures (clubs, balls, green fees, membership, etc.) per month? per year? I'm a student so I don't have any money. I would say I spend around 250/month on green fees and range balls.

did you test out any other brands? or just the mx-200 and 300s? How do Ping G15 irons compare to the mx-200s?
